"Let's escape now! This place is no longer safe for you because it has become their headquarters. Whenever they can find you here!" I said in a hasty tone.
"But ... Omar hasn't come back yet!" ameena said in a panicked tone.
"Where is he?" tanyaku.
"After dawn prayers he saw Big Brother was not here, so he went to look for Big Brother as well as went down to the mountain to take the help of the pot. But he hasn't come back yet." One of the kids explained it to me.
"I ... was about to go down looking for him, but I saw a group of armed men in this place. I came straight back here and asked the children to get ready to leave" Ameena said guiltily.
I closed my eyes while breathing for a moment. "I don't think Omar can come back here because this mountain has been surrounded by extremist groups. Let's go now! Bring anything you can bring!" my orders.
"But how could we leave Omar?" ask Ameena worried.
"Don't worry! The boy is not stupid. He's able to hold on. I'm sure Omar will be fine!"
"Wait a little bit more, maybe Omar will come back!" pinta Ameena while looking into the street entered this place.
"Mina-chan, do you know how I got to this place?" ask me slowly, "very beyond reason and maybe someone else can't do it. I'm sure Omar will also think twice about coming here, let alone having bitter experiences with extremist groups. Let's think about how to get out of this place! That way, there might be a way to find Omar!"
Ameena nodded slowly. He then went into the cottage to pick up some of the groceries and clothes we were going to bring. Not wanting to waste time, I came in and helped her pack things. I also asked the children to fill their stomachs with fullness so as not to be weak.
"Do you know how to get out of this place other than through the usual route?" I asked Ameena.
"We can only go through the desert. There are many caves that can be used to hide. The desert wasn't as vast as the desert that got us lost back then, but it was probably more dangerous because there were often sandstorms there."
"Descended?" I thought for a moment. If it was just me and Ameena, it might have crossed the desert but the problem is now that we're with the kids.
"Let's go! We have to cross the river first."
I carried the smallest child, about three years old. Just about to get out of the hut, suddenly a screaming sound came from outside.
"There's a cottage here!" that voice we didn't recognize.
Me and Ameena tried to peek out of the window. Our eyes grew twofold when we saw one gunman walking to our place, followed by three others who had just got out of the car. Of the uniforms worn, it is not wrong if they are part of an extremist group.
"Ah, right! We might be able to keep the other weapons here!" Someone who got out of the car spoke while looking at the hut we were living in.
"They've come here! Let's run from here!" take me while rushing out of this place. However, my steps were stifled when Ameena pulled the edge of my shirt. I turned around and looked at him.
Ameena opened the closet next to me. "Khai, hide here! We can't escape anymore! They carry weapons. It's easy for them to shoot us."
"Then what about you guys? Are you guys giving yourself up?!"
"If we are caught, the worst we will face is simply being taken to their place to be part of their supporters. But, if you get caught, they'll torture you and even kill you!" The anxious strokes were clearly visible on Ameena's face.
The footsteps that seemed to be approaching, forced Ameena to immediately push me into the closet.
"Khai, stay there! Whatever happens, please don't go out or make any noise! I'll divert them. If possible, run and save yourself!" ameena said after closing the closet.
What the fuck? I came back here to save her! Why is he even trying to save me!
"What's? There was a young woman and children who lived here apparently!" The heavy voice of a man was heard followed by the stomping of the legs.
From the crack of the closet door, I could see four extremists coming in with guns. Ameena was stunned and the children hugged her in fear. The shadow of one man was so clear that he was standing in front of a closet.
"Why are you guys here? Do you live here" asked one of them with eyes shining everywhere. He even looked at the closet.
"We are only locals who were displaced during the war in the village" Ameena replied tremblingly.
The man looked at Ameena from top to bottom intently. "Bring those kids!" his orders.
The three men then forcibly took the children who were on Ameena's side.
"Don't! You can't take them! Please let us get out of here!" Ameena tried to arrest the five girls who were with her.
"Don't worry! We can't hurt women and children! We want to help by taking them to a safe and decent place because there will be a major war in the region" the man explained.
"If you want to bring them, then I must come along!" pinta Ameena kneels and cupped her hands together.
Someone then smiled cynically while saying, "We will also take you to the female dormitory. But not now! We have to wait for our chief first!"
I squinted my eyes. Why would they have to wait for their chairman first if they wanted to bring Ameena?
Meanwhile, Ameena still appears to be trying to keep the children. Unfortunately, one by one the children were forcibly taken to get into the car. The sounds of screaming and crying children mixed into one. My hand was preparing to open the closet, but at the same time someone appeared to point a gun at Ameena to hold her.
Mina-chan, do I need to get out of here? Or stay as quiet as you say? Please look at me if you need my help. Don't make me useless like this!
"Don't we say, those kids will be taken to a safer place!" yelled the man.
At this point, I don't know what to do. I want to go out and stop those who want to bring children. However, I can't be rash like that. Fearfully, my actions might kill them all. On the other hand, there was a bit of relief because Ameena had not brought them.
Two men took the children away. The other two dragged Ameena rough to get back into this cottage. Ameena sat snuggling while sobbing. I'm sure he's very sad to part with those kids.
One man holding a gun was leaning in the closet where I was hiding, while the other was standing guard at the door carrying a long gun.
"We're going to present this girl to the chairman. Looks like our chairman will really like it if he sees it later," said the man who was at the door.
"Yes, it was definitely for a woman as beautiful as her. The chairman would have married her and would have divorced her if she got bored as she had been. If that happens, then after that this girl will be mine, huh?" added the man leaning in the closet while chuckling.
I'm jerked. How can they make women like goods that can change ownership.
The man in front of the door walked over to the man leaning in the closet. He whispered to his friend who was then heard by me.
"Why don't we go first?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, don't we all get a second-hand woman from our chairman too often? Let this time the chief enjoy our ex!" whispered the man with a grin full of cunning.
Hearing that, I could not help but growl. Both of my hands clenched tightly until veins appeared on the surface of my skin. When they were about to approach Ameena, I then kicked the closet door which spontaneously helped make them thrown. With a quick movement, I captured one of them and made him a prisoner. I dragged her while turning my position towards Ameena so that she was behind me.
"Who are you? How dare he infiltrate in here!" The other man immediately got up with a shotgun ready to shoot me.
The corner of my lips shot up, creating a cold smile. "We see whose bullet is more on target" I said, holding the gun of the man I was holding, then placed the gun's mouth right at the temple.
