That morning, almost all the servants looked towards the garden as they got a sight they did not normally get. Ernest's daughter, who is usually closed and does not want to get out of the room this morning, is in the park. Princess Ernest was enjoying the morning sunshine and also enjoyed a glass of tea accompanied by two loyal servants.
The news reached the ears of the queen mother and the king. The two of them were astonished to hear the news and rushed to see because they were worried that something had happened to Ernest's daughter but unbeknownst to them an unpleasant rumor spread from some dislikeful servants princess Ernest.
Today is the twelfth, they say if the princess deliberately basked in the sun as a ritual that she must do before the fifteenth. Surely the rumour spread quickly among the servants and some soldiers.
The queen mother and the king who wanted to see the state of their daughter were already in the garden of the Palace. Ernest got up from his seat and bowed to greet the arrival of his parents.
"Honor the one who started" he said. Amy and Agnes did the same, bowing back.
"What are you doing here, Ernest? You're weak, but why are you basking in the sun?" ask father.
"I just want to enjoy a little while in this park, Ayahanda," replied Alena.
"But you shouldn't be sunbathing too long" his mother stepped closer, I don't know what happened to Ernest but he really never was like that before.
"It's okay, Mother. My physique has been better the past few days."
"really? Does that mean your illness is cured?" ask mother.
"No, Mommy. But I've had too much rest so I want to be outside occasionally to enjoy the sunshine, to enjoy the birdsong and enjoy the beautiful flowers that are blooming in the morning," Ernest.
"Mother is very happy to hear that, Ernest. As a princess, you have to enjoy your time well" said her mother.
"Thank you, Mother."
"Alright, sit. There's something my father's gonna tell you!" father's orders.
"Ernest will listen to whatever your father wants to say" Alena said.
"Listen, it's about to be the fifteenth so you can't go anywhere. I want you in your room all day and all night for those who accuse you to see, if you do nothing on the fifteenth!" father's orders.
"Yes, Ernest. You're known as a witch who performs rituals every fifteenth, so you better not go out of the palace and show those people if you don't do it."
"The orders of Father and Mother I will follow but on this matter, I hope only we know" Alena asked.
"Why?" ask father.
"This is just a small plea from Ernest," Alena went up and bowed, "Please grant me" she asked again.
"Alright, sit back. Now tell me, why aren't you seen at the banquet?" ask father.
"I'm sorry, Father. I'm not feeling well, so I'm back in the room to rest."
"Well, you haven't taken your medicine today. Get me some medicine for Ernest!" the queen mother orders her trust servant.
"No, Mommy. I'm fine!" reject Alena.
"Ernest, don't reject your mother's good intentions!"
Alena's down, fuck. He hoped someone would help when the medicine came so he wouldn't have to take it. He couldn't possibly throw the medicine in front of the king and queen because it could offend the queen mother. Lucius who had been looking from the window of his room was getting curious, really he was very curious about the second daughter of king Leon who looked mysterious.
Lucius came out of his room, there's no harm in him going to the park, is there? Perhaps King Leon and Queen Hana gave him a chance to talk alone with Ernest. Perhaps that way he could get to know the mysterious princess better.
"A very pleasant time, King Leon," said Lucius as he was in the garden.
Lucius looked towards Alena before replying, Alena looked towards him and at that moment she got an idea. Alena stepped closer to Lucius and slightly bowed. Yeah, he's gonna use that prince to avoid the drugs he's given.
"Prince Lucius, I didn't expect you to accept my invitation" Alena said.
"Invitation?" Lucius looked at Alena fixedly.
"Did you invite her to tea together, Ernest?" ask mother.
"Yes, Mother. That's why I'm here to wait for him" Alena replied.
"Well...why haven't you been straight since? You should be outside."
"Sorry, Mother. I'm ashamed to say it," Alena pretended to blush. What an amazing acting. Lucius became increasingly curious as to what the surprise princess was about to play and why she lied to her parents.
"If so enjoy the time of the two of you. We will go" said King Leon.
"Thank you, Father," said Alena, bowing.
"Don't forget to finish the medicine, Ernest," said his mother.
"Good, Mother."
King Leon and Queen Hana leave them both. Alena was greatly relieved, thus she did not need to gulp down the poisonous medicine. All thanks to Prince Lucius, he had to thank him as well as apologize to him.
"I'm sorry, prince. I didn't mean to use you to lie" Alena said.
"What's up, Ernest. There's gotta be a reason you're doing this, right?"
"No, I just wanted to be alone, so I lied. Thank you for helping me," Alena leaned over and stepped closer to the chair.
"Does that mean you don't want me here anymore?" Lucius stepped closer, having taken advantage of himself now instead of driving him away. What a heartless princess.
"It's not so, Prince. Here there are only the two of us and I am known as a witch. Don't let your good image be tarnished just because you're sitting with me so the prince should get out of here" Alena reasoned when she didn't want Prince Lucius to be there with her.
"I don't mind, Ernest!" Lucius sat down before him and smiled. Alena looked at the prince with a suspicious look.
"Why? What else do you want to say?" ask Lucius. Looking at his movements, he was sure that there was something hidden by Ernest, who was known to be such a loser.
"Amy, pour some tea for your Highness the prince!" alena orders while giving a displeased look at prince Lucius. His agent's instincts said he should stay away from the prince.
"You don't seem to like me, Ernest"
"Sorry, Prince. I've gotten used to being alone so it feels really strange if suddenly there's someone near me!"
"Oh, huh?" Lucius took his tea following Alena who also took his tea. Alena looked at Lucius sharply from behind her teacup.
"Don't you do that because you have a secret, Ernest?" asked Lucius intentionally.
"What do you mean, Prince?"
"Looks like you know more than me!" the tea glass was lifted, a sly smile adorning Lucius' face. Alena's eyes grew sharper, for some reason she didn't like the prince. The tea glass was tightly clutched until it cracked but the prince only showed his smile.
Amy and Agnes were surprised, hurriedly changing the new glass. The flames of hostility were instead shown by Alena to the prince Lucius. If not for the sake of avoiding medicine, he would not have taken advantage of the prince and now, he did not like getting involved with him.
