The Caspian and Federation borders began to show their respective movements. The Federation slowly sent their troops to the Kaspian border. They had already done so long before Abhlesh became aware of the Federation's plans.
Small forces were slowly being sent to the border. They did it on a small scale until Kaspian did not notice it. But this time it was different, the Federation seemed to understand the Caspian's thoughts and began to blatantly dispatch their troops.
One thing the Federation was unaware of was the presence of the two Caspian Knights that Abhlesh had placed there. They were both Igrit and Ashe. The two Conferred Knights with a reputation were slightly different.
Igrit is famous for being quiet and not talking much. The man was also known to be cold and always at the very front of the war. There were not many rumors about Igrit among the Caspian warriors, which was obviously a very strong man and probably stronger than Hektor.
While Ashe, the girl was known to be friendly and sociable. Yet a little wild and unconcerned about his words. But among the soldiers, her name was famous for the beauty as well as fighting ability she had. He is on par with the Kaspian Mad Dog who is now with Hektor elsewhere.
For normal warriors their strength was both already far above average. But the war is still scary for some people. The chances of being killed when the war had already broken out were extremely high. The nightmare seemed to haunt them lowly warriors who were on both sides.
But that was not the case for Igrit and Ashe. They are playing a game of chess on one of the balconies of the Kaspian border castle. Ashe looks very serious facing Igrit who plays while reading the book in his hand. After his turn was over Ashe smiled smugly looking at Igrit's still expressionless face.
"Hoho this time you're gonna lose bro!"
"Sister."
One word from Igrit wiped the smile on Ashe's face. The girl picked up the chessboard before her and threw the object with all her might towards the Federation.
"Milk ...."
Ashe sighed and smiled back at Igrit. He was very upset that defeating Igrit was almost impossible for him. Just look at the man, he was not even serious about facing Ashe and his gaze was still locked onto the little book in his hand.
"Why did you throw it away Ashe?"
"Wasted what? ... Hey you! did you see me throw something away?"
The sentence Ashe addressed to one of the soldiers who were around the two of them. The sharp look in his eyes and the killing aura he directed made the soldier shake his head and Igrit told him to leave.
"See? I didn't even do anything sir."
Ashe smiled widely and moved his chair beside Igrit. The man only sighed and slightly opened up space for the girl beside him to enter.
"What do you read, brother?"
Ashe drew closer his position to Igrit. But for both of them it is common and not uncommon for them to behave like that in front of others. Ashe considers Igrit to be the figure of a patient older brother and Igrit regards the girl as a troublesome little sister. They were very familiar considering Igrit was a mentor as well as a person who contributed to Ashe's life.
Ashe, who was once a lowly sea pirate, is now adopted as a Knight who has honor. But his nature sometimes makes others uncomfortable and in the kingdom, few people understand him. Ashe still holds a memory in which Igrit and Abhlesh save him from a dark past that confines him.
Now the girl rests her head on Igrit's shoulder. Igrit did not mind at all because Ashe was a little different from other humans. The girl has a secret that only a few people including her know. Even a Leo classmate is unaware of the secret Ashe told Abhlesh to shut down.
"Son, are we going to war?"
Ashe again broke the silence that bored him. Igrit closed his book and stared at the border not far from them. The castle they occupied was only the only place of defense that came face to face with the Federation.
"Why are you asking? war is boring and you could get hurt."
"Hehehe I just can't wait to try the gift the Prince gave me."
Ashe pointed at the necklace attached to her neck. The kaling was shaped like a ribbon that stuck tightly to his neck.
"Abhlesh gave it to you not to make Ashe a toy."
Ashe smiled widely and played her necklace. Igrit refocused on his book and ignored Ashe who again rested his head on Igrit's shoulders.
"Sister, there's nothing you want to ask me about?"
Igrit sighed again and kept the book. The man leaned back his body and closed his eyes.
"How's your relationship with Leo?"
Ashe closed his eyes and sighed softly.
"Just like sister's relationship with Madam Elizabeth."
Igrit smiled at the words coming out of Ashe's sweet lips. The girl really had no filter in her mouth. Even Abhlesh, a Caspian prince, does not want to bring up Igrit's relationship with Elizabeth. But this girl, herself even very smoothly said it.
"Then don't follow my path, Elizabeth and I are different, a strong woman like herself can't possibly see me Ashe."
Ashe laughed at Igrit's words. The man she already considered a brother was completely insensitive to Elizabeth's feelings.
"I'm concerned about Madam Elizabeth."
"You mean?"
Igrit turned to Ashe who was still beside him. The girl simply smiled at Igrit and rested her head on Igrit's shoulder. Igrit felt that there was something from the girl's sentence that made him curious. But Ashe is not an easy person to dig up information from him.
"Forget about me, has that guy still not proposed to you?"
"Not yet."
Ashe answered briefly and sighed.
"Why? I think that guy was a couple of times annoyed to see me."
"That's because he's a fool, brother .. Don't talk about that man anymore, I'm tired of waiting for him, I promise, after all this is over I'll look for him and enjoy the things I've always waited for him! look at Leo!."
Ashe stood up and his eyes looked fiery burning in spirit. Igrit once again let out a long sigh and expected the safety of Leo who might have a long day later. A guy like Leo who is quite shy will definitely be crushed by a girl like Ashe.
He could only look at their story and store it in his eternal memory. But something Ashe said to him earlier still made his heart a little worried. His feelings for Elizabeth he had long killed rose again. The memory of her taking Elizabeth off on another man was still on her mind.
Today, the Kaspian border is not only filled with the turmoil of war. The re-living feelings of Igrit and the turmoil of Ashe's romance color the curtain of time that is constantly moving in an unwanted direction. Now they both relax and spend a boring day with the stories of Igrit that put Ashe to sleep.
