Chapter 17: In The Dark

Aurora stared at the nanar on that calm face. He was drowning in deep worry. His head was filled with everything about something that could have happened to the Prince. Although the palace doctor had asked him to remain calm, of course it did not completely make Aurora feel calm. His hand continued to clasp the cold palm of Abhlesh still lying on his bed.

Only the sound of the man's breathing made Aurora still feel life from him. He was even more worried when he saw that face that seemed to be struggling with pain. Something seemed to make him have to endure the pain in his dream. The girl tightly grasped Abhlesh's hand with both hands. He kept praying and asking for anything out there so Abhlesh could get through it.

Abhlesh's condition this time again caused his Mana to become unstable. It happened because the man spent his night awake all night. Now he had to restrain the movement of Mana in his body and fight in his subconscious.

The details of tears flowed within every breath of the girl. Occasionally he made sure that Abhlesh was still asleep and lowered his head again. Unknowingly the girl drained her Mana wrapped in all love and sincerity of her heart. The girl did not know that at all and remained drowning in grief.

He misses the smile and sweetness of Abhlesh that can make him smile. He misses a hug that could disappear at any moment. Now he could only pray, asking that the Gods lead Abhlesh back to him.

Inside, Abhlesh struggled. His face returned as if withstanding pain and his body was now getting colder. Aurora tried to warm the man's body by hugging him. The girl did everything to keep the man's body warm. His face panicked as the man's breath froze.

Aurora even willingly had to feel the coldness of Abhlesh's body fighting against her Mana. Aurora did not care at all if it would harm her. In the room was only her and the servant behind the door did not cross her mind at all.

He hugged Abhlesh tightly. The man's body slowly started to warm up and the man's face looked a little calm. Aurora rests her head on the chest of that field. Ensuring that the man's heartbeat and the sound of breathing were as if the melody of death were to him.

While Abhlesh, the man is now trapped in a dark room. He floated in a vacuum that he had never been to before. His body was cold, even he could see his frozen breath. Abhlesh could not move his body at all. The darkness seemed to hold his entire body and numb his senses. Slowly his consciousness began to die out, all the memories of his life and his life before becoming Prince Kaspian came to pass again.

Abhlesh just smiled. In his mind, maybe today was his last day and maybe he had died out there. In that silence Abhlesh remembered the face of a man. The face of a girl he somehow misses so much. The girl was sad and looked at him.

"Why are you sad Aurora?"

Abhlesh said that line while closing his eyes. Really, that shadow was the illusion that most did not want the man to see at this moment.

"Don't be sad, you are my reason now to be alive ..your tears are as if to tear my soul Aurora."

No matter how many times Abhlesh spoke, the girl simply bowed. Abhlesh looked at the face of the girl who was still grieving and extended her hand. As if bound, Abhlesh tried to reach the hand.

The man tried his hardest to move his whole body or even he wished only his hands could move. But all this darkness seemed to hold him back. Forcing her to continue away from that hand and carrying her in a bottomless abyss.

Abhlesh kept trying and the word despair was not in the man's dictionary. He even tried to bring out all his Mana that seemed to disappear. In her fight, the girl kept calling out her name. Aurora's voice seems to help Abhlesh in his fight to free his bond.

When his right hand was freed, Abhlesh tried to grab the girl's hand. The darkness seemed unwilling to release Abhlesh who was trying to reach Aurora.

"Let go!"

He got up and his body went back to how it was. Abhlesh now felt his Mana returning to him. The man's face looked tired, but a knotty smile was seen on his handsome face. He did not expect Aurora would be the key to his survival.

"All right, let's finish it."

Abhlesh grasped the light. His body seemed to be filled with energy and something seemed to pull him upwards. Abhlesh closed his eyes and when he opened his eyelids. Aurora fell asleep in her arms, the girl's face looking tired and full of worry.

Tears even flowed down her cheeks. Abhlesh wiped away the girl's tears and returned his embrace. The two of them are now facing each other and Aurora is still asleep. The girl mentioned Abhlesh several times in her sleep.

"Sorry to worry you Dear."

Abhlesh gently stroked Aurora's hair and kissed her forehead. A bold first kiss she gave the girl. Aurora smiled in her sleep and moved deeper into the Abhlesh's arms.

Abhlesh hugged Aurora tightly as if she did not want to lose the girl today, tomorrow or maybe forever. She was already immersed in the sea of love she had once avoided. While Aurora, the girl also feels the same way and gets caught in the trap of Abhlesh's love. Both of them spend the day in the weathering and comfort like an oasis in the middle of the Sahara desert.

Abhlesh no longer cared about the girl's reaction. All of this was already proof to him that Aurora felt how she felt. Aurora even fell asleep comfortably when Abhlesh gently stroked her hair. The girl seemed to be very tired of the sadness and worry that was afflicting her.

The coldness of Abhlesh's body caused him to fall asleep and, without realizing it, he was now in Abhlesh's longing embrace. Sometimes fate has its own way of uniting two nervous hearts.

Abhlesh smiled and went back to sleep. Hugged his bidadarah so as not to fly away from him. While Aurora hugged Abhlesh's body as if the Princess was afraid of losing her Prince.

Until the night before, they remain two lovebirds who are afraid of losing part of their lives. Pass the night in a smile and wake up in a pleasant atmosphere. Hope so.
