Feelings That Can't Exist

Bastian barely slept on guard while Amy was asleep leaning against the trunk of a large tree, she could not help but feel extremely sleepy. Bastian looked alert as he saw a strange movement in the distance. It seemed like his guess was correct and it was fortunate that the Prince had already hidden Ernest's daughter.

A stressful night, Lucius did not even sleep because he was worried about Ernest's condition, who sometimes woke up to ask for water due to thirst. Lucius returned to administer antidote to the poison, he would keep Ernest until his condition was completely recovered.

The air that night was so cold, inevitably a bonfire was made in a damp cave. Lucius sat leaning against the wall of the cave while Ernest was on his lap and was still naked as Lucius hugged him tightly for Ernest to warm up to his body temperature. Surely a piece of cloth covered their bodies to avoid the cold air.

That night, Lucius fell asleep in a sitting position. Alena, who had passed the critical period, woke up with a still sick head. As soon as both of his eyes opened, what he saw first was Lucius's face. Alena is surprised, she is remembering what happened but before she remembers it, Alena realizes that she is not using anything as well as Lucius. It didn't take long, Alena's screams rang out then a loud slap landed on Lucius' face.

As a result of the slap, Lucius was shocked and woke up and as a result of Alena's scream, Amy was shocked and fell down from the tree but Bastian immediately grabbed her hand so that her body did not fall down.

"What did you do to me?" alena's screams sounded from inside the cave.

"It looks like you're okay, your slap is really painful" Lucius said, holding his cheek flushed from Alena's slap.

"W-What are you doing? Why aren't we both wearing clothes?" alena asked but before Lucius answered, Amy had already run inside.

"Daughter!" Amy ran towards Alena who was wrapping herself in a cloth and immediately hugged her. Alena tried to remember, she remembered she was hit by an arrow and fainted after coming out of the village. It seems like what she saw was really Amy before she fainted.

"I'm so glad the princess is okay. Lucky I met the prince otherwise, I don't know what to do because the princess was poisoned."

"So?" Alena looked towards Lucius who was wearing her clothes.

"Drink this, miss," Amy gives water to Alena.

"I'm just warming up, don't worry because I'm not doing anything!"

"The princess was exposed to a poison that is quite dangerous, although the poison has been sucked out by the prince and the princess has been given an antidote to the poison, but the state of the princess is still getting worse even the Princess shivered all night" Amy explained.

"Oh, no!" Alena looked at Lucius and felt guilty because she had hit the person who had helped her.

"It's okay, Ernest. I waited outside," Lucius who was already wearing his clothes stepped away.

"Where's the box, Amy? Is it still with you?" ask Alena.

"I gave the box to the Prince because I was afraid it was gone."

"Alright, help me change clothes" Alena said. He was about to move but he had no energy at all to move.

"Don't push yourself, Princess. Let me do it" Amy rushed to get a cloth and wet it because she was going to wipe the princess' sweaty body.

Clean clothes were worn on the princess, and after that Amy helped the powerless Alena out of the cave. Alena really did not have the energy, her head was very painful. While outside the cave, Alena almost fell because Amy was stepped on a rock. The two of them almost fell down but Lucius who happened to be on the side of the cave moved quickly to catch Alena's body.

"Are you okay?" ask Lucius.

"Sorry, I'm not powered at all" Alena replied.

"I'm sorry, I made things difficult for you and I'm sorry I slapped you in the face" Alena said.

"No need to think about it, this is what I am for and this is what I came for."

"You said you didn't have to come, Prince. I don't want you getting any further involved with the problems I'm facing."

"I can't keep quiet, Ernest. Do you think I can be at peace in the palace while you're in danger? I certainly can't leave you alone in that damned village!"

"But, prince. We shouldn't be like this!" Alena was already sitting on the tree trunk aided by Lucius.

"What do you mean, Ernest?"

"Surely I attended the feast because I wanted to tell you that we would never see each other again. That's why I gave you back the necklace. I want the two of us to never see each other again, Prince," Alena said.

"Why should that be? Did I make a mistake so you hated me and didn't want to see me again?"

"No, it's not that."

"Then? Tell me what's the reason that you don't want to see me again?" Now Lucius crouched down before Alena and held her hand, "Tell me why don't you want to see me again, Ernest? I don't accept if you don't give a reasonable excuse!" he looked at Alena.

"My brother likes you, Prince. I can't!" Alena turned away, unwilling to look at Lucius.

"What do you mean you can't?"

"You should understand and I think you know my brother likes you, Prince. I didn't want my relationship with Kak Arabella to be ruined because of men so I couldn't and I thought, we shouldn't be close like this and I also think it's better we don't meet again!"

"No! I don't accept your reasons, Ernest. I know Arabella likes me but I don't like her and I guess," Prince Lucius stood up, Alena's hands grabbed and held "You know who I like, don't you?" tanyakanya.

Alena was silent, the two of them looked at each other. Lucius sat by his side without letting go of his hands.

"What about you, Ernest? What do you feel right now for me? Is there not a little feeling in your heart for me?"

"No, Prince!" Alena lowered her head, of course, the answer given by Alena made her disappointed but Alena had not finished talking.

"This feeling shouldn't exist!" he said again, raising his face.

"What does that mean?" Lucius looked at Alena again.

"I've said I don't deserve it, I'm on a mission to prove myself. My path is still long because I don't know who the enemy is. Bad issues about me have made me hate everyone. You are the prince, the future king. You will be hated by your people if you choose me and I will be hated by my brother because I like you so there should be no feeling between us. That's why I think it's better we don't see each other again!"

"Alright, I know what you mean but I promised to help you and my promise is an oath so I will help you to the end. As for the feelings that exist between us, you won't be able to get around it, Ernest. Even if the entire palace hates me for choosing you, I don't mind and we both have to deal with it!"

Alena was silent, unable to say anything more. The problems he was going through were going to get harder and not let his brother hate him so that the problems were getting more complicated but as Lucius said, they did have to deal with it because back then, it was, Arabella is almost at the palace.
