Chapter 45. In Pursuit
It was dark and it was almost seven o'clock at night. Prince Albert glanced at the watch on his wrist.
"Isn't he supposed to be here now ?" Prince Albert asked the palace secretary.
"Indeed Miss Laura should have been at the palace before dinner. Wouldn't you rather call Miss Laura directly, ask her where she is ?"
Prince Albert fixed his sitting position, feeling uncomfortable with the words of the palace secretary.
"Ehem ahem." Prince Albert wet his throat.
"I don't have his cell phone number." Prince Albert replied stiffly.
The palace secretary tried to cover up her shock upon hearing Prince Albert's words.
"Then I'll call Mr. George, ask for his daughter's whereabouts." The palace secretary did not comment on Prince Albert's words.
"Yes, so much better."
The palace secretary took out a cell phone from her pocket. Pressing the phone screen and then putting the phone into his ear make a phone call.
"Hallo Mr. George."
The palace secretary fell silent hearing a voice from across.
"Yes it's me, the palace secretary."
The palace secretary fell silent hearing a voice from across.
"I want to ask Miss Laura, she should have been in the palace."
The palace secretary again fell silent hearing a voice from across.
"It turns out so, all right. I'll tell Prince Albert about this. We'll call Miss Laura's personal bodyguard." The palace secretary cut off the phone.
"How ? what do they say ?" Prince Albert asked.
"They said that Miss Laura had been taken by Edward to the palace since this evening."
"really ?" Prince Albert does not believe it.
"Yes." Yeah."
Prince Albert moves towards his desk at the following Secretary's palace, opens the leptop then blames it. Typing something then appeared on the laptop screen of the location where Laura was now.
"They're positions are now moving out of town." The palace secretary first commented on the display on the laptop screen.
"You put a tracking device on Miss Laura ?" The palace secretary only regained consciousness later.
"Yes." Yeah."
The palace secretary stared in amazement at Prince Albert. "Your actions are very accurate."
"I'm just keeping things like this going to happen." Prince Albert said in a cold tone restraining emotions.
"So what are you going to do ?"
"Call the head of the palace guards now, we must catch up with them immediately before they go too far."
"Your Majesty." Obedient palace secretary moves out of the room.
Appeared not long after that the head of the palace guard.
The head of the guard saluted. "That Began, you call me ?"
"Yes, we have to catch up with Edward who's gone with my fiancee." Prince Albert's jaw tightened.
"Okay, Your Majesty, I will immediately prepare an army. You want to come with us too ?"
"Yes of course, move immediately so that they haven't gone too far."
"Your Majesty."
The royal guard rushed out of the room, Prince Albert himself took his leptop first before exiting his room.
At the front door of the palace had prepared several cars and guards. They quickly opened the car door for Prince Albert to enter.
"Where are we headed, Your Majesty ?" Asked the head of the bodyguard to look back as soon as he sat in the front seat beside the driver.
"Well, I know the location. They're now heading out of town." Said the butler then wearing a liaison device in his ear telling his team the location they were going to.
The car that Prince Albert was riding moved first and then followed up several cars that were driven by the guards.
Walking neatly lined up on the highway, the royal logo contained in the car gave them the flexibility to drive on the highway without any obstacles.
During the chase, Prince Albert continued to monitor the position of the vehicle that Laura and Edward were riding in. Put out a cell phone call the palace secretary.
That's.. tuut....
The phone is connected to the second ring.
"Hallo." Prince Albert said when the phone was connected.
"Hallo Your Majesty. Is there anything I can do ?" The palace secretary immediately asked.
"How many vehicles did Laura and Edward ride ?"
"I didn't get to ask you that." A regretful tone in the voice of the palace Secretary.
"I'll ask Miss Laura's parents soon." The palace secretary said quickly.
"I'm waiting right now, all types of vehicles and their colors are easy to find once we're close to their location." Prince Albert's orders.
"Okay, Your Majesty, I'll send it to you immediately." Obedient Secretary of the palace.
Prince Albert instantly turned off the phone and returned focus to the laptop screen as well as occasionally staring forward.
A few minutes later, a message came in from Prince Albert's cell phone, a message from the palace secretary telling him the vehicle number and color and type of vehicle that Laura and Edward were riding in.
Prince Albert immediately told the head of the palace guard the information the palace secretary gave him.
"We're close to their location." Prince Albert told the Chief of Guards.
"Good." Answer the Chief's bodyguard and tell his team members.
They then watched with attention all the vehicles that were driving in front of them.
"Isn't that them ?" The head of the bodyguard pointed at a black vehicle a little far from before them.
Prince Albert squinted to clearly see the vehicle the Chief of Guards was referring to.
"Well, it's them." Prince Albert knows the vehicle, a car that Laura often uses if she wants to get out of the house.
"Pursue them." Prince Albert's orders.
"Good !."
On the part of Laura and Edward.
Edward looked at the rearview mirror in front of him and saw from the mirror reflection a car with a royal logo drove at high speed towards them making Edward reflexively raise the speed of the car he carried.
Laura felt something strange about the sudden speed of the car a little faster.
"Why Edward ?" Laura curiously asked.
"It's okay Miss Laura." Edward tried to calm down.
Laura's instincts were strange, she looked back and saw the car with the royal logo right behind them.
"They found us Edward." Laura said in panic, afraid of the circumstances that might happen once they get them.
"You sit quietly, Miss, leave everything to me." Edward said to calm Laura down.
Laura looked back, looking more closely at the back. It turns out that their car is more than one. Laura counted a total of four cars following them.
Laura gulped, panicking with the situation she was in, their cars catching up with each other on the silent highway.
Looking out the window as soon as one of the cars could finally catch up with them and drove in front of their car.
Edward tried to get through the car, but the car did not allow Edward to pass through.
The car sped slightly away and stopped suddenly in front of them, Edward reflexively stepped on the car's brakes to avoid a collision.
