Chapter 21. Playground

Laura got into her car, sighing deeply with a grim face.

Edward saw Laura. "Are you okay Miss Laura ?" edward asked, so he wanted to close the car door.

"I'm fine Edward." Answer Laura.

Edward nodded in understanding then closed the car door again, walked around the car and opened the driver's door.

Edward sat in the driver's section staring at Laura from the front rearview mirror. "Where are we going Miss Laura ?" ask Edward.

"We just go home, today I have no other activities." Laura replied grimly without looking at Edward, Laura's gaze fixed out through the car window.

"Want to go somewhere fun ?" ask Edward.

Laura looked at Edward, interested. "Where ?"

Edward smiled wryly. "You just sit down, let me drive."

The moving car walked out towards the gate. Laura just sat quietly in her chair, letting Edward take the car to where he was headed.

Laura smiled in disbelief, staring out through the window as soon as the car stopped in front of a playground.

Edward smiled at Laura who had a face of disbelief. "It's just a place that comes to my mind, a place that's not that far away and can keep you a little entertained." Edward explained. "You want to get down and get in ?" he added.

"Of course, it's a great loss we got here and didn't go inside." Laura said excitedly, like a happy little boy getting a new toy.

"All right, let's get down." Edward said before opening the car door and getting off first then opening the passenger door for Laura to get off.

Together they stepped into the playground.

A wide smile expanded on Laura's face as soon as they had been inside the playground.

"When was the last time you were here, Miss ?" ask Edward.

Laura shook her head. "I don't really remember the last time I was here, but obviously it was a long time ago."

Edward nodded in understanding. "Then first you want to ride what rides ?"

"We ride it." Laura pointed at the roller coaster ride excitedly.

Edward frowned unconvinced. "You sure Miss ?"

"Of course, I want to scream content to let go of my troubles and frustrations even for a moment."

"Alright, we ride it." Edward had to agree.

They ride in the middle seat, Edward helps Laura install her safety device and then installs it for herself.

It was not long before the roller coaster moved and the cries of the person riding started to sound.

Laura shouted loosely following the speed and sharp turns during the roller coaster ride, continuing like that until they stopped.

"How do you feel ?" ask Edward as soon as they go down move out which is immediately replaced with someone else who has been waiting in line.

"Happy, content and a little relieved." Laura smiled and looked at Edward.

"What do you want to ride ?"

Laura held her stomach started to rumble. "We'll find a place to eat first, I'm starving after I scream."

"All right."

Not far from the roller coaster ride, they saw a small shop selling food.

"You want to go there ?" Edward asked.

"Can." Answer Laura.

The small shop was selling various fast food, the waiters immediately came as soon as they sat on the empty seats available. They ordered two servings of food and two glasses of soda.

"I thought a noble wouldn't eat food like this." Edward said after their meal had been delivered by the waiter.

"Mama actually forbid us to eat food like this but we're the only ones who don't hear." Laura spoke on the sidelines chewing her food.

Laura agreed. "Hu uh, I totally agree, good food like this is a loss if it's not eaten."

Edward smiled and ate his food.

"If you may know, when out of the palace your face looks grim. You got a problem ?" Edward dared to ask.

"There's no problem only that I'm not comfortable with the situation that's happening to me, I'm like I can't breathe." Complain Laura.

"I've noticed you're not happy with this match. Sorry if I guessed wrong."

"See clearly ?" laura smiled wryly.

"Yes." Yeah."

"The one who should have married into the royal family was my older sister but because of her poor health made the will be handed down to me. Of course I refused but it was useless because the stakes were the tranquility of my family.

"I'm not comfortable with all kinds of rules. I want to live free as I want, that's my wish after graduating from college and getting to work. Enough for me with all the rules in my family but this is even added to all the rules I have to learn and work on when I become a member of the royal family." Laura let out her grievance.

"Jadi hal itu yang menjadi beban anda selama ini ?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Honestly I thought you must be very happy to marry one of the royal family."

"Everyone must think the same of you, Charlotte thought the same. Everyone must think my life is very lucky to be able to marry Prince Albert." Laura said grimly. "If I could escape." Laura added, chuckling wryly.

Edward looked at Laura. "Tell me if you're not ready to endure, I'm willing to take you far."

"Don't joke about something like that." Reproof Laura.

"I'm serious Miss, tell me if you've been unable to hold on." Edward repeated his words with a serious face.

Laura was speechless and could only look at Edward with many questions in her head.

"You want to go home now ?" Edward asked, turning the conversation around to see Laura who was beginning to look awkward with the situation.

"Yes, we better go home now. We've been gone too long, I'm afraid Mama will be worried."

"Alright, you wait here first."

Edward stood walking to the cashier's table to pay for their food and returned shortly afterwards.

"We're back, Miss."

"Yes." Yeah."

On the way home, there was no conversation going on between the two. Laura was silent with all thoughts in her head while Edward occasionally glanced at Laura through the rearview mirror in front of her. Honestly, he was very curious about Laura's response to his words earlier.

Laura lazily moved down from her bed. Starting this morning her manners lessons began.

"Why should I go there ? shouldn't I just study here ?" Laura complained while walking towards the bathroom.

Finished bathing and dressed neatly, Laura went downstairs to breakfast to join the rest of the family.

"In the morning why is your face like that ?" bella asked Laura who had just sat in her chair.

"Today my manners lesson begins." Laura replied grimly.

"Then ? is there something wrong with that ?" Bella asked confusedly.

Laura took a long breath. "Of course." Laura answered excitedly. "When other girls who are my age are busy having fun or busy looking for a job they like, I am instead busy learning manners." Laura grumbled as she smeared her bread with peanut butter chocolate.

"Already, you two don't have to talk much about breakfast first." Mom interrupted the conversation between the two of them.

"Ara, even though you don't like it, you still have to do it because it's a direct order from the Queen, Prince Albert's mother." Papa reminded.

Laura breathed a heavy sigh. "Yes Papa, Ara knows."
