Rumors have it that Baron Barell's daughter escaped from the palace.
A woman who many people know will be used as a tool to legitimize the power of the emperor's concubines. But no one knows what his name is. Not many people know what that person's face looks like.
News of Sofia's disappearance spread throughout the main palace. The guards and servants talked about it.
Curses, insults and insults came out of their mouths. Like Sofia is a lowly woman who saved the emperor but instead betrayed. Only a village noble does not know himself.
Alfonso observed them in silence. Sitting leisurely on one of the branches of a strong tree. His ears kept information underneath. He was the only one who was free to break out of the Hexalios mansion.
Since Sofia was declared missing, the emperor lowered the order to block the access of the House of Duke Hexalios. The large mansion in the middle of the city was guarded by dozens of imperial knight orders. Practically no one can get in and out.
Evil rumors follow after Sofia's disappearance. This rumor has a much more distant scale. It is said that Duke Hexalios attempted to rebel against Emperor Elderbar.
Some nobles who did not like Duke Hexalios' family exaggerated the story. They even paid an intermediary to spread malicious rumors.
The rumors progressed in a direction that could no longer be controlled. Duke Hexalios' reputation as a war hero was swept away by the current. Some even say that Duke Hexalios wanted the throne. The fact that the king did not yet have a queen and heir, corroborates the allegation.
Duke Hexalios shut himself down as the rumor spread. But their silence was to deny the rumors that continue to grow.
The residents of the Hexalios mansion chose to stay until the tense atmosphere subsided. They don't know what happened that night. They were awakened in the middle of the night by the sound of stomping footsteps of soldiers entering the mansion. Without warning and suddenly.
The only person who wants to get out of the palace is the Duke Hexalios himself, Jordan Hexalios. But his move was prevented by his butler and aide.
Alfonso became their hope.
"What did you hear from the palace?" Sir White's voice was shaking.
"Rumors."
"How bad is that?"
"Rumors about His Majesty are always bad." Alfons let out a loud sigh.
"Well!" Sir White rubbed his face rough. "What about Lady Sofia? Is there any news?"
Alfons shook his head weakly. It had been more than a week he had been lurking around the palace, but there was not a single piece of good news he had heard.
"What is His Majesty's condition?"
"Don't ask her condition. Not sleeping a single month, Your Majesty is fine. I'm worried about his emotions. Your Majesty can explode at any time."
"What really happened that night?" Ask Alfons curiously. Everyone is the same, but they choose to keep their mouth shut.
"The story is complicated."
"Away with Lady Sofia?"
Sir White nodded slowly.
"He has not been found. I can't believe he left the palace."
"Yes? You sure?"
Alfons nodded then continued. "That night I stood guard at the back door of the palace without orders. No one is out of there. Passing through the wall or something is also no sign."
"Really?"
"Lady Sofia is very close to her servants isn't she?"
Sir White assented in a soft voice and nodded his head.
"They also disappeared as if swallowed by the earth. It's so weird."
"Yes?"
"I think Lady Sofia is still in the palace."
Alfons stroked his chin slowly. His brain was squeezed to think. The moment their gazes met, they compactly opened their mouths.
"Soltera Prison."
It is a place that Sir White and Alfons share.
Soltera Prison is an underground prison. Only the emperor could access it. It is located deep underground in the main palace. Very secret and mysterious.
"But there's a chance it's not there either, we have to find Lady Sofia's maid first. They might know something."
Alfonso agreed with Sir White's idea.
"I'm going back to the palace and staking out the prison there."
Sir White nodded.
"Be careful. I'll report to His Majesty soon."
They parted ways with their own paths. Alphons immediately disappeared behind the mansion's walls. While Sir White went down the narrow road to return to the mansion.
"Your Majesty, Alfonso found one of Lady Sofia's servants."
"Yes?" Sontak Jordan got up from his chair.
"Alfons is on his way here from the slave trade center."
Jordan ran out of his room then down the stairs. Sir White blocked Jordan's move as he was about to open the main door.
"Your Majesty please remain calm. If you like this, they'll be provoked."
"Sofia, it might be there."
Jordan is still trying to open the door.
"Your Majesty please."
Charlie White nearly toppled backwards withstanding Jordan's strength. Everyone in the Hexalios mansion was desperate. They've been holding themselves back all this time.
The order that Duke Hexalios belonged to could not compare to that of the empire. But they lost with power. Cap as a traitor sticks with time. One wrong move, the Hexalios family is threatened.
Not just the life of one person, but the life of the entire occupant of the mansion was at stake.
Desperation and frustration attack everyone.
"Your Majesty please."
It is his job to protect his employer. Charlie White had sworn a knight to the Hexalios family when he was a teenager. He grew up with Jordan. A dozen years of service made him ready to risk his life for the Hexalios.
Amidst their confusion, the butler ran with a loud voice.
"Alfons has arrived. They're in the kitchen." Stammering sounds are heard.
Jordan turned his legs and ran into the kitchen. Sir White followed, and the butler who had not had time to take a breath followed with a whitened face.
Activity in the kitchen was halted and all maids were sent back to their rooms. There was only Jordan, Charlie, the butler, Alfons, and a woman sitting on the floor with her head bowed. Her appearance was far from good, her clothes were tattered. Several wounds were visible on his exposed body.
"What's your name?"
"Your Majesty please don't kill me. I'll do anything."
"You're one of Sofia's servants, aren't you? What's your name."
Silent.
"I'm not going to kill you. So just answer what I ask." Jordan's voice sharpens.
"Ba, well Your Majesty."
"What's your name?"
"Ema."
"Ema, do you know where Sofia is?"
Ema looked up then shook her head. Her tears are spilling.
"That night you weren't with Sofia?"
Ema nodded back.
"What's really going on?"
"Miss told us to leave the palace before the sun went down. We agreed to meet at the market when night fell."
Jordan's forehead is wrinkled.
"But we've been waiting a long time but Miss didn't come. So I went back to the palace to catch up with Miss. I left Rona at the market where we were as close to meeting."
Ema hesitated to continue.
"You're back in the back palace?"
Ema nodded with a pias face and was wet with tears.
"I saw Miss Sofia being dragged away by the guards. I was caught and passed out. When I opened my eyes I was already at the slave trade place." Ema's voice vibrated.
The silent atmosphere was very stifling. Hot blood flowed quickly in his body.
"Miss Sofia said that His Majesty the Emperor agreed to release her. But His Majesty did not keep his promise. His Majesty forced Miss to serve him in bed. We made a plan to escape. But we're finally caught." Ema was crying.
"Where is Miss Sofia now? Miss isn't dead, is she? Master you must know where Miss is now? Please tell me, I'll catch up soon." Sofia's cry broke out, her voice filling the room. Crying so badly.
