Chapter 8: The Massacre

"You-you. That's right you. You're still alive, aren't you? Because of you, our group was expelled from the kingdom. Lying to the king. Not getting the promised reward. And now you're disturbing our peace again. Everybody, attack him! He is the cause of all our misery!" said the first elder at length.

"Groan!"

"Destroy him!"

"Disable cultivation!"

"Make him meet his family!"

The soldiers shouted encouraging sentences for themselves as well as provocative sentences aimed at Rai.

"So, you guys want to attack me first and destroy me by crippling my cultivation, again? Tsk, tsk, tsk. You are less experienced. It should be like this!" said Rai while trying to avoid the attack launched by the bandits.

After getting the gap, Rai immediately moved quickly while gathering natural energy in both of his palms. Then, he uttered a move that made the natural energy in both of his hands emit the purple lightning element.

"Thread of Lightning: Destroyer of Cultivation!" said Rai.

Rai put both hands on the bandits to make them lose their cultivation after the shadow of the inscription on their bodies was destroyed.

Rai did not stop. He continued to move while placing his hands on the rest of the bandits. They really did not dwell in front of Rai. With a very dangerous tread it made the bandit members frightened and could only stay in place while waiting for their turn.

"After destroying my cultivation, you guys want to kill me, right? So, I'll give you. But I'm not the one who died. Except you!" said Rai with a sinister tone.

Rai then took out an ordinary sword from one of the storage rings of the bandits he had snatched. After which, he flowed his natural energy until the sword was fed by lightning.

Seeing the slaughter carried out by Rai, the third elder was unable to control his emotions. The big man was seen clutching a giant mace with both hands.

The third elder immediately ran towards Rai. Then, he swung his mace with all his might. Feeling the attack, Rai decides to postpone the job of slamming him.

DUARR...

The giant mace blow belonging to the third elder smashed into the ground where Rai was standing before. The ground was instantly crushed and shattered into pieces.

Not only that, the bodies of the bandit members who were dead, were also affected. Their bodies instantly shattered. The blood of the corpses instantly made a puddle.

"From you! I'll destroy your little body! Hiyaa.." the third elder again swung his rock towards Rai.

DUARR... DUARR... DUARR...

Three explosions occurred. The giant mace belonging to the third elder always hit the ground where Rai was standing. Meanwhile, Rai himself still continued his maid while dodging the mace attack from the third elder.

After finishing slaughtering, Rai immediately shot towards the third elder. He swung his sword towards the third elder. Unwilling to remain silent, the third elder used his giant mace as a shield.

Rai's ordinary sword was destroyed after hitting the giant mace of the third elder, "Damn, the weapon is at the Intermediate stage Spirit Weapon level," Rai muttered.

"Haha... How, kid? Have you given up? Hahaha.." the third elder laughed out loud.

"Who said I gave up? I should have been the one to ask that. Have you given up?" Rai turned around the question of the third elder.

Rai took out the Sky Lightning Sword from his storage ring and again attacked the third elder.

While Rai and the third elder continued to fight, the first elder and the remaining two elders were still observing the fight that was taking place. But, there was something different from the look on the face of the first elder.

Contrary to the reverse with the second elder and the fourth elder who put on a calm face, the first elder actually looked like a fright after Rai took out his weapon.

Seeing the look on the face of the first elder the second elder decided to ask him, "First elder, what is it? Why do you look scared?"

"That's it, the weapon that the child is wearing is a God-level weapon," replied the first elder.

"What?! Just be right. I did not feel the aura of a God weapon. How could a snot brat like him have a God-level weapon? Please do not joke, first elder," said the second elder.

"I-I'm not kidding. The sword that the boy carried was the Sky Lightning Sword of Lightning Dragon, one of the Five Strongest Dragons!" reply to the first elder.

"N-can't be! You must be kidding, right, first elder?" ask the second elder in disbelief.

The first elder and the second elder ended their conversation and began to take out their respective weapons. After that, they followed the fourth elder to help the third elder.

At the scene of the fight, the third elder was currently in a kneeling position. One hand was cut off. Meanwhile, one of his legs was destroyed due to being hit by his own rock.

Rai walked over to the third elder. With a splash of blood filling his face and while dragging the Sky Lightning Sword, Rai looked like an assassin. Or rather, a slaughterer.

"What are you gonna do?" ask the third elder in fear.

Rai did not answer. He still continued walking while dragging the Sky Lightning Sword. After being in a close enough distance, Rai raised the Sky Lightning Sword up high and prepared to slash the neck of the third elder.

Meanwhile, two hundred meters behind the third elder, the fourth elder was trying to catch up with the third elder as quickly as possible in order to save him. But, he was really surprised when Rai had already raised his sword up high.

"No, wait! Don't do that!" the fourth elder shouted trying to stop Rai.

Zrat... Crashes... Dugs...

However, it's all too late. Because the head of the third elder had already fallen first before the fourth elder managed to save him.

The anger of the fourth elder peaked as the splash of blood from the third elder hit his face. His eyes, which were black like normal people, had now turned red. In fact, his previously normal killing aura turned into that of a demon aura.

"You killed the third elder! Now it's time for you to die!" said the fourth elder then lunged forward to attack Rai.

Rai only smiled then muttered a stance followed by a sword swinging motion, "Eightteen Lightning God Slashes!"

Rai swung his sword eighteen times. And from that slash, appeared a purple-coloured lightning light that numbered eighteen. The lightning light immediately charged towards the fourth elder until it pierced through his defense and cut his body into pieces.

Seeing the third elder and the fourth elder die horribly, made the first elder and the second elder furious. They directly attacked Rai blindly.

Rai simply smiled as he dodged every attack that led to him. He was really happy because his opponent was a naive and easily provoked person.

After being satisfied to play, Rai made a backward salto movement. After successfully landing, Rai immediately muttered a stance.

"Little Dragon Fierc! Level 2: Lightning Sky Dragon Slash!" said Rai.

The Sky Lightning Sword instantly shone brightly as it let out a celestial lightning. After which, Rai swung his sword towards the first elder and the second elder. The celestial lightning that was previously slashed by the Sky Lightning Sword, now turned into a dragon that continued to charge forward towards the two elders of the Red Centipede Bandit.

BOOOOMM...

The explosion occurred after the sky lightning dragon smashed into the bodies of the first elder and the second elder. The explosion also left the first elder and the second elder dead with the body no longer intact.

Rai then sheathed back the Sky Lightning Sword and inserted it into his storage ring. After that, Rai called Raiden to come out of the cave.

Raiden immediately hid into Rai's body as soon as he came out of the cave. The two of them flew through the fog that covered the forest so that they could escape the Bloody Mist Forest. Rai further increases his speed after knowing that he will come out of the forest, forever and ever.
