The Happy Ending Love Story

The Happy Ending Love Story
More Than Love, This Is Destiny #2

“Day is getting colder, when will the first snow fall?” Theia grumbled as she sipped her tea. His eyes are still looking out. There is a path in front of him. The road he used to go to the market. It'll be dark soon. The fallen leaves add to the gloomy afternoon. The light will turn dark, the afternoon will turn night. Dark night without end for Theia because every night the man always comes to his dream.

“Everything will surely be fine.” Theia said to herself. He then got up and walked towards the window. All windows and doors must be closed before nightfall so that the cold outside does not enter the house. Cold is more pronounced at night than in the morning.

As her hand reached one side of the window, Theia's eyes caught a shadow right at the end of the path of her yard. But the moment he stopped to notice her the figure was gone. Like a shadow. No one ever visited his house. Then who? Whatisit?. Theia was instantly overwhelmed with fear. Someone is hiding him. Someone is watching him. Suddenly a memory passed.

“Arei! Arei!” Theia yells. His body was blocked by two tall and well-built men. His height could not pass through his shoulders. His view was completely blocked. From the slit of the arms of the two men Theia could see the back she recognized. It was the back of Arei, her husband.

“Urus the rest and soon after.” Arei's voice sounded.

“Arei what is going on? What's the matter?” Theia kept trying to find out what was happening in front of her house. Suddenly her body was blocked by two men she did not know as she wanted to get close to Arei. Two men in warrior uniforms would stand in his way when he thrashed. They did not touch Theia but the two bodies of the soldiers were enough of a hindrance to know what was happening on the backs of the two soldiers.

“Arei!” Theia shouted back. Not the answer he heard but a horse-footed stomp sounded. Theia tried to find a gap, when she got it, a reality hit her.

Her husband's area had turned into someone else's. Arei who usually smiled in simple clothes was now a person with a serious face. His lips were straight and his eyes were staring hard. His simple clothes had been wiped out by changing into very good formal clothes. There were so many accessories stuck to his chest. Arei sat on a dark horse that was no less gallant. He looked at Theia who was underneath him like a small insect, indifferent. Without a word, Arei turned her face away. His hand pulled the horse back and then walked away.

“You two are soon after.” Said Arei then darted off with his horse.

The mood became quiet. The crowd in front of his house was like a whirlwind. Theia stood like a rock in her place. His brain was trying hard to process what was happening. His eyes stared at Arei's back nanar who was moving on his horse until it was no longer visible. After the group of soldiers who followed Arei was nowhere to be seen, the two soldiers who remained immediately ran towards his horse then immediately went to follow Arei away. Theia was left with no idea what happened.

After a few days of searching for Arei, Theia heard rumors that Duke Osbern, the ruler of the northern region came to her village. No one knew where the Duke had gone, but there were those who saw their entourage out of the forest. The direction of the forest they were talking about was the direction of his home. Theia collapsed to the ground. Her husband's arei was the ruler of the northern region, and Theia did not know that. But he remembered something, the flag emblem neatly stitched on the flag carried by the soldiers was a bear. It was clearly a symbol of Osbern, belonging to Duke Osbern, even a small child knew who the landowner they were living in today. Theia was sinking into the darkness.

The flames were barking and thick black smoke was rising. Theia woke up with cold sweat on her forehead and irregular breathing. She's dreaming. Nightmares. In the dream Theia looked back at her burning house. The angry fire ate his house to the end. Theia's body shook. Her tears flowed uncontrollably. His already quiet life of three months is threatened, will this time he be able to survive. Especially what will happen this time. All this time Theia wondered in her heart, what was the reason Duke Osbern was after her. With her innocent mind Theia was still thinking about the reason until she came to the conclusion that there were many reasons, such as Duke Osbern must have felt cheated by her and or Duke trying to avenge the person who had deceived her.

Who does not know the ruler of the northern region, Duke Ares Knox Osbern. The knight leader as well as the loyal subordinate of Emperor Bylona. A bloodthirsty and invincible person in a war against another empire. Bylona always wins under Duke. The cold-hearted and compassionate Duke must have wanted revenge on Theia who had been deceiving him all along. Theia was making use of her circumstances back then. But Theia herself did not know the origin of Arei. He only helps her then they both fall in love and agree to get married. Theia pure never cheated the Duke.

Theia had completely sealed her house shut, the window she normally opened was now tightly shut. He curled up on his bed with his knees on his chest similar to a ball. Body shivers. Fear clearly haunted him. The face of Arei who saw her indifferently three months ago continued to be visible as she closed her eyes. Theia couldn't tell the difference day or night because she closed her house. Three days later Theia ventured out of the house, walking to the market to listen to the rumors. Not as usual. Usually he goes to the market to sell or buy something. This time Theia roamed the market to listen to the rumors. Who knew he could hear rumors about Duke Osbern or his knights. Yet there was nothing he heard except trivial rumors. Theia was a little calm. The shadow figure he saw three days ago must have been just a mirage, it could have been just a tree shadow.

After there was nothing else she wanted to hear, Theia immediately returned home. The trip to his house was quite quiet. He walked the path carefully. Rain fell on Leinan last night. Wet and slippery roads. Theia was very attentive to her steps, she did not want to fall because there was something she had to protect. Something more precious than his own life. Theia was every day preparing for her escape. He had made an escape route if anyone chased him. Of course a safe route. He doesn't want to die. He wants to live long because in a few months he'll have a friend. The friend who will be his only friend, his soulmate, his entire life, his son. Theia's pregnant. She was pregnant with her husband's son, Arei.
