Chapters 10. Personal Guard

Prince Albert regained his senses and let go of his grip. Being flat hid her guilt the moment she saw the reddish marks on Laura's white arm.

"Don't I just say not to roll your hair up ?" Prince Albert stared intently at Laura who was not following his orders.

Laura looked back at Prince Albert. "What does this have to do with the events ?"

"Your appearance is too attractive to men, my dear Ara." Prince Albert said with emphasis in his last sentence.

Laura turned away not liking to hear Prince Albert's words without commenting anything.

"You're coming home between my bodyguards."

"Isn't that too much, your majesty ?"

"I don't want to be denied by Laura." Prince Albert said firmly.

Laura had to be quiet even though in her heart grumbled with Prince Albert's attitude.

Prince Albert's bodyguards walked up to them.

"Antar Laura to George's noble residence." Prince Albert's orders.

"Okay, your honor." Said the bodyguard obediently.

The bodyguards opened the passenger car door for Laura, forcing her into the car. The bodyguard opened the driver's door and then entered and the car went on shortly afterwards.

Laura went downstairs intending to have breakfast. Entering the dining room but not finding other family members makes Laura wonder where her parents and brother are.

Laura held off the waiter who was about to return to the kitchen.

"Where are the others ?" ask Laura to the waiter.

"They're in Miss Laura's front room." Answer waiter.

Laura frowned at the waiter's answer. "Why are they there so early in the morning ? are we having guests ?" asked Laura astonished.

"Yes, there's a guest Miss."

"Man or woman ?"

"Man, Miss Laura."

"Yes, you can go." Laura said confusedly mixed in curiosity with the guest who came at an unusual hour but chose to just wait in the dining room.

The sound of footsteps came closer. "That must be them, meaning the guest is gone." Murmured Laura shoot.

Appeared at the door not long after that her parents, her brother and a man ?. Laura frowned seeing the presence of a foreign man inside their dining room.

Laura looked at Papa full of question marks with the presence of the man Laura had just seen for the first time.

They all sat in their seats and the man sat right in front of Laura.

"Before we start breakfast, Papa will introduce our guest Ara because only you haven't met her yet." Papa said to Laura.

"Include me, my name is Edward Adam and from today on will be your personal bodyguard." The heavy voice of the man.

Laura was confused by the meaning of the foreign man's words, staring at Papa asking for an explanation.

"What does Papa mean ? Ara doesn't understand." Laura was confused.

"He came on orders from Prince Albert to be a personal bodyguard from the day forward and maybe so on, Papa doesn't know." Papa explained.

Laura frowned hearing Papa's words. "Papa isn't this too much ? Ara doesn't need a personal bodyguard !" Ara protest raised his tone a little.

"Laura watch your tone." Reproof Mama.

"Sorry Mama, Ara just doesn't agree with this decision."

"But we can't resist Prince Albert's decision." Said Papa.

"Prince Albert thought of your safety and therefore ordered a personal bodyguard to look after you." Mama said, comforting Laura.

Laura put a face to Papa. "Papa, Ara doesn't want to be like this. It's like curbing Ara's freedom."

"Sorry baby, Papa can't do anything." Papa said regretfully.

"Let's talk about it again, we better have breakfast first." Mama interrupted the conversation.

"Mama said, Ara. We'll have breakfast first." Bella interrupts.

They had breakfast in silence, busy with their own thoughts.

After breakfast they started to stand up from their seats.

"Ara, Papa forgot to tell you that he's going to stay here too."

Protest or anger is free nothing will change, since the decision of the marriage there my life is already out of my control.

Laura left the room without comment could only frown inwardly.

Finished getting dressed neatly, Laura went down to the second floor. Under the stairs Laura paired Mama who was about to go up.

Mama saw Laura's appearance looked neat. "You want to get outside Ara ?" ask Mama.

"Yes Mama, I want to go to the library and be home before lunch."

"Do you want to drive or ride in your own car ?"

"I brought my own car."

"Be careful on the road then." Mom's Message.

"Yes Ma, Ara go first."

"Yes." Yeah."

Laura walked towards the car garage, her hand movement stopped opening the driver's car door when she heard the sound of shoes approaching.

"Let me drive Miss." Edward's word appeared at the garage door.

"I can take it myself." Tukas Laura's.

"I'm sorry it can't be Miss, you can't go out on your own from now on." Edward said firmly, stepping closer opened the passenger door for Laura to get into the car.

Irritably prying into nothing, getting into the car with a heavy heart.

Edward closes the door after Laura enters and opens the driver's door for her to enter. Turn on the car engine, take the car out of the garage to the gate.

"Where are we going Miss Laura ?" edward asked that the car was already on the highway.

"I want to go to the royal public library." Answer Laura.

"Good."

"Before I go there, I'd like to stop for a while at the cafe near the library."

"None right." Edward said obediently.

On the way to the destination, Laura just silently looked at the view from the closed car door glass.

In just a few days my life turned three hundred and sixty degrees. Even just going out alone now can't.

Laura let out a long sigh, drawing the attention of Edward who saw Laura's reflection from the front rearview mirror of the driver's seat.

"We've reached Miss Laura." Edward tells her, ridding Laura of her daydream.

Laura realized, looked out and saw that they were already in front of the cafe in question.

"You don't have to go down, I'll just be a minute." Laura held Edward down to open his seatbelt.

"I'm assigned to guard your security Miss."

"I'm not long, I just want to order a cup of coffee for me to take to the library."

"But Prince Albert's orders, I should always be by your side when you're out of the house."

Laura was getting upset by Edward's words. "Come on...., there can't be a dangerous situation there." Laura said while pointing to the cafe.

"I have to follow Prince Albert's orders and that is my main duty." Edward did not want to give up.

"Suell up." Laura said ketus, ending the debate that only made her tired.

Edward got off first and opened the car door for Laura to get off.

Laura orders a cup of capuccino coffee for her without being polite by offering Edward coffee.

After receiving the coffee, Laura followed Edward directly to the car.
