Chapter 25. Laura's Accident

Edward got up from his chair, making charlotte turn to look at him.

"Where do you want to go ?" ask Charlotte inquisitively.

"I think Miss Laura went too long into the bathroom. I'd better go after seeing her first, to be sure she's okay." Edward replied as he walked away not waiting for a response from Charlotte.

"Wait for me, I'm coming." Charlotte also stood up to Edward.

"You can't go in the ladies' room by yourself to check on Laura, can you ?" Charlotte added as she walked parallel to Edward towards the women's restroom.

"It could be if things had to." Answer Edward flatly.

Charlotte was stunned as her head shook in amazement at Edward's words.

"Let me go inside first, you just wait outside." Charlotte said as soon as they had been in front of the ladies' toilet door.

BRAKK!!!

The two of them turned their heads, startled by the sound of the toilet door suddenly opening violently and engaging the woman out in a hasty step leaving the female toilet.

"It's so rude of that woman to open the door." Charlotte's comments were not happy.

"Don't mind, you better just go inside. " Edward told me.

"Yes I know." Charlotte said before entering and how shocked she was once her gaze was fixed on the state of Laura sitting on the front floor of the wastapel in a miserable state.

Charlotte rushed over to Laura. "Why you Ara ? what has happened ?" Charlotte asked frantically mixed in worry, helping Laura to stand up.

Laura's state is very chaotic, her long hair tangled in a mess her dress torn on the back to show her smooth back.

"I'm fine Charlotte." Laura said softly, raising her face looking at Charlotte with a forced smile.

Charlotte further frowned as soon as she saw the reddish bruise on Laura's cheek like a slap mark.

"How is it okay, look you're so fucked up yet added with bruises on your face Ara. Tell me, what happened to you ?!" Charlotte began to get emotional seeing the state of her best friend.

"I was at Prince Albert's girlfriend's, she was mad at me for taking her lover." Laura finally told me.

"And did this to you ?!" ask Charlotte emotions.

Laura nodded weakly. "Yes, I explained it to her, but she didn't want to understand." Laura smiled wryly.

"Who did this to you that woman who just came out ?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Nonsense!!, if I had come sooner." Maki Charlotte is full of emotions.

"He rushed away as soon as he heard your voice from behind the door." Laura told then turned her head towards the mirror that felt on top of the wastapel.

"All I thought about now is how can I go home in this state ? I want to go home soon, I don't want to see anyone else in this state. " Laura added in a helpless tone.

"Tap your hair first, I went out to meet Edward who was waiting outside." Charlotte told Laura.

Laura follows Charlotte's advice, begins to tidy her hair while Charlotte goes out to see Edward.

"Why did you come out on your own ? where's Miss Laura ?" edward asked, astonished to see only Charlotte coming out.

"Ara is still inside, Ara's state is very chaotic." Answer Charlotte.

"What do you mean ? I don't understand." Edward was confused.

"You also saw the woman who came out as soon as we got to the door ?"

"Well, what happened to that woman ?"

"The woman was behaving badly with Laura, Laura's situation was very sad for the woman." Charlotte explained.

Edward frowned. "Why could it be, who exactly is that woman ?" Edward felt guilty, negligent in looking after Laura.

"Oh my God." Edward muttered rubbing his face violently, not expecting something like this to happen.

"Ara wants to go home soon, she doesn't want to be seen by others. Edward can you lend me your suit ?"

"Of course." Edward answered while opening the suit and handed it to Charlotte.

Charlotte receives. "Edward can you please pay our food bill ? this is my credit card." Charlotte said as she opened her bag intending to take her credit card.

"No, let me pay for it." Reject Edward firmly.

"Thank you then." Charlotte smile.

"You wait for me here, I'll come back after paying for the food and ask where the back door is. We're going out the back door if Miss Laura doesn't want to be seen by the crowd."

"Good but not for long." Charlotte reminded.

"Yes." Yeah."

Edward turned away while Charlotte went back into the ladies' room.

"How ?" laura asked as soon as Charlotte came back in.

"Use this to cover your torn dress." Charlotte gives Edward a suit yet to answer Laura's question.

Laura took the suit. "Whose suit is this ?" laura asked not to wear it.

"By Edward, I borrowed it for you and told him how you were doing."

"Then where is he now ?" asked Laura while wearing Edward's suit.

"By paying our food bills, we're all asking where the back door is, we're going out the back door."

"Good, remember I'll change the money." Laura said in relief, get out of this mess immediately.

"We wait for Edward here, he'll be back soon. "

As Charlotte said, not long waiting for a knock on the door after Edward's voice called out to them from the outside.

Edward's jaw hardened with anger as soon as he saw Laura coming out of the ladies' room.

"I show you the way, you follow me from behind." Edward said in a soft tone, controlling his emotions.

They walked in silence, Laura chose to walk while looking down so that her face did not look so unintentionally passed by others.

The car Laura drove into the restaurant was parked right in front of the back door.

Edward quickly opened the passenger door for Laura who got into the car.

"What about you ?" ask Laura to Charlotte

"You take it easy, I'll go straight home as soon as you go." Answer Charlotte casually.

"Alright, then I'll go home first." Pamit Laura then closed the car door.

"He uh." Charlotte's voice is short.

Edward turns the car to the front door of the driver and goes straight in.

The car was alive and moving away from the restaurant.

Laura took a deep breath after the car was on the highway leading to the house. Laura's feeling relieved after coming out of the incident of not wearing it.

Edward who was driving the car could only glance through the rearview mirror in front of him, he had a lot of questions that he wanted to convey to Laura but in his undo so see the state of Laura who needed time to calm down.

How surprised Mama was to see Laura's appearance once she entered the house.

"Why you, baby ? what's going on ?" mama asked with a surprised look on her face towards Laura who entered the house.
