Chapter 11: The Preliminary Round

After he finished dealing with the Governor's son, Rai immediately invited the white-haired woman to enter the sect.

"Whose name?" ask Rai.

"My name is Rin" replied the woman named Rin.

"You should have known my name, right?" ask Rai.

"certain. And thank you for saving me from that damn Governor's son!" said Rin.

"Either. After all, I also do not like people who use their noble titles to do bad deeds" said Rai.

"Here you go, let's take the sequence number" said Rai.

They then walk to the registration post to retrieve the sequence number. After finishing taking the sequence number, they immediately headed for their respective waiting rooms.

"May we meet diarena!" said Rai.

"Sure, I'll wait for that time. But, you better cover your face or you'll get in trouble" Rin said.

"What?" Rai then touched his face and began to realize his mistake, "Oh... I forgot to wear a mask,"

Rai immediately took out a mask given by Raiden and immediately put it on, "Have you?"

"Yup, already. All right, see you again!" rin said then went to a women-only waiting room.

"All right, see you!" said Rai who was also immediately waiting for a special man.

"I know that you're hiding your true strength, Rai!" Rin gumam.

"It looks like we are going to meet the Ice Dragon and his descendants," Rai muttered.

"I got the sequence number 789. It looks like I'm going to fight in the fourth arena" Rai murmured.

"Hey, kid!" say someone.

"Hm? Oh, you! What's up?" rai asked after finding out the person who called him earlier was Adrian.

"Look, I'll beat you in there later!" adrian said.

"Okay, I'll wait! But, for now you go first, I want to rest!" said Rai.

Adrian then left with a face that held back anger. Meanwhile, Rai immediately closed his eyes to rest for a moment.

However, his rest was to be interrupted, when the voice of an old man woke him up. The old man was the third elder of the Lightning Dragon sect who would be the referee of this test.

"Welcome to everyone! I am the third elder of the Lightning Dragon sect, my name is Adraksh! I will be the referee in the test this time!" said a third elder named Adraksh.

"In this exam, there are some rules.

First, you cannot kill. Second, you must not handicap your opponent, without exception. Whether it was a physical disability or a mental disability," explained elder Adraksh.

"Three, must not use degrees to win the match. Fourth, you can use any weapon and any style, except poison. Fifth, the participant is declared victorious if the opponent surrenders, exits the arena and is unconscious!" continued elder Adraksh.

"The test arena is four! The total participants were 1600 people and were divided into 800 female participants and 800 male participants. During this preliminaries, one arena would be filled by a hundred people! And out of those hundred people, there will only be one winner who will advance to the next camp!" said elder Adraksh.

"Alright, then we start the test! Sequence number 1-100 women, please go to arena 1. Sequence number 101-200 women, please go to arena 2. Number 201-300 women, please go to arena 3. Number 301-400 women, please go to arena 4," closed elder Adraksh.

The female participants who got the sequence number, immediately entered the arena of the match, including Rin who was in the third arena.

Rai who previously wanted to relax, immediately focused his gaze on the third arena where Rin would compete. He wanted to observe, how the fighting abilities of the Ice Dragon descendants.

"Let's see, how is the ability of the Ice Dragon descendant.." he muttered.

Third diarena, third,

Rin stepped into the arena. He came in last and barely noticed. However, he still sharpened his eyesight.

Rin was trying to see the cultivation level of his opponents. After a few minutes of observing, Rin finally got the information he wanted.

"Almost all of them were at the Mortal General level of the Grand Master stage. There was only one person who had the same level as me, that Mortal General Legend stage. But, why should he? The third son of Governor Abelard. I'll fucking kick you!" Rin gumam.

As soon as he got the cue from the elder Adraksh, Rin immediately stepped forward to attack everything. Using a blue rapier sword, Rin is able to make his opponent bounce off the arena.

With the element of blue lightning, Rin is like the Goddess of Lightning who is ready to destroy anything. Slowly but surely, Rin takes his opponents out of the arena. And now, there were only thirty participants, including him.

Although it looks the most superior in the third arena, but there is someone else who has an attack whose strength almost matches Rin's.

He was Audi, the third son of Governor Abelard. Have a graceful attitude and a haughty nature. Even so, he was also quite strong and talented.

When he turned 10 years old, Audi was already at the Professional Immortal Warrior stage. And it continued to increase until the Legend-stage Mortal General stage at the age of 17.

Back to the game, though,

After fifteen minutes had passed, all the examinees in the third arena had been eliminated, except for Rin and Audi. Now the two of them are fighting weapons with a very fast tempo.

"Good! How about we bet? Whoever wins can get close to that guy!" said Audi.

"All right!" reply Rin.

After that short conversation, the two of them immediately jumped back and started to pull out their respective moves.

"The Lightning Puncture Destruction!"

"Red Lightning Scream!"

DUARR... BOOOOMM...

The explosion occurred after the two moves collided. A thick puff of smoke soared high covering the view of the entire person.

It took a few minutes for the smoke to disappear. Audi was lying outside the field. Meanwhile, Rin was still trying to stand on the arena.

However, when Elder Adraksh wanted to announce the result of the match, Audi immediately stood up and attacked Rin abruptly.

Rin who was not ready, had resignedly accepted his fate. But, when the Audi attack was about to hit Rin, Rin's body just disappeared and the attack launched by Audi only hit where Rin was standing.

Rin reappeared on the edge of the field with a position carried by a man like a royal princess.

"R-Ray?"

The man who saved Rin was none other than Rai, "Chairman Adraksh, quickly announce the result of the match!"

"B-well!"

"No! I still don't accept this! I have to get that guy! I don't accept it!" audi then attacked Rai.

Rai did not move from his place when Audi attacked. He easily resisted Audi's attack with a single palm of his hand.

"Elder!"

"All right! The winner of the third match is Rin!" said elder Adraksh announcing the results of the match.

"Now take care of it!" Rai then attached his index finger to Audi and slightly drained the lightning element to sting Audi until he fainted.

After that, Rai took Rin and Audi to the women's special care room and returned to the men's waiting room.

After waiting for almost three hours, Rai finally arrived to compete. Just like Rin, Rai walked into the arena casually so he entered last.

"Game begins!" said elder Adraksh.

All the participants in the same arena with Rai immediately went forward and fought each other. Meanwhile, Rai was still silent and observed the match casually.

After a few minutes of observing, Rai immediately moved quickly to get the examinees out. It didn't take long for Rai to finish the game and come out victorious.
