Chapter 50: The Capital of Centoria

After a journey of about half a day, Rai and Raiden finally arrived at Centoria, the capital of the Central Continent. Now they are making payments to enter the city.

"Raiden, is it true that the portal is here?" asked Rai who was currently wearing her flagship blue mask and robe.

"According to the trace of aura I felt, it was indeed in this city! It's in that kingdom!" said Raiden while pointing to the kingdom of Dryscill.

"Dryscill Kingdom? That right?" tanya Rai made sure.

"Yes, the kingdom of Dryscill! I heard there was a competition being held by the royal side! The rewards are very profitable!" Raiden.

"What reward is given to the winner of the contest?" ask Rai.

Raiden took the leaflet out of his pants pocket and unfolded it, "100,000 golden pearls and the chance of an expedition to another world!" answer Raiden while reading the writing on the leaflet.

"Another world expedition? You mean Dragonland?" tanya Rai who was greeted with a nod by Raiden.

"It doesn't seem like it's just that! Written here if the expedition has some world choices! Among them, Dragonland, Magical Ice World, Land of Monsters and Pseudo Galaxy World!" obviously Raiden.

"All right, we'll sign up tomorrow! For now, we will look for lodging and restaurants to rest tonight!" said Rai who was starting to feel hungry.

After a few minutes of walking around, Rai and Raiden finally found a luxurious inn and restaurant that had 10 floors.

Without thinking much, Rai invites Raiden to eat and stay there for one night.

"Welcome to Golden Inn & Restaurant! Can I help you?" ask a female servant who is about 16 years old.

"We wanted to book the 2 most luxurious rooms for one night and some food!" rai's message.

"Alright, the 2 most luxurious rooms on the 10th floor! It costs 200 gold pearls, including a food package that you can order on the 5th floor!" the waiter was friendly.

Rai then took out 200 golden pearls from his storage ring and gave them to the female servant as registration.

The maid, who had the name Jane, gave 2 room keys with the numbers 18 and 19 to Rai, after receiving payment from Rai.

After he finished paying, Rai then went up to the 5th floor with Raiden to order food.

Arriving at the 5th floor, Rai and Raiden immediately ordered some food. Such as Chicken and Tortellini Soup, Fettuccine Carbonara and Black Forest Cherry Torte.

After eating, the two people headed straight for their room on the 10th floor to rest.

A black-robed man, ran after one frightened-looking demon. In his hand there is a sword that is quite large in black with blue color in the ornaments of the blade.

"Damn! Why do I have to meet this Demon Hunter?" the devil grumbled, blaming his unlucky fate.

He then tried to look back to check the existence of the Demon Hunter. However, he could not find it. The Demon Hunter, disappeared.

The demon stopped his running and immediately put on a standby stance. His eyeballs moved to and fro to look for the existence of the Demon Hunter that was after him.

"Yepyah..."

A sudden attack targeted the demon from above. Luckily, the reflections shown by the demon were good enough, so he could withstand the Demon Hunter's attack with his artificial energy shield.

"Basic Demon Hunter shit!"

The demon threw the cloaked Demon Hunter to the point of almost falling off the roof.

'He's pretty clever. I need to be more vigilant, ' muttered the Demon Hunter.

"What the fuck? Who's fighting on the roof in the middle of the night like this?" rai's grouser who woke up from his sleep due to the noise from the roof above him.

Soon Rai took his sword and robe and put it on his body. Once perfectly installed, Rai simply disappears from his room and reappears on the roof.

How surprised he was to find himself in the middle of a path of attack between two living beings who were fighting.

The Demon Hunter and the fighting demon, were also surprised by Rai's sudden appearance. But what to say, they have launched an attack that is impossible to cancel.

Until finally...

DUARR...

Dust scattered, enveloping the two living creatures that were fighting. Their breath was puffing with sweat pouring out.

The Demon Hunter's robe was blurred, revealing the face of a white-haired man with light blue irises.

"What the fuck was that?" muttered the devil in shock.

"Who was that young man?" muttered the Demon Hunter.

"What are you guys doing? You guys interrupted my sleep and almost killed me?" asked Rai with an unhappy face.

Rai looked at the two living beings with a sharp gaze. Her black eye irises showed the rage she had from that fight.

Spring... Cclack...

Suddenly there was the sound of a sword that shocked the Demon Hunter and the demon.

Soon, the devil's body split in two with his eyes glaring, indicating that he was both shocked and unprepared to die.

The Demon Hunter was shocked. The demon, he wanted, died easily in the presence of a mysterious young man.

Taps... Taps...

The Demon Hunter sensed the mysterious young man begin to approach. His body trembled slightly when he heard the sound of his footsteps. However, soon he gained control of his body and prepared for an impromptu attack.

When a palm touched his shoulder, the Demon Hunter instantly performed a twisting slash. However, his attacks can be easily suppressed by the mysterious young man he does not know.

"W-how can you hold it?" asked the Demon Hunter in a trembling tone.

"That's it, you can't!" said Rai while releasing the sword blade that he was clutching.

"A Demon Hunter with Immortal Emperor level Professional cultivation! You are strong enough as well to be the size of a 23-year-old young cultivator!" praise Rai who actually made the Demon Hunter surprised.

"How did you know about that?" asked the Demon Hunter after storing his sword in the storage ring.

"No need to be surprised like that! Introduce, my name is Rai!" rai introduced himself.

"My name's Alvarez! But, aren't you suspicious of a stranger like me?" ask Alvarez.

"What am I suspicious of a Demon Hunter like you! You're employed by a kingdom, of course you have the trait that it's not easy to betray someone, right?" said Rai at length.

"Oh, yeah! Alright, I will bring this demon to the kingdom!" Alvarez stood up and kept the demon's body in a barrel.

"Alvarez, do you know anything about the competition being held by the kingdom?" asked Rai without looking.

"Of course I know! But, I can't tell you this time because I'm in a hurry! We'll meet here in the morning!" alvarez replied before going to the kingdom.

"This person, it seems to have dragon blood. I'd better ask Raiden later," Rai murmured before returning to his room.
