Chapter 26: The Dark Tiger

After a few minutes, Rai's consciousness finally returned. He then stood up and began to stretch to relax his muscles that had been stiff due to sitting cross-legged for too long.

"Hows it? Have you met him?" raiden asked as soon as he saw Rai stretching.

"Well, like you said! He was the only remaining elf race, albeit in spirit form!" answer Rai.

"Oh, yes! Raiden, you used to say that in this forest there's a lair of Dark Tigers, right?" ask Rai.

"Oh, that! Move a kilometer west! There's a lair of Hell Beast that you mean! But, now his cultivation level was not at the Purple stage Immortal anymore! Rather it was already at the Blue level General!" answer Raiden.

"Hm... All righty! Golden dragon, are you going to follow us?" rai asked the golden dragon.

"Sure, I'll follow you! But, my reason for following you is that Mr. Raiden is by your side!" answer the golden dragon.

"Alright, do as you please! Eh? I just realized, where's Aaron?" asked Rai while circulating his gaze.

"He's gone first! And he invited you to the Governor Abelard's residence when you came out!" answer Raiden.

"Well... Invited to the governor's residence? I don't know why, I'm a little uncomfortable with that invitation!" rai Gumam.

"Well... Go, Raiden! We're leaving! Bring your subordinates too!" take Rai and then disappear from that place.

Rai, Raiden and the golden dragon, finally arrived at a very large cave. So large, the cave was enough to enter fifty people simultaneously.

"What are you going to do, Rai?" ask Raiden who has entered the Soul Room.

"First, we'll be lurking! We need to know first how powerful the opponent is!" answer Rai.

"Oh, yes! Raiden, please tell me about this Dark Tiger! It seemed, I sensed that there was something different from within his body, other than the aura of the element of darkness!" pinta Rai's.

"All right! Listen carefully! Formerly..."

A few centuries ago,

A Heaven Beast tiger with a black lightning element, was popular among the people. The popularity of this tiger originated from its greatness in helping one of the empires achieve victory in the war.

That empire, named the Sky Lightning Empire. One of the most powerful empires of that era. With the power of his emperor who had been at the Legend stage God level and coupled with the strength of his army that was above the Mortal King level, making Sky Lightning Empire the most respected empire.

For dozens of centuries, no other empire dared to antagonize the Sky Lightning Empire because of its power. However, that changed when one of the other empires, suddenly attacked the Sky Lightning Empire.

The Empire called Dark Empire was carrying tens of thousands of warriors with dark elements. They intend to take the Sky Lightning Empire's precious artifact to rule the world.

Ambition was great and too common among emperors, kings and officials.

The Emperor of the Sky Lightning Empire did not want to stay silent. He did not want his entire people to suffer from the ruthless leadership of the Dark Empire. However, he also did not want his precious artifacts to be snatched.

Finally, the emperor of the Sky Lightning Empire ordered all his best warriors to fight against the Dark Empire. Meanwhile, he went to a secret underground room that only he could enter.

The Emperor of the Sky Lightning Empire then summoned his dearest pet which included a tiger-type Heaven Beast.

"Storms!" shouted emperor. Suddenly a giant black tiger appeared with a purple line on its body.

The emperor took a few steps forward and began to gently caress the tiger's feathers named Storm. However, the caress was not as usual an affectionate one. Rather, the caress was like it had a hidden intent.

"Storms! I hope you can live happily in the future!" the emperor said in a sad tone.

Instantly, Strom was angry. He growled furiously and immediately darted away, leaving the emperor sitting with a blank look.

Long story short, the battle against the Dark Empire was won by the Sky Lightning Empire thanks to Storm who appeared like a hero of misfortune.

But the war is still the beginning. There are still dozens of wars that followed Storm and managed to win.

It was until his final battle that left the entire Sky Lightning Empire flat on the ground and caused the emperor to die. That made Storm angry.

Then, with anger and resentment becoming one, Storm destroyed the entire empire that existed in that world until it was not left.

Once there was no more empire left, Storm transformed. Not as transformed as most beasts. Storm actually transformed into a demon with peerless power.

Luckily the transformation was successfully stopped by someone and made Storm become what it is now. Then, that mysterious person, 'throwing' Storm into this human world. With the power that had been sealed according to the laws of nature, Storm was transformed into a Hell Beast with a low level of strength.

The mysterious person who sealed the Storm's power, also managed to rebuild the civilization that had been destroyed.

"... That's how!" close Raiden.

"Hm... According to your story that lasted for approximately fifteen minutes, I concluded! That Dark Tiger that used to be called Storm, was a Heaven Beast whose soul was already contaminated, was it?" Rai.

Raiden nodded, "Yes, right!"

"Meaning, if I can purify his soul again, he can become a Heaven Beast again!" rai said excitedly.

"Yes! What you said is true! But, purifying the soul of a living being is not as easy as you might imagine! Even if you have a holy element, you still lack one thing!" Raiden.

"That's it, the Pure Heart artifact!" close Raiden.

"Pure Heart Artifacts?" rai Gumam.

"Yes, the Pure Heart artifact! This artifact was once named the Dirty Heart artifact and was owned by a race of vampires who carried out soul-changing activities!" obviously Raiden.

"The soul-altering activities performed by the vampire race are aimed at turning the human soul into evil and can join their soldiers who can be sacrificed for the first time in war!" continued Raiden.

"This soul-changing activity requires a Dirty Heart as its intermediary! Even so, this soul-altering activity was still under the demon race performing the evil soul ritual!" close Raiden.

"Let me guess! That Dirty Heart Artifact was then seized by the human race and purified by someone who possessed the light element, am I right?" ask Rai.

"Yes, that's right!" answer Raiden.

"He's... Moves.." muttered Rai slowly followed by his black eyes that stared intently at the cave where the Dark Tiger was hiding.

Sringg...

Rai took out his katana sword which was neatly stored on his back.

Seeing Rai's actions, Raiden was slightly surprised, "What are you going to do, Rai?" asked Raiden in a probing tone.

"What am I gonna do?" rai asked, "Of course fight with him!"

"Fight with him? Are you sure?" ask Raiden dismissively.

"Don't underestimate me! I can clearly see the tigers made of the element of darkness are protecting him!" answer Rai.

"So, what are you going to do after you beat him?" ask Raiden again.

"Purify his soul!" rai replied with a grin on his face.
