Chapters 17. Watch Movies

"Have you seen the news on television or on the internet ?" Charlotte called Laura the morning after breakfast.

"No, I haven't held my phone since I woke up. Why is it ? is there something horrendous ?" Laura asked back.

"There's a stir in the whole country especially for single women in this country." As usual, Charlotte spoke dramatistically.

Laura smiled amusedly hearing that. "What the hell is ?"

"The royal court has published a photo and announced your engagement to the crown prince, Prince Albert."

"O..... The news ?" Laura's smile was lost hearing Charlotte's words. "I thought what was the news." Added grimly.

"Aren't you glad to hear that ?"

Laura rolled both her eyes, puffed up. "You are still ! since when have I been happy with this relationship ?"

"Don't get angry Ara." Persuade Charlotte to weld.

"You are the one ! it's still early in the morning making my mood ugly." Laura ketus said.

"Yes-yes I was wrong, I'm sorry."

"Yes, I'm sorry."

"So where are you going this morning ?" ask Charlotte.

"Not anywhere, why ?"

"We're out yuk ?"

"Where ?

"We go see a movie, how ?"

"Hmmm....." Laura muttered while thinking.

"Oh, it's been a while since we've been watching."

"All right." Laura relented.

"We met at the usual place we went to see."

"OK, tell each other who got there first."

"okay." Phone connection disconnected.

Laura moved into the room to get ready to leave.

The car stops in front of a movie theater, Edward gets out of the car and opens the door for Laura to get off.

Once inside the building, Laura immediately searched for Charlotte's whereabouts.

"Who do you want to find Miss ?" asked Edward who had been watching.

"Charlotte, we're making a deal here." Laura replied, casting her gaze in search of Charlotte's whereabouts.

"You better call her." Edward's Advice.

"Your words are right too, I didn't think about it." Laura took the phone from her bag.

Laura called Charlotte, the phone line was connected but until the last ring was not picked up by Charlotte.

"Why Miss ?"

"Not in the lift."

"Maybe he's on the way, try calling you back."

"All right."

Laura again contacted Charlotte, this time the phone was picked up on the second ring.

"Hallo Ara." Charlotte said from across the street sounding lethargic.

"Hallo Charlotte, where are you ? I've been looking for you here."

"Sorry Ara, I haven't had time to call you to let you know that I'm not leaving."

"Why ? You suddenly have some business ?"

"I'm not feeling well, I was busy in and out of the bathroom. My stomach is troubled, I'm sorry Ara." Charlotte was lethargic.

"Yes, it's okay. If it continues, you better go to the doctor." Laura's Advice.

"It seems like it has to be that way. I have to tell my mom first."

Laura put the phone back in her bag.

"Is there a problem Miss ?" ask Edward.

"Charlotte couldn't come because she wasn't healthy."

"So how ? we just go home ?"

Laura thought for a moment before answering. "Because we're here, we'd better watch. When was the last time you saw Edward ?" Laura asked.

"I haven't watched in a long time, since working as a bodyguard in the palace." Edward smiled wryly.

"How many years have you worked ?"

"A little over seven years."

"Wow ! old too. What movies do you like ?" Laura asked back. "Wait a minute let me guess, it must be an action movie, right ?" Laura added before Edward replied.

Edward nodded. "Miss Betul."

"Well, we're in, because you haven't seen a movie in a long time, so this time I'm giving up on you to pick a movie."

"But Miss Laura, I'm assigned to look after you." Reject Edward.

"Yes, this can be thought of as keeping me watching."

"But Miss -."

"No need but but, we're in now." Laura cut out Edward's words.

Laura steps in without waiting for a response from Edward, forcing Edward to follow Laura.

"You like what theme movie Miss ?" edward asked, they were choosing a movie that was in theaters.

"I love all movies except horror movies."

"How about this movie." Edward suggests, pointing to the romance theme film.

"We'll just pick a comedy movie, I'll laugh for a while without thinking about the problems in my life."

"All right." Edward agreed, curious about the meaning of Laura's words but did not dare to ask because he was aware of her position.

"You just wait there, I'll buy the ticket." Edward added, pointing at a chair not far from where they were standing.

"Well, please buy some popcorn and a drink."

"All right, Miss."

Edward stepped towards the entrance ticket while Laura waited while opening her phone. Laura recalled what Charlotte said this morning, saying about the news of her engagement that was spread on the internet.

Charlotte's words were right, the announcement of Prince Albert's engagement became the main topic this morning. It was written that the royal court announced Prince Albert's engagement to a woman from the noble family who was a future wife who was betrothed based on the will of the late King.

The photo below shows their engagement in Prince Albert's private library. Looking at the photo Laura smiled wryly reminiscing about the last incident of her meeting with Prince Albert.

"Isn't she the woman who looks like the woman in Prince Albert's engagement photo ?"

A whisper reached Laura's ear from the side where she was sitting.

Laura's attention was disturbed but she pretended not to hear the words of the woman sitting not far from her side.

"Yes, he is. It's no different from the picture." The other woman followed.

"Let's look at her ring finger, isn't she wearing the same ring as the one in the photo ?"

I forgot to take this ring off but I'd be mad at Mama if I took it off. They were so careful to watch her, I guess those women must be big fans of Prince Albert.

Laura cursed while pretending not to listen and not to care.

"This is your order Miss." Edward put popcorn and a glass of drink on the table.

"Thank you Edward, those women must have been more curious to see me with another man." Laura said as she stood up from her chair.

"Yes ?" Edward reflexes. "Sorry what Miss Laura means, I don't understand."

"It's nothing, I'm talking to myself. We go in now, we just wait inside waiting for the movie to turn."

"As far as you are Miss."

Laura stepped away from the women in the back of Edward without realizing she had been captured by one of the women.

While watching the film laura laughed a lot, Edward who unconsciously looked more often to Laura who laughed loosely than to the screen that was playing the film.
