Chapter 7: The Red Centipede Bandit

While Rai was doing battle training, dozens of people with Immortal General level Master stage and Mortal King Professional stage landed in front of the cave where Raiden lived.

"What'sthis? You said the boy's aura ended here. But, there's only a cliff wall!" said one who was at the Professional Mortal King level.

"Rightly elder. We tracked down the boy's aura and it ended here" said the man who was yelled at.

"You.." said the man called the elder.

"Calm down, third elder. Maybe what that guy said was true. Because I sensed the aura of an ancient formation vaguely," said the white-bearded person.

"The first two are right. He's a formation expert. Must know the problem here," said another person who has one blind eye.

"alright. I will shut up and follow what the first elder wants to do. But, if the information that the person reported was wrong, then don't expect anyone to stop me from killing him," said the third elder while leaking his killing aura.

"Stop that, third elder. Don't act like a kid" said another person wearing a black mask.

"I wouldn't talk like this if he didn't give me a false report!" said the third elder.

"Third elder, enough!" said the first elder while emitting a killing aura that was stronger than the aura of the third elder.

The third elder instantly retracted his killing aura the instant he saw the sharp gaze of the first elder. After the atmosphere had calmed down enough, the first elder retracted his aura and returned to face the cliff wall.

After that, they exited the cave while carrying the bodies of their five colleagues to be buried properly.

News of the death of the five Red Centipede Bandit members had spread throughout the members. They were of course surprised and continued to talk about this in the future.

After a few days of investigation, the elders from the Red Centipede Bandit held a meeting. The meeting was also attended by their mysterious leader.

The leader of the Red Centipede Bandit is indeed known to be mysterious, because he always wears a black mask. Coupled with the fact that he often hid to cultivate.

"Sit down!" said the figure who was none other than the leader of the Red Centipede Bandit.

"Leader, the death of our five members is very awkward. They died with their heads cut off. We have done an investigation, but the results are nil," said the second elder.

"Yes, leader. Especially now that we lack resources to share with all members," said the fourth elder.

"That's it, huh? For the matter of resources, you can hunt the Hellish Poison Serpent. I heard he's pretty strong. In addition, around the cave where he lives there are several types of herbs that are good for cultivation," said the leader of the Red Centipede Bandit.

The second elder exited the cave and headed somewhere. Knowing the movements of the second elder, the first elder immediately caught up with him and told the remaining members to keep watch.

"Second elder, is there anything that bothers you?" ask the first elder when he was next to the second elder.

"Right, someone is bothering me first elder," replied the second elder.

"I kept thinking about those five members. And think of the leader's words," continued the second elder.

They kept walking until they got to a place. The place was filled with withered plants. Instantly they gasped in shock upon seeing those withered plants.

"What happened to this place? Wasn't it filled with herbs?" said the first elder.

"Calm down, first elder. This may have something to do with the death of the Hell Poison Serpent," said the second elder pacifying the first elder.

"Looks like you were right. Let's go back!" bring the first elder.

The two of them finally decided to go back to the cave. After that, they ordered all the members to conduct an investigation about all those events.

For one week they investigated to find traces of the same aura in each location that they thought was suspicious.

"It's me. The man who killed your men and the man you killed his family!" said the person who slowly walked out through the cliff wall.

"Yes, it's me! Tanaka Rai!" said that person who is none other than Rai.
