The Happy Ending Love Story

The Happy Ending Love Story
The Empress Crown #21

"Felix the boy, dead. Dead in Alex's hands."

For the first time Alex's name came out of Sofia's mouth.

Sofia is still crying. Remembering Felix's death in his dreams.

"How can a father kill his own flesh and blood. Felix, that kid, I don't want him to have the same fate."

Although his voice was hoarse, Jordan could hear it well. Sadness and suffering, it seems that not enough for Sofia, she is also wracked with frightening dreams. How hard Sofia's life is. Jordan could only sigh violently. His annoyance at Alex is so high. After all, that person is the reason for Sofia's suffering.

"Jordan help me."

A request.

Jordan takes off her embrace and distances Sofia's body.

"What did you say?"

"Jordan is my friend, please help me."

"Help?"

"Yes. I don't want to go back to the palace. I don't want all that to happen. Jordan please help me."

Sofia doesn't cry. With a pleading voice and melted tears, who did not grieve his heart. It was a request from his deepest heart. Jordan bites her lower lip then pulls Sofia's body back into her arms again.

Without being asked, he would be happy to do so. From the beginning, that was the goal.

"I'll help Sofia."

"Really?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Jordan has promised, Jordan must keep it."

"Sure Sofia."

"I will grant all Jordan's wishes. Anything but money. Even I can pay with my body and energy. I can do any job, even the waiter's job."

"Calm Sofia. Don't think shit. Just focus on your recovery."

Jordan again tightened his embrace. He did not respond to Sofia's offer. Of course not. Where could she have made Sofia a servant. Even though he wanted Sofia to be by his side, he would not place her in such a low place.

The dawn began to dawn as Sofia calmed down again. His sobs turned into a smooth snoring. After laying down the frail body and enveloping it, Jordan pulled a rope and several servants outside the door immediately entered.

"Call the doctor to check on Sofia's condition and call the butler to my office. Please take care of Sofia as long as I finish some business. Give her whatever she wants except to leave the mansion. Report everything Sofia did in writing." Tell Jordan in a soft but firm voice.

"Your Majesty."

Three servants bowed respectfully until Jordan's departure.

The sun was right at the top of the head as the emperor's envoy came carrying a warning letter. Much calmer than imagined. Jordan thinks Alex will come alone with a squad. Forcing entry then throwing a confrontation.

Troops originally stationed at the mansion on charges of framing Duke Hexalios were also recalled this morning.

Jordan's brows furrowed open the scroll of letters tied together with the red silk rope bearing the emblem of the Elderbar Empire. A faint smile immediately fell on Jordan's lips.

The only person who knows Alex's true nature is him. In keeping with his predictions, Alex was a blunt person. Easy to carry emotions but not wise. He always handled things his own way, which Jordan deemed inappropriate.

Examples now. The warning letter contained an inducement rather than an accusation. It says that he will stop the rumors, withdraw the troops, and a number of rewards if he is willing to give up Sofia. Really funny. Jordan held back a laugh as hard as he could.

He was the glorified emperor of the Elderbar people, he could do anything. Forcing, intimidating, even depriving. Everything in Elderbar is his.

Instead of that, Alex is trying to solve this problem silly. Jordan is certainly not affected. Alex's offer was like giving candy to a crying child.

He is ready for confrontation. Solve this problem with adults. His way. For the honor of the Hexalios family who had been trampled by Alex himself.

"Tell His Imperial Majesty if Duke Hexalios will not reply to this warning letter in writing. Also tell me that Duke Hexalios doesn't care what the emperor does."

The messenger flinched. Not only him, everything in the room was also jolted. Jordan's remarks were clear enough to be said to be 'ignoring the emperor's orders'.

"In exchange Duke Hexalios will come to the Elderbar noble meeting tomorrow." Add Jordan while throwing a roll of mail on the floor.

The envoy nodded then immediately left the mansion. His body trembled when faced with Jordan. He wasn't even sure he could return safely. Thankfully, none of that happened.

After the envoy's death Jordan invited the discussion of the butler, Sir White, and Alfons. They exchanged ideas. About strategy, failure, to anticipation.

Tomorrow's meeting will be Jordan to take the gap and hit the opponent with a one-shot. Their opponents are not kidding. He was an emperor, who certainly had great power. Jordan believes in the power he has, so tomorrow is the day he will steal that power from Alex.

"Alfons proceed as usual, gathering as much information as possible. The butler will be the fortress in the mansion, guarding Sofia and all, while Sir White will come with me to the palace. The rest I'll take care of."

The discussion ended when the sun completely sunk. The lights in the mansion began to be lit by the maids. Night's coming, and tonight's gonna be a long night.

Jordan glanced at the torn white papers on his desk. It was a brief report on Sofia's condition. He got up from his chair to his bedroom. Breathe her clothes then submerge her body into the warm water in the tub.

He needs to relax his mind. Trying to set his heart on what he will do.

After bathing and changing into comfortable clothes Jordan headed for Sofia's room. He knocked for a while then pulled the doorknob. Sofia's room is bright. When he got to the door, Jordan wondered where the servants had gone, and they were here.

Together with Sofia who was sitting on the sofa, they were busy with something on the table.

"Sophy."

The sound was shocking and they just let it go. Four servants, two of whom were no strangers to Jordan, stood with their heads lowered on the floor.

"Greet Your Majesty."

"Jordan." Sofia's smile expands seeing Jordan on the doorstep.

"What are you doing?"

Jordan walked quickly to Sofia's place. His eyes looked at the colorful flowers spread out on the table.

"Ah I was walking in the park and then picking flowers, tomorrow I will dry. I'll make a nice letter paper decoration for Jordan."

"Walking? You can't move your legs yet."

Jordan took a seat next to Sofia.

"I'm bored."

"But still, it's not written like this." Jordan glanced at the servants who were still lined up neatly like statues.

"I forced them to keep it a secret. Sorry for not asking Jordan's permission first, Jordan was very busy today. I'm afraid to disturb."

"You can ask the waiter to do it Sofia."

"I want to do it myself."

"Well! You stubborn." Jordan breathed a rough sigh. How worried he was.

"Jordan's angry? I'm sorry."

"It's not Sofia. The wound on your leg could've been opened again."

"It doesn't hurt anymore."

"But..."

"I promise I won't do it again."

Jordan nodded. From tomorrow it seemed like he would have to put guards in front of the room as well as order the servants. Sofia's condition is much more important here.

"There's something I want to tell Sofia."

"What's that?"

Jordan glanced at the servants. Gestured to leave them both.

He took a deep breath before opening his mouth. It might be difficult but there is no other way.

"Sofia asked for my help, didn't she yesterday?"

Sofia nodded then replied 'yes' slowly.

"There's one way to solve this problem."

Sofia's eyes blinked. Listen to Jordan with a strong heart. He's the one who asked Jordan for help, of course he's ready to accept whatever Jordan has to offer.

"Married to Sofia."
