Chapter 42. Prince Albert's Decision
The three of them were enjoying their lunch, this time Edward was forced by Charlotte to sit down with the two of them.
"Where do you both want to go ?" ask Edward who spent his lunch first.
"We'll just go home to Edward." Laura answered first.
Edward nodded in understanding. "Well Miss Laura."
Suddenly many men in black from the entrance of the restaurant appeared, their attention was diverted.
"What is this ? who are they ? why are they so many ?" Charlotte was curious to stop eating.
"Why do I suddenly feel bad ?" Murmured Laura.
"They're Prince Albert's personal bodyguards." Edward recognized the face of the man who was a member of his team while not yet on duty escorting Laura.
"You mean Prince Albert came here ?" charlotte asked Edward.
Charlotte's question has not been answered by Edward, Prince Albert has appeared at the entrance of the restaurant stepping confidently into the restaurant.
Laura nervously involuntarily gulped at the sight of Prince Albert stepping closer to the table where they were eating.
The people who were having lunch at the restaurant were staring in wonder and curious at them, the presence of Prince Albert in the restaurant really attracted everyone's attention.
Edward reflexively stood up saluting Prince Albert who stepped closer.
"I'm sorry, I seem to be bothering you about your lunch." Prince Albert said as he arrived before them.
Conscious of being disrespectful, Laura and Charlotte stood up from her seat bent to their knees saluting Prince Albert.
"Your Majesty."
"Prince Albert."
Laura and Charlotte greeted together.
"No, Your Majesty, you didn't interrupt our lunch." Charlotte smiled.
Laura simply silently did not comment, staring curiously at Prince Albert.
How did he know the three of us had lunch at this restaurant ?
"Have you finished eating Ara's lunch ?" ask Prince Albert.
"It's His Majesty."
"Then we go back now." Prince Albert's orders.
Prince Albert looked at Edward. "Edward you deliver this Miss back and then back to the palace." Prince Albert orders Charlotte's deliveryman home.
"Your Majesty." Obedient Edward.
Prince Albert stepped towards the exit at Laura's tail which slightly lowered his face as people's attention to them made him uncomfortable.
Guards opened the car door for Prince Albert and Laura to enter after her moving car left the restaurant building.
In the car Prince Albert just silently stared ahead regardless of Laura's whereabouts beside him.
Laura also chose to be quiet while staring out through the window of the car.
The car entered the gate of the royal palace complex, the residence palace of Prince Albert was in the west direction. The car stopped at the entrance of Prince Albert's palace.
Prince Albert got out of the car straight into the palace and Laura came back from behind. Prince Albert headed straight for his study.
"Sit down Ara, there's something I want to ask you." Prince Albert finally made a sound, walking towards the sofa in the middle of the room.
"If you may know what His Majesty wants to ask me ?" Laura ventured to ask even though she had thought about what Prince Albert wanted to do.
"So early this morning Edward came to see me, telling me you couldn't come to the palace to study manners because you weren't feeling well." Prince Albert began to say.
"Remember His Majesty."
"Then why can you be outside from ten in the morning until noon and still take the time to have lunch outside ?"
Prince Albert's jaw stiffened indicating he was holding back his emotions. Laura tried to look relaxed even though she was actually starting to get scared.
"I haven't been feeling well since I slept this morning but it's been a bit light after sleeping a few hours. My best friend Charlotte came over to the house and invited me out and I just happened to want to buy some books too so I agreed to her wish to come out.
"Because I've been picking books for too long so we decided to have lunch outside." Laura explained.
"Is it like that ?" Prince Albert does not believe it.
"Yes, Your Majesty, I'm not lying."
"If indeed your feelings have been a little lightened why does your face look pale and look tired ?"
Hearing Prince Albert's words, Laura's reflexes held her face.
"You forced yourself out on the grounds of accompanying your best friend. Ara, I can't control and watch over you because we're far apart even though Edward is with you reporting on your activities.
"Even that engagement ring you're wearing can't help me."
"Why with this ring, Your Majesty ?" Out of curiosity Laura reflexes cut off Prince Albert's conversation.
"In your ring I gave you a tracking device so wherever you are I'll know where you are."
Laura put on an expression of disbelief as soon as she heard Prince Albert's words.
"Should it be like that ?"
"It has to be that way because you're away from me, danger can also threaten you by wearing it at least a little bit to give you security and make me a little calm."
"It seems like it's too much, Your Majesty, isn't there Edward who's always with me ? about the danger that you say like his it is also impossible to happen. What danger could threaten me ?"
"You are now one of the members of the royal family, being targeted by the target of crime can certainly happen. Don't look at that Ara." Prince Albert said with firmness.
Laura was silent to hear the words of Prince Albert, she never thought up to it.
"It seems easier to watch over you if you stay with me in this palace." Prince Albert suddenly said.
Laura reflexively surprisedly raised her face, putting on a face of disbelief. He was horrified to hear Prince Albert.
Laura shook her head. "It doesn't seem like a good idea Your Majesty, after all we're not married why should I stay here with you ?"
"Don't be afraid Ara, we won't sleep in this palace there are still many empty rooms. You can choose which room you want to stay in. We are already in contact and will definitely get married so it is natural that we are together. I'll tell Father and Mother about this, they'll agree to my decision."
"Your Majesty, I think this is too much." Laura's Protest.
"I've decided this."
Laura began to panic, imagining in her mind how her life would be.
"Why Your Majesty should restrain my life, the woman who is only fiancee but not essential in the eyes of the Starting One. We're not even married yet but why has His Majesty arranged my life ?" Laura said frantically raising her tone slightly.
Laura realized his words sounded harsh as soon as she saw Prince Albert's jaw harden, his facial expression stiffened.
"I assume I didn't hear your words. You go home and tell your parents about my decision, I'll have another bodyguard take you home because it looks like Edward hasn't come back from dropping off your best friend."
