Chapter 49. First Morning in the Palace

Laura woke up to the sound of an alarm clock on the bedside nightstand. Opening his eyes and confused for a moment with the state of the room where he woke up.

"I just remembered that I now live in Prince Albert's palace." Laura muttered with a hoarse voice typical of new people waking up. Move to turn off the sound of the alarm clock that continues to sound.

"Here I can't be lazy to get up early." Laura's complaint moved out from behind the blanket about to get off the bed.

That morning, six o'clock past thirty minutes, Laura moved to the dresser and sat on the chair tidying up her messy hair after taking a shower.

Tok tok tok tok

Knock the door from outside the room.

"Lake in !." Laura replied.

Gazing from the mirror's reflection as the room door opened, several servants emerged from behind the door.

"Miss Laura, this morning we served you." One of the servants told them the intention of their arrival.

"Yes." Yeah."

"We will prepare the bath water and tidy up your room." Said one of the servants telling the one who was only answered a nod of the head by Laura.

They all immediately moved to work, doing their respective tasks. Laura waited for the waiter who worked to prepare the bath water to finish filling the bathtub.

The waiter emerged from the bathroom. "Your bathwater is ready Miss Laura."

Laura stood up from her chair. "Thank you."

"Together Miss, is there anything you need ? You need us to help you get dressed ?"

Laura shakes her head. "No need, you can go. I can dress myself no need for your help."

"Well Miss, then we'll excuse you."

"Wait a minute." Laura suddenly said, stopping the steps of the servants.

"What's Miss ?" ask one of the servants.

"Breakfast morning and lunch time is also dinner at this palace at what time ?"

"Breakfast at seven o'clock is past thirty, while lunch as usual is generally at twelve o'clock and dinner time at seven o'clock is past thirty." Waiter explained.

"Thank you for the answer." Laura said with a friendly smile.

"Together Miss Laura." Reply they smiled kindly.

Laura waited for them to leave the room first before moving towards the bathroom, standing up to pick up her phone first before stepping towards the bathtub filled with warm water.

Put the phone next to the bathub and then step into the bathub.

"There's still plenty of time, I can soak a little longer." Laura muttered as soon as her body touched the warm water that was inside the bathub.

The servants even lit an aromatherapy candle and placed it right next to the bathtub without Laura ordering.

"Hhmmm, what a comfort." Laura muttered back with a long sigh.

Time passed without realizing Laura, glancing at her cellphone turned out to have been soaking for about fifteen minutes.

"It's time to get out and shampoo." Murmured Laura, stood up and stepped towards the shower for shampooing.

Inside the bathroom is a neatly arranged shampoo bottle that Laura used to use.

It turned out that Prince Albert paid attention to my needs, until even this small thing he noticed.

Laura took out a bottle of shampoo and began to clean her long hair. Laura's activities in the bathroom almost took thirty minutes. Finished cleaning herself, Laura came out wearing a bathrobe and a towel on her head wrapped her wet hair.

Stop in front of the neatly lined wardrobe in the walking closet space, choosing casual yet polite clothes.

"If Charlotte saw all these clothes, she would definitely scream in excitement." Laura muttered with a amused smile.

Clothes that are neatly lined up in the closet all come from famous designer designs.

In another part of the room there is a closet that contains shoes and bags that are neatly lined up of course also come from a famous brand.

"What a sight that must have made Charlotte hysterically excited." Laura bobbled her head imagining Charlotte's cheerful behavior.

After getting dressed and choosing casual but polite flat shoes, Laura stepped towards her dresser.

Wearing thin makeup on her face and shouldering up her long hair.

Feeling ready, Laura came out of the room. The layout of the room in Prince Albert's palace has not been memorized by Laura. Not yet knowing where the dining room is made Laura ask the waiter who happened to be passing in front of her.

"Can you show me the way to the dining room ?" ask Laura.

"Of course it could be Miss Laura." Respond kindly to the waiter.

"Please follow me." Add waiter.

Laura walked following the footsteps of the servant who was walking in front of her. Passed through several rooms and went downstairs but not the first floor because Laura's room floor was on the third floor.

"This is a private dining room in the palace Miss Laura, this room is used only for the royal family alone while to entertain guests who come to his own room on the first floor of this palace." The waiter explained before Laura asked.

"So it turns out." Laura understands.

"Then where's Prince Albert ?" Laura asked adding.

"Your Majesty will come down soon, please sit down while waiting for His Majesty." Answer the friendly waiter.

"Thank you, get back to your job."

"None right."

The waiter left Laura alone in the room. Laura approached the dining table and pulled one of the chairs in the middle of the dining table, sitting in wait for Prince Albert's arrival.

"You were waiting ?" Prince Albert's voice was heard.

Laura turned her head towards the direction the sound came from the door. Prince Albert smiled as he stepped into the room.

"It's just now Your Majesty." Laura reflexively stood up and smiled back.

Prince Albert pulled up the chair that was right next to the head of the table.

"Sit here Laura." Pinta Prince Albert.

Laura moved towards the chair that Prince Albert pulled.

"Thank you." Laura said before sitting down.

"Together Ara." Reply to Prince Albert while pushing slightly into Laura's chair, then towards his own seat at the head of the table.

Not long after, the waiters came with their breakfast food, arranged it neatly on the table and came back out afterwards.

Prince Albert and Laura started having their first breakfast together.

"How did you sleep on the first night of staying here ?" prince Albert asked in between their breakfast.

"My sleep is very good, Your Majesty, I did not expect to sleep that night on the first day of living in a new place." Laura replied acknowledging.

"Are not the rules of manners in the palace not allowed to talk while eating ?" Laura asked back.

"Of course it is like that but it only applies when eating with the Father and Mother or during formal dining events but it does not apply when we are alone." Prince Albert explained with a smile on his face.

"It's good that it's like that." Laura smiled with relief.

Prince Albert chuckled amusedly at the look on Laura's relieved face.

"Well, would it be for you if you had to meet with Father and Mother ?"

Laura smiled wryly. "If you're being honest, it's actually."

"But no matter how sooner or later, inevitably you will meet them because you will become a member of the royal family." Prince Albert reminded me.

"I know but honestly for now I'm not ready and I don't know when I'll be ready." Laura's face looked grim.

"Is this marriage so burdensome for you ?"

Laura looked at the face of Prince Albert who suddenly put on a serious face.

Laura gulped round her heart. "You want me to be honest ?"

"Yes, I want to hear your heart."

"All right, I'll be honest." Laura stopped giving a pause.

"I don't want this marriage, I don't want to be a princess and marry a member of the royal family. My wish is simple, to want to marry a man who loves me and I love him even if he's just a regular person doesn't matter what matters most to us." Laura finally let out her heart.

A moment of silence ensued between them, Laura did not dare to look directly at Prince Albert's face.

"What if that member of the royal family loves you, don't you think it's possible ?" Prince Albert suddenly asked a question that Laura did not expect.

Laura who was surprised to hear the words of Prince Albert reflexively turned towards Prince Albert.

"I.. I. I never thought I'd get there." Laura answered, not knowing what to answer.

Prince Albert smiled wryly at Laura's words. "It seems like it's impossible to think of you."

Laura was just speechless, there was no longer any desire to continue her breakfast. Very confused with the meaning of the words of Prince Albert.

From what he meant, there's no way Prince Albert loves me, right ? That's a very impossible thing, don't think too far Laura. Prince Albert's face looks grim, maybe my words have offended him.

Prince Albert himself is also seen not to continue his absorption, he put a spoon and fork on his dinner plate.

"I'm sorry if the words offended Your Majesty, but I didn't mean anything. Didn't His Majesty himself tell me to be honest ?" Laura hurriedly gave an explanation.

"It's okay Ara, I don't blame you. I'm glad you started to open up to me even though I'm honestly a little surprised by what you said."

Prince Albert stood up from his chair and Laura reflexively stood up.
