The Happy Ending Love Story

The Happy Ending Love Story
Game of Hearts #17

Unmaintained house with gate locked tightly. Seokyung hasn't been home for a year. The house holds many memories with her mother. Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of his death. Seokyung wants to visit his grave. She misses her mother. He wants to tell his life story. Seokyung also wants to tell about her children as well as their father, Kang Inhwan.

Seokyung walked in with heavy steps. The house was dark and many plants grew wild. Seokyung opened the door with the key she was carrying. Tonight he will sleep here then tomorrow after visiting his mother he must return to Seoul.

The electricity in the house is not on. Maybe because long time not used all the channels in his house disconnected. Seokyung opened all the windows to get the moonlight. Fortunately the water could still come out, Seokyung washed his face with water then looked for candles for lighting his sleep.

Seokyung takes the mattress and then she titles it in the living room. Seokyung does not want to sleep in a dark and closed place. His feelings were already quite claustrophobic thinking about his life. Seokyung wants to sleep in the moonlight from the side door of her house.

Due to extreme fatigue, he immediately closed his eyes when he touched the pillow.

Seokyung. In the dream he meets Hwan. Seokyung's tears came out uncontrollably. He misses that guy.

"Are you having nightmares?"

Seokyung opened her eyes.

"Hwan?"

"It's me."

"I must have been dreaming."

Seokyung closed then opened her eyes again. Her tears were flowing as her cheeks were wet.

"I must have missed you so much that this dream felt real." Seokyung's lips were trembling.

Seokyung looked at Hwan who was lying next to her. Their bodies face each other.

"I, I miss you." Said Seokyung with a muffled voice sobbing.

He approached Hwan and then hugged him. His face sank into Hwan's chest. His tears came out even more. The warmth soon spread. It was this warm body that he had longed for. The faint scent of Hwan's old perfume he hadn't smelled now filled his chest. There's no denying that Seokyung misses Hwan so much.

"Hwan, I love you. I can't live without you. Me, I miss you so much." Seokyung's voice shook. She wants to meet Hwan and tell him all her feelings. But he's scared. Because this is a dream, Seokyung wants to free her heart.

The sobs turned into a smooth snoring. Seokyung's breathing is back in order. Those tightly closed swollen eyes were still wet. His face was white but pale. He looked exhausted all over his body. He's thinner than ever. This scene hurts my heart.

Sunlight enters through the open windows and doors. With heavy eyes Seokyung opened her eyes. There was a dark shadow before him. A large figure that blocked the incoming sunlight fell on him. Seokyung blinked her eyes.

"Hwan?" She's surprised. She had a dream last night to meet Hwan, and Hwan was still there beside her.

"Maybe it's because I miss you so much that this dream feels so real." Seokyung said as she touched Hwan's lips with her finger. He traced Hwan's face slowly. From the eyes, nose and back to the lips. He had long enjoyed Hwan's face. Wanting to remember it as much as possible, if he woke up that face would disappear.

Feeling the touch on his face Hwan opened his eyes. Seokyung with a serious face and eyes that threatened to cry, looked at him fixedly. His hand touched his lips. Seokyung seems to be unaware that Hwan's eyes are open.

"Are you awake?"

Seokyung's hand jolted because of Hwan's moving lips. Their eyes locked onto each other.

Seokyung pulled his hand. "You're like real in dreams."

"You don't dream, baby, it's me." Hwan pulls Seokyung's hand. As a result Seokyung's body hit Hwan.

"Yes?" Seokyung.

"I'm real. I'm Kang Inhwan."

"real? Then I'm not dreaming?" Seokyung got up in surprise. He rests on Hwan's chest.

"No. You're not dreaming." Hwan pulls Seokyung and she falls into Hwan's chest again.

"Then wasn't last night a dream?"

"Of course not. I'm real, baby." Hwan stroked Seokyung's head slowly.

"Really?"

"Yes. I'm real."

"How are you here?"

"I've been looking for you for a long time, where are you hiding from me hmm?"

Both silent. They enjoy each other's beating hearts. Suddenly Seokyung remembered something. Face looked up.

"It looks like last night I made a mistake."

Hwan's forehead is wrinkled.

"I said things I shouldn't."

"About you loving me and missing me?"

Seokyung bit her lip. Since last night was not a dream, of course Hwan heard his confession.

"What's wrong?"

Hwan rubbed Seokyung's lips with his thumb. He did not want those sweet lips to hurt.

"I usually delirious when I sleep. Sorry." Seokyung replied with her head lowered.

Hwan pulls Seokyung's chin to kiss her lips at a glance.

"If it is said it can no longer be withdrawn." Hwan took off his kiss for a while then kissed her again.

Seokyung closed her eyes. Feeling Hwan's sweet lips. Hwan's deep kiss suddenly stopped.

"Listen carefully, I'll say something important."

Seokyung stared fixedly at Hwan.

"You are the heart of my heart Seokyung, I love you with all my soul. Don't leave me again. I can't live without you." Hwan tightened his embrace.

"Don't leave me again." Low voice of Hwan.

Seokyung's body is goosebumps. He nodded still in disbelief. First, last night wasn't a dream. Second, Hwan confessed to loving her. Is this a dream or a real reality. Seokyung did not dare guess. He was afraid that this was just a dream.

"Stay by Seokyung's side, I need you and our son needs his mother."

"Hwan?"

"Yes?"

"It's not a dream, is it?"

"It's not a darling."

"Hwan?"

"Hmm?"

"I missed you. I love you." Seokyung said in a low voice.

Seokyung looked up and touched Hwan's face. Make sure again and again if this is not a dream.

Courage that came out of nowhere, Seokyung raised her body slightly then kissed Hwan's lips at a glance. Hwan's hand pulled his neck and deepened their kiss. Unwittingly Seokyung comfortably sits atop Hwan's body.

"I miss you." Hwan between their kisses.

Seokyung answered with a smile.

"Where have you been all this time?" Hwan took off his kiss.

Seokyung just kept quiet with her head down.

"I searched everywhere, but you disappeared without a trace. Why did you just go back to Busan? Where have you been all this time, baby?"

Seokyung raised her head when she heard Hwan say the word 'honey'.

"I'm in Seoul."

Hwan's forehead is wrinkled. If Seokyung's in Seoul why doesn't he come home. They were that close but why couldn't Hwan find them.

"Why not come or call me?"

"I'm afraid, maybe Sora will kick me out again."

"Where have you been all this time, baby? I'm crazy for not finding you." Hwan stroked Seokyung's cheeks.

"At the house of the maid's aunt."

"Yes?" Hwan gasp.

"When Sora came and I got kicked out, the maid's aunt helped me. I was offered to stay at his house. I still want to give my ASI to Inkyung and Inseo. So I asked for his help to give it away secretly." Seokyung.

"But auntie didn't tell me anything."

"I prevented it. I'm afraid Sora knows."

"But I deserve to know Seokyung."

"I'm sorry." Seokyung looked down again.

"Did aunt tell you something?"

"About?"

"I divorced Sora."
