Chapter 46. Caught And Powerless

The car driven by Laura and Edward was surrounded by the car of Prince Albert and his bodyguards, making Edward could not do anything.

All the royal bodyguards descended from inside the car, standing around their cars. The head of the bodyguard got down from the car and opened the car door for Prince Albert.

With a flat facial expression, Prince Albert got down from inside the car. Leaning against the body of the car with his hands folded over his chest stared at Laura and Edward who were still sitting in the car.

With a gesture of moving his chin, the bodyguard ordered Edward and Laura out of the car.

One of the bodyguards moved to open the car door from the outside, pulling Edward out by force.

Edward struggled to get away but could not because some of the bodyguards came forward making him unable to move.

They made Edward forced to kneel on the asphalt facing Prince Albert, Laura who was looking from inside the car just fell silent in horror without consciously putting a palm over her mouth.

Prince Albert moved closer to Edward, standing tall before Edward staring with a cold expression.

"How much your guts Edward, how dare you take away my fiancee and bride-to-be." Said Prince Albert with a low tone of voice but enough to make anyone who heard will be goosebumps in his made.

"Miss Laura is not happy with this wedding plan so I helped her to get out of your wedding plans. His Majesty also only regards this marriage as an ordinary formality and is still in a relationship with another woman even in the presence of Miss Laura, so I don't think His Majesty should overdo it like this. Isn't this action beneficial to both parties, Your Majesty and Miss Laura ?"

"You don't have to teach me or help me with this, Edward. Laura's happiness isn't your concern because you're not who you are. It may be true that Laura is not happy but she still can not escape this marriage plan because her family is the bet."

"Give him a lesson." Prince Albert before Edward made a sound.

Two bodyguards came forward and began to deal a hard blow to Edward's face and stomach.

Edward could only groan withstanding the pain and could not retaliate because of his motionless self.

Laura who saw Edward's situation immediately got out of the car, ran towards Edward. He was immediately held by one bodyguard, making him unable to get close to Edward.

The bodyguard pulls Laura towards Prince Albert. Prince Albert immediately hugged Laura's waist, lured her to not move and remained standing next to him.

"Please let Edward go, he's just kasian and wants to help me." Laura pleaded with Prince Albert in a clear voice.

"No need to beg her, she dares to do this means also daring to accept her risk." Prince Albert said coldly.

"Please."

Prince Albert looked at Laura. "You're going home with me, there's no place for you but with me."

"It's so true that you said that's why I didn't throw away my engagement ring, so it'll make it easier for you to find me." Laura gave an excuse by occasionally looking at the bodyguard who was still giving Edward a punch.

"Please let her go. . . She could die Your Majesty." Panic and fear.

Prince Albert was silent for a moment before saying. "Stop."

The guards moved away, Laura reflexively breathed a sigh of relief. Edward immediately lay helplessly on the asphalt drenched in blood.

"If it wasn't for Laura pleading, I would have eliminated you." Prince Albert coldly stared at Edward coldly.

Laura who felt guilty and sad to see the state of Edward, her tears rolled down. Wanting to get closer was not possible because Prince Albert hugged himself tightly.

"I'm sorry Edward, you're like this because of me." Laura said on the sidelines of her cry.

"Don't cry for her." Prince Albert said in a dislike tone.

"But he's like this because of me." Reply Laura but keep wiping away the tears on her cheeks.

"Just wait for me Miss Laura, I will definitely take Miss Laura away from her." Edward's promise was to try to sit up but couldn't because of the pain he felt all over his body.

"There won't be a second chance for you Edward. Laura will never be able to stay away from me." Prince Albert said confidently

Laura was silent at Prince Albert's words, and she felt like she was imprisoned.

"We're back now." Prince Albert's orders, pull Laura with him towards the car.

"Wait for Your Majesty, what about Edward ?" Laura returned in panic, holding Prince Albert's steps back.

Prince Albert looked back at Edward. "Let him here, he doesn't work for me anymore."

Laura looked around, there was not a single house around. "But but Your Majesty, he'll die if he leaves himself here."

"If the end is like that, what can I do ?" Prince Albert said he walked back to the car.

"Your Majesty, we can simply bring her back to the city." Laura said she couldn't let Edward.

Prince Albert looked at Laura. "I never repeated my words before."

Laura was silent, following Prince Albert into the car. As soon as she sat down, Laura turned to see Edward lying alone on the asphalt through the car window, staring helplessly.

The car started moving away, Edward silently watched Laura who was away. Taking a deep breath looked at the night sky with a blank look. Regretting her helpless self carrying and protecting Laura

"Just wait for me Miss Laura, sooner or later I'll take you away." Edward's promise was to look up at the starry night sky.

In the car Laura just fell down while twirling the ring on her ring finger involuntarily. In his mind just keep thinking about the state of Edward who lived alone there.

Will he be safe and well there ? Lord help Edward, he's a good man lest he die in vain. In his heart he begged.

"I'm glad you can think clearly in action and still think of your family." Prince Albert makes a sound, breaking the silence in the car.

"You must know what will happen to your family if you make the fatal mistake of ruining the royal family's good name."

"I know it's Your Majesty." Laura's reply is still down.

"Good, keep it in your head for the consequences your family will receive if you make a mistake so you will always act more carefully in everything."

Prince Albert's words made Laura want to cry but in his hold.

The strong Laura, you must be strong to live the dark destiny of your life. Laura cheers herself up.
