Chapter 14: The Semifinals

Rai's shadow reappears next to the original Rai. He then returned his katana sword and instantly disappeared from there.

"He's done competing. Rin should have come back too. Do I have to pick her up?" mummify Rai himself.

"Ughs... Damn, why do I keep thinking about it? Since when do I care about strangers like her?" muttered Rai while hitting his head.

Shortly after, Raiden suddenly appeared within Rai's soul room. He shows an intricate look on his face since returning from his mission to investigate Rin's powers.

"What's up, Raiden? Did you find anything out of Rin's power?" tanya Rai flat.

"Yes, I found something out of Rin!" replied Raiden who still maintained his complicated face.

"What did you find?" ask Rai again.

"In Rin, I felt a familiar aura. This aura included an evil aura and was only possessed by demons and his entire race. But, when I wanted to investigate further, there was an invisible barrier holding me back!" answer Raiden.

"Invisible restraint?" rai Gumam.

"really. This hold feels a little familiar. However, it was not the creation of Ice Dragon!" said Raiden.

"Interesting! All right, for now, that's just the information we just got. We still have to wait for my shadow to finish the task!" said Rai who immediately rushed off towards the inn.

Rai was preparing to set out for the Lightning Dragon sect, where the test was carried out. He will play in the semifinals with Adrian, the Governor's son who sucks.

However, in the middle of his preparation, someone's voice was heard by Rai. Immediately, Rai contacted the owner of the voice that was none other than his shadow through telepathy.

"What's wrong? Did you find anything?" ask Rai.

"I still haven't gotten much, because I just got to a few hours ago" replied Rai's shadow.

"Have you found the residence of the Kiyomizu clan?" ask Rai again.

"It has. It's a long way from there. I even had to use a lot of natural energy to get here" replied Rai's shadow.

"It was appropriate last night that I felt so tired" Rai murmured.

"Then, where's the location?" ask Rai.

"The Lightning Stone Village!" answer the shadow.

"All right, you can go!" rai then cut off telepathy.

After getting the information from his shadow, Rai directly walked out of the inn and rushed towards the Lightning Dragon sect.

Arriving there, Rai headed straight to the waiting room to wait for his turn to compete. However, when he got there, Rai was immediately greeted with ridicule from Adrian who happened to have been there from earlier.

"Finally you came too, loser!" adrian said.

Rai silent. He moved a little from his place. No movement, no sound. Only a sharp eye gaze came out from Rai.

"Haha... Are you scared, Rai? If you're afraid you can kneel before me right now and hand Rin over to me" said Adrian arrogantly.

"But, if you refuse, then I'll show you, how powerful is that of an Immortal-stage General Beginner!" continued.

Rai only smiled as Adrian blurted out the word, "You're done talking?"

"If you have, can you let me relax? If I don't relax, I won't be able to fight" Rai said, leaving Adrian.

Adrian was a little angry when he was again ignored by Rai, "Hey, you! I'll chop up your body later! Just look!"

"really. Then, I will burn your corpse, snatch Rin from you, and take your precious sword! Hahaha.." said Adrian.

"Then prove it! Because of me, I don't like people who can only bark like dogs!" said Rai flat.

"You..." Adrian was about to reply to Rai's words again, but the voice of elder Adraksh who opened the test today, made him undo his intentions.

"Huh, just look at it later!" adrian cursed while staring hate towards Rai.

"Welcome back, everyone! Come back with me! Surely you know who I am! So, without much further ado, let's start the match today!" said the elder Adraksh who was immediately greeted with a joyous shout of the audience.

"All right! Today is the semifinal! This round is divided into two matches that were scheduled yesterday! Surely you already know who will compete the first time! Let's call them Rai Tanaka and Adrian!" said elder Adraksh.

Rai and Adrian then walked towards the arena. Enthusiastically, Adrian immediately jumped into the arena. Meanwhile, Rai just walked leisurely approaching the arena.

However, again Rai did not enter the arena. Instead of taking out one lounge chair, a large umbrella to protect it from the sun and one cup of tea.

"Participant Rai, what are you doing?" ask the elder Adraksh.

"Shortly, elder! I want to drink tea first to clear my mind," said Rai then sip the tea that was in the cup.

"But you have to fight!" said elder Adraksh.

Rai flicked his finger and instantly someone similar to Rai suddenly appeared and jumped into the arena.

"Can this be?" ask Rai.

"Well... Sure did!" said elder Adraksh pasrah.

"Well, the first match of the semi-final between Rai Tanaka and Adrian, begins!" tetia Adraksh.

"Remember, don't beat him! Just hold it!" said Rai who was immediately replied with a nod by his shadow.

Meanwhile, Adrian, who felt that he was not considered, immediately attacked Rai's shadow with two yellow lightning element swords. He attacked Rai's shadow with all his might.

However, the attack was still ordinary for Rai's shadow. In fact, he had no trouble dodging any attacks launched by Adrian.

Feeling that his attack was successfully avoided, made Adrian angry and continued to attack Rai's shadow quickly and blindly.

On the other hand, Rai who had finished drinking tea, immediately jumped into the field. He was still standing watching the fight that was happening.

"Grahhh... Why do you keep avoiding? Are you afraid of me, huh?!" adrian asked angry.

"I'm not afraid. But, I'm afraid that if I attack you, you won't be able to hold on. Because..." Rai suddenly stopped and resisted Adrian's attack with one hand, "I only need one finger to defeat you!"

Rai then put his index finger on Adrian and began to flow the natural elements while saying a style, "Crippling Lightning Light!"

The natural elements in Rai's fingers immediately emit purple lightning elements after Rai finished saying his nurse. Simultaneously, Adrian shouted loudly as the purple lightning entered his body until he fainted.

"Participant Rai, is he okay?" ask the elder Adraksh.

"Yes, he's fine. I just paralyzed him for a while. In a few hours he will wake up, but be sure to give him the energy of nature continuously until at least an hour after he wakes up. Otherwise, he would have suffered from physical paralysis in a part of his body for several months!" answer Rai.

"Well, since Adrian's participants are unconscious, I announce that the winner of this first match will be Rai Tanaka!" said elder Adraksh.

After that, the second match started and was won by Rin easily. Because his opponent had a level and technique that was far below him.
