The car stopped right in front of the entrance guarded by two men in black suits.
Edward got out of the car first then opened the car door for Laura to get down.
The building where the dinner was turned out to be the palace where the Crown Prince lived.
"Looks like a lot of guests have arrived." Edward's comments saw from the car that exited the gate when they came.
"It looks so." Laura said a little nervous because she came alone to the banquet of Nobles whose people were not known by her.
"You want me to go inside ?" Edward offered to be aware of Laura's nervousness.
"Is it no problem ?" Laura asked unsure.
"No one will rebuke him or notice him, I'll leave after you meet Prince Albert." Edward convinced Laura.
Laura agreed. "All right then." Laura said with relief.
They stepped side by side into the building. Edward protectively put down but without touching his palm on Laura's back.
Nervously yet confidently Laura accompanied Edward through the door and into the banquet hall.
The room was filled with many invited guests, once Laura entered the attention of people immediately turned to her.
"You nervous Miss Laura ?" edward asked in a quiet voice that only Laura could hear.
Laura smiled wryly. "Little." Laura answered honestly.
"What a look ?" laura asked back.
Edward smiled gently to calm down. "It doesn't look like people don't know you yet."
"I'm nervous because everyone's eyes are on us."
"To you more precisely." Edward's Correction.
"You have to be confident, you look very posing tonight." Praise Edward added.
"Thulkah ?" Laura asked unsure.
"Of course, why should I lie."
Laura shrugged both of her shoulders. "Who knew you said that just to calm me down."
"No Miss Laura, you're really pretty tonight." Edward said as he spread his gaze.
"The most beautiful woman in the room." Edward was serious.
Edward's words made Laura laugh softly, making her nervousness move away.
"Hi hi hi hi.., thank you for your praise Edward even though I think your words are very excessive but at least I've been more relaxed."
"Together Miss Laura, I'm glad your words made you more relaxed."
They had stepped all the way to the center of the room but had yet to see Prince Albert.
"I haven't seen Prince Albert's whereabouts." Laura said as she spread her gaze throughout the room.
"I haven't seen her yet."
Laura looked at Prince Eric who was engrossed in talking to some people not far from where they stood.
"I don't know if I should say hello to Prince Eric right now or wait for Prince Albert because I'm not sure Prince Eric knows me if I say hello alone."
"There's no way Prince Eric doesn't know you."
"Why can you be sure ?"
"News of your engagement to Prince Albert spread across the European continent and perhaps to the rest of the world even if your engagement is held in private, let alone Prince Albert with Prince Eric is very close." Edward obviously.
"really ? I didn't expect it to be like that." Laura said in amazement.
"I'd better get you a drink while waiting for Prince Albert to come. You want to drink what Miss ?" Edward asked to switch the conversation.
"Alright, you wait here. I'll go get a drink for you."
"Good."
Edward turned towards the food table which was located some distance away from where they were standing, while waiting for Edward to return Laura noticed the people who were inside the room.
Everyone who is here must be from the elite and the Nobles, Laura said in her heart while observing the people.
Of course like that Ara, it was impossible for a Crown Prince to make an event that only came from ordinary people. Curse Laura to yourself for her stupid thoughts.
"You're all alone Miss ?" A foreign voice distracted Laura.
Laura turned to the side, the direction of the voice coming. It looked like a grown man dressed in a neat suit like all the men present in this room.
"I'm sorry but I'm waiting for my friend to go get me a drink." Reject Laura politely.
"It doesn't matter if I accompany you until your friend comes ?" The man again asked, not giving up on Laura's subtle rejection.
"All right." Laura chose to give up, but Edward would soon return.
"May I know your name Miss ?" The man asked back.
"Voice." Laura replied briefly.
The man kept a friendly smile, not caring about Laura's cold demeanor.
"Include my name Alexander." The man introduced himself as he extended his hand, forcing Laura to welcome the stranger's helping hand.
"Is this your first time attending a banquet hosted by Prince Eric ? because just this time I saw Miss Laura, are you from this country ?" Alexander asked Laura a question.
"Yes, you're right. I just came here this time." Answer Laura.
"Where are you Miss Laura from ?" The man continued to ask, not giving up on Laura's indifferent attitude.
"I'm from Norway."
Alexander nodded in understanding. "Who are you coming with ?"
"He came with me, Alexander." Prince Albert's voice suddenly appeared from behind Laura.
Shocked Laura, reflexively turned back, Prince Albert standing right behind her.
"Prince Albert, I'm not aware of your presence." Alexander smiled calmly.
"Alexander, it's been a while since I've seen you no wonder you don't know anything about me." Prince Albert stepped closer, standing right beside Laura, hugging Laura's possessive waist.
Alexander's face was slightly surprised but he quickly covered it with a smile.
"It looks like you guys are so close, is she one of the women you're dating ?" alexander asked curiously.
Prince Albert smiled. "Sorry to disappoint you but this time your guess is wrong."
"You mean ?"
"Meet my fiance, Laura Clarissa George."
Alexander's face shriveled. "Wedding ?"
Prince Albert smiled broadly at Alexander's confusion.
"It's like you didn't see the news of my engagement being broadcast on television." Prince Albert said.
"Seeing from your reaction like an exact guess." Prince Albert still added with a satisfied smile on his face.
Although from the conversation they look very close but why do I feel there is an aura of tension from the two of them ? in her heart Laura observed the interaction of the two men.
"Yes, I've never heard of your engagement." Alexander acknowledged.
"You don't want to congratulate both of us ?"
"Congratulations Albert, you're so lucky to have a fiancee as pretty as Laura." Alexander congratulated him by force.
