Chapter 41. Charlotte's Spirit

"This morning you saw Edward ?" ask Laura to the waiter.

"As far as I know this morning after breakfast, Madam went to Mr. Edward."

"For what ?" charlotte excitedly cut off the servant talk.

"Mr Edward was instructed by the Madam to go to the palace, telling His Royal Highness Prince Albert that Miss Laura had not been able to come to study manners because she was not well."

Laura nodded in understanding. "Hmm it turns out so." Laura muttered as she glanced at Charlotte who had a sullen face upon hearing the servant's words.

"Is there anything you need Miss ?" ask waiter.

"Nothing, you can continue your work."

"None right." Say the waiter before leaving.

"So how ? you want to wait for Edward to come back from the palace ?" laura asked Charlotte while starting to enjoy her breakfast.

"He won't be long, will he ?" Charlotte asked back.

"Okay, I don't know either. If Prince Albert doesn't order him any other business he'll definitely be home soon.

"But didn't you say miss him ? so if you miss, waiting a little longer is not a big deal, right ?" Laura's temptation to her best friend.

"Yes too." Charlotte said with a sullen face.

"Let me wait for anyways I have no work at home." Added Charlotte.

"Good then."

"Why did Ara wait for Edward to come ?"

"How about reading a book in my room, there are still many books I haven't read the last time I bought it." Laura replied while chewing her breakfast.

"Lazy ah! It's just your favorite thing, reading a boring book and making me sleepy."

"So what do we do ?"

"Either, you better read that I sit idly while opening the phone to see the status of people on social media."

Laura shrugged her shoulders. "As far as you are."

Laura finished with her absorption, standing up from her chair followed by Charlotte. Their steps stopped when they heard the sound of footsteps entering the house.

"That's probably Edward, if the guest must have rang the bell and couldn't have just walked inside." Guess Laura.

And it turns out Laura's guess was right, not long after Edward appeared before them.

"For Miss Laura, Miss Charlotte." Greet Edward first as soon as he saw the two of them.

"For Edward." Charlotte is excited.

"For Edward too, why did you come back so quickly from the palace ? We thought you might be home a little long." Ask Laura curiously.

"I was just passing on a message from Mrs George and Prince Albert telling me to come back soon." Edward explained.

"After this you still have work to do ?" Ask Charlotte curious.

Edward stared alternately at Laura and Charlotte. "No, do you want out Miss Laura ? If you want out I'll control you but aren't you feeling unwell ?"

"Ara's a little better, she just wants to go out for a little while. There are some books he wants to buy, isn't that so Ara ?" Charlotte elbowed Laura's body, giving the code to approve her words.

"That's what Miss Laura is like ?" edward asked Laura unsure of Charlotte's words.

"Yes, I want to buy some books at the store I used to go to." Laura replied, she had to follow the wishes of her best friend.

"All right, I'll drop you off."

"I'm going up first, I'm going to change clothes." Laura said.

"I'm just here waiting for you with Edward." Charlotte said with a big smile.

Laura shook her head at the behavior of her best friend who was returned with a grinning smile by Charlotte before moving towards her room on the second floor.

Laura reappeared not long after, having changed clothes.

"Yes." Yeah." Laura replied briefly.

"I went to prepare the car first." Edward moved out leaving the two of them.

"What was everything you were talking about when I went up to my room to change clothes ?" asked Laura curiously. They moved towards the front door following Edward.

Charlotte grunted in annoyance. "Nothing, he's busy with his cell phone and heedless of where I am next to him."

Charlotte's words automatically made Laura giggle amusedly. "He he."

"But that's okay, Charlotte's not the name if you just give up." Charlotte is optimistic.

Laura patted her best friend's shoulder, encouraging. "That's Charlotte's new."

Edward was already standing next to the car waiting for them and immediately opened the back door of the car for them to enter.

"Thank you." Laura replied before getting into the car.

"Where are we at Miss Laura's address ?" edward asked as he sat in the driver's seat.

Laura immediately mentioned the address of the store and the name of her store.

"Okay, I know." Edward said, turning the car on.

The car moved out to the gate to the address Laura mentioned.

Once at his destination, Edward immediately parked the car in a parking lot not far from the entrance.

"You want to get in Charlotte ? or waiting in the car ?" ask Laura.

"I'm coming, there's no way I'm waiting here alone." Charlotte replied knowing that Edward would definitely go inside to accompany Laura.

"Tumben, usually if I bring you here you won't want to go in just waiting in the car." Laura said with a jaily smile, teasing her best friend.

Charlotte rolled both her eyes in response to her best friend's joke.

"Not funny." Charlotte's comments, along with moving down with Laura from the car.

The atmosphere in the bookstore is very calm even though many visitors come to buy the book they want.

"The atmosphere is calm yes although many other people like in the mall, the more people the more noisy." Charlotte's comments go right into the bookstore.

"It's different for Charlotte."

"I'm waiting for you to finish picking the book on the chair over there huh ?" Charlotte showed me a chair not far from where they were standing. There were also some people who were serious about their books.

"OK."

"Edward, you can wait for me there with Charlotte." Added Laura.

"Well Miss Laura."

Charlotte's smile expands to hear Laura's words, happy because her best friend is very understanding.

Laura approached the shelf full of books, casually looking at the look and picked out some books that caught her attention while occasionally glancing at Charlotte who was inviting Edward to tell her a story.

Seeing their interactions begin to intertwine makes Laura think for longer away, giving Charlotte a chance to more freely tell stories with Edward.

Laura decided to go deeper and look at the book that was there. Time was not felt by Laura until Edward's voice that appeared from behind shocked her.

"Is it still a long time Miss Laura ? now it almost shows at twelve o'clock."

"really ?! I'm sorry Edward, I didn't know that time was passing so fast." Laura said with a sorry face.

"Where's Charlotte ?" added Laura.

"He's still in his place, waiting for you. He told me to call you because he's so hungry."

"All right, so where are we having lunch ?"

"Miss Charlotte will pick the place where we have lunch."

"Good, Charlotte never got it wrong choosing a good restaurant."
