Alena came out of the window where she came in. Queen Hana and King Leon stood in front of the window to see Ernest's departure. Finally the time came when they had to tell the truth if they had no children at all.

Queen Hana, still sad, wept at the passing of Ernest. It was a disgrace they always kept secret that even Arabella did not know of the secret because she did not remember anything due to the shock. Only a few of the palace ministers knew that truth. King Leon comforted his wife, he did not expect the secret they had kept for decades was finally revealed because of a book that was written by no one.

"How is this, Sire? I think our secret will be known to the whole palace."

"No need to worry, Ernest would not say this to anyone. I trust him and indeed, he should know this truth because I'm sure, he's finding out not without a reason."

"Did Ernest have a certain intent so he asked that?"

"For sure, no. He got the book from the Holy Order, I'm sure he was asked to find out the truth and regarding Mauren, we don't know where he came from because of the Father who brought him into the palace."

"I hope Ernest can really uncover all of this for peace in our kingdom to return. After the issue of Princess Mauren is a dim witch because she is not seen again, now our daughter is accused of being a witch and considered as the daughter of Mauren. Whether true or not, we don't know the origin of our two daughters either."

"I really hope that one of them is not the daughter of Mauren. If that happens, what kind of coincidence is this?" the queen mother asked but indeed, one of their daughters was indeed the daughter of Mauren's daughter.

"Whatever they are, Arabella and Ernest are our daughters."

"You're right, they're still our daughters."

"If so, let's get some rest!" the window closed, King Leon invited his wife to sleep because it was night.

Alena does not return to her room, preferring to be alone in a large tree to draw conclusions and compile past events that may have had a connection. Of Mauren's daughter who escaped and is rumored to have committed suicide, regarding her who is the daughter of Mauren's daughter, perhaps all have a relationship because it could have been that she was actually the daughter of Mauren's daughter.

Lucius put down the lantern he was carrying and sat down by Alena's side. He had heard that Ernest and Arabella were not the daughters of King Leon and Queen Hana.

"Are you okay?" ask Lucius.

"I'm fine" replied Alena.

The two of them were silent, no one spoke until Alena finally looked towards Lucius seriously and then sighed heavily.

"You heard it, didn't you? I am not the son of King Leon and Queen Hana. The possibility that I was Mauren's daughter is very true."

"It's just a possibility, isn't it? Though you are not the daughter of king Leon and queen Hana, but they love you so much and Arabella and even Arabella loves you as her sister so don't let this destroy your togetherness as a family."

"Alright, what you said is very true but there are some strange things I got from the stories of father and mother," Alena now looks serious.

"What strange thing do you mean?" ask Lucius.

"Listen well. According to Mother, Mauren's daughter left the palace when she was caught pregnant. He may not be able to face the anger of the people because he will become a concubine and become the hope of the people who are waiting for a successor. Perhaps at that time, he wanted the father to immediately make himself a concubine so that the child he contained was mistaken for the son of the father because thus, he was a concubine,  the child she gave birth to will be the successor later but before the incident occurred, her pregnancy was already known. According to the words of the old man I met in the village of Wesstrink, Lady Lilya could be anyone and she also said that if Lady Lilya died giving birth to her child and I felt that what the old man said was very true," Alena took a breath before drawing further conclusions and sorting the events that happened one by one.

"According to this book, Mauren's daughter is the last descendant of Lady Lylia and I'm sure it's written to be very true but regarding me being Mauren's daughter, that's not necessarily true."

"Why did you come to such a conclusion?" ask Lucius. He was getting curious and heard the theory from Ernest which amazed him even more.

"Well, you're right" said Lucius, "I heard that your father and mother said that he left the palace and ended his own life but did anyone see his death? Has anyone seen the body?" ask the prince.

"Damn, I somehow suspect that Mauren's daughter is still alive and she's the real witch!" said Alena. It makes a lot of sense. Mauren could have been alive all this time and in hiding.

"What about the child she gave birth to? What about the daughter" asked the prince. Alena seemed to think hard, she had to think of a reasonable theory and after a while, she finally got the theory.

"I know by now, Mauren's daughter must have planned it and I think that since long ago the supporters of Mauren's daughter were already inside the palace."

"You mean someone's been supporting him for a long time?"

"Listen, all this time it is impossible that no one was suspicious of the two children found by king Leon and queen Hana as princesses. If I were that baby boy, then, perhaps the people are not suspicious because they will assume the king and queen managed to undergo treatment and they went home with the princess who the queen was born before arriving at the palace but what about sister Arabella? All could count how old sister Arabella was and how long the king and queen went. I'm sure no one may suspect this but why is everything silent as if we were both daughters of the king and queen?"

"If it means that someone is manipulating the situation so that no one dares to make a sound about this."

"That's right, Prince. From the beginning, the enemy was already inside the palace and until now it was still. Who do you think can move the people and silence the people?"

"The ministers" said Prince Lucius.

"Yes, ministers. I'm sure Mauren's daughter was infiltrated with a purpose and I'm sure from the beginning lady Lylia's followers have been many. Because they wanted Mauren's daughter to have power so that their heretical sect would not be opposed and could continue to grow so they forced the previous king to include Mauren's daughter to be a concubine for the father let alone a very supportive state in the future where Mother cannot have offspring. Lest all have been planned and lest someone has poisoned mother and father so as not to have children" said Alena. "If so, does that mean your meeting with King Leon and Queen Hana at that time?" Lucius stopped his words, though,

"Aren't you aware of it, Prince? Mauren failed to come to power for sure he wanted the child he gave birth to in power. The news if the king and queen went for treatment, he would have gotten it easily because of the intruders, so they had a scheming plan. Princess Mauren must have deliberately allowed her daughter to meet the king and queen during the journey and out of pity, the king and queen adopt both children whom they find without knowing if one of the children he finds is the daughter of Mauren."

"If Mauren wants his son to be in power, doesn't that mean it?" Lucius stared at Alena who was looking at him sharply. They were both silent for a moment, with their own thoughts.

"That's why the issue of me being a witch came about because the followers of Mauren's daughter or Lady Lilya were afraid that I might seize the throne to rule. If I was hated by the people, there would automatically be no one to support even I would die at the hands of the people who hate a witch. There must be ministerial intervention controlling the people."

"A very cunning conspiracy, Ernest. Everything is planned so thoroughly. You were thrust into being a scapegoat and for decades the king and queen were unaware of the rotten conspiracy perpetrated by her ministers."

"The palace is not a clean place, prince. All conspiracies will happen for the purpose of certain people. Now it's time to burn this book because I don't need it!"

"Are you sure?" ask Lucius.

"Of course, now I'm counting on Agnes because only she can give me information and I hope Agnes can really count on me!"

"I'll be by your side as long as you uncover the truth" Lucius hugged Alena from behind. He wanted Ernest to know if he was with him at the moment.

"Thank you, prince. Now help me burn this book!"

In accordance with Alena's request, the book given by the Holy Order was burned so as not to fall into the hands of anyone. Alena does so that the enemy does not know if in fact she already knows who the enemy she has to face and she is very sure if Mauren's daughter is still alive and is now in hiding.
