How ironic. That's a word that deserves to describe the events that happened to them.
Kent brought back a container of water and a towel. He sat down in front of Ranjam. Looking at Jessy who was still crying.
"Why are we still crying Jess?" Kent said as he dipped the towel in the water and then squeezed it. Carefully wiping Jessy's cheeks.
Jessy hates how she is right now. He doesn't like to look weak in front of people who don't like him. He must be laughing at her.
"We are ironic." Jessy set her eyes on Kent.
"Hmm?" Kent who was busy wiping Jessy's wet cheeks responded.
"When we were married we were never like this at all."
"What kind of an adventure?"
"Sleep together."
Hent's hand stopped. He put the towel into the container then looked at Jessy. The eyeballs that I had yesterday were bright and firm.
"Are you sorry you did it with me?"
Forehead Farted.
"Oh yes, men can do it without liking."
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about our ironic situation. Funny yeah, we do it after we're no longer husband and wife. While married, not." Jessy said with a bland smile.
"You asked Jess, don't talk shit."
"But you can reject it, right?"
"I warned you Jess. You begged me, I remind you if you forget."
Jessy's eyes are perfectly rounded. Kent is not wrong, only Jessy does not want to lose to Kent.
"You're sorry? I've come home you can't be sorry."
"No. I have no regrets. It's happened anyway. If I get married again, it would be strange if I who have been married was still holy. I assume this is something that should happen. It was delayed by four years. My duty as a wife means it's done." Obviously Jessy.
As Jessy's energy rose. But his head kept beating. Finally he leaned on the head of the bed weakly.
"Why are you always like this Jess? You just say thank you." Kent lowered his voice.
"Yes, thank you for helping me. I just regret myself. Why should I look weak in front of you."
"You don't like seeing me anymore?"
"Aren't you the one who doesn't like to see me?"
"Jess I have a name, my name is not you." Kent's voice is sharp.
Jessy quiet. Refusing to respond to Kent. He turned his face away.
"We've just met again after four years of Jessy. But why are we always like this every time we meet." Kent's voice softened. He's like handling a sulking little boy.
"Nobody in the world likes to meet an ex-husband who hates him." Timpal Jessy fast.
"I don't hate you."
"But you don't like me and leave all the blame to me." Jessy looked back at Kent.
"It's not like that Jessy."
"Do you still like Jhoya? I already know everything. Our marriage was wrong from the beginning. If you know it's wrong why shut up? You can cancel the wedding. Obviously it's not me you want. I who was lulled into the dream of a happy marriage looked pitiful in your eyes. It wasn't me you expected, but Jhoya? That's why you hate me." Jessy's voice was weak but sharp.
Kent's eyes are perfectly rounded. It was his secret with his parents who turned out to be wrong to propose. Jhoya should be Jessy's sister but Jessy is the target. There was a misunderstanding in the middle of the process. When aware of the mistake, the wedding ceremony has been prepared in such a way. Kenta can't dodge. During the marriage, she had not been able to accept reality.
"Jess enough, don't talk about it again. That's a long time ago. We can't live with the mistakes of the past, right?" Kent smiled faintly. "I was wrong and I'm sorry for Jessy's incompetence. You can hate me as you please." Kent's voice was weak.
"I did. I always hoped we wouldn't see each other again. But God likes to joke around." Jessy was silent for a moment. "May we never see each other again." Further.
"Juna just arrived last night. I'll tell him if you're conscious." Kent got up and left Jessy alone in the room.
Dadany. Hearing Jessy blurting out whatever was on her mind, Kent looked like he was looking at her. He used to be like that to Jessy. Complicated thoughts. He's fucked.
"Jessy!" Yola cried when she saw Jessy. He rushed in and found Jessy.
"Why can you believe Jess. You are worried." Yola almost cried.
"Somebody gave me no real medicine La. But I don't know, I'm healed." Jessy replied calmly.
There were a few people who entered the room, there were Juna, Yola and Kent. Another friend of Jessy's is waiting in the middle of the bungalow. This afternoon they will return to Jakarta.
"I'm so scared when you don't go back to the room. I tried calling you. But that lifted Mr. Kent. Then Mr. Juna called me, he said you just woke up from a fever. You don't papa, Jess?" Repeat Yola with her worried voice.
Jessy nodded weakly.
"Thankful deh. We went back to Jakarta, Jess. You were here until you healed completely. Later you let me take care of Doni."
"Thank you La. But I'll be back in Jakarta as soon as I can, won't I?"
"Yes." Yeah." Juna and Kent answered together.
"I mean Mas Juna. When are we going back?" Jessy sets her sights on Juna and completely ignores Kent.
Juna nodded.
"Oh that. Okay, Jess. We go back first."
"Greetings to friends La. Sorry to make you worry."
"Sir Jess. We love Jessy a lot." Yola hugged Jessie.
After Yola's departure, the atmosphere returned to silence. Juna walked over to Jessy.
"Where's Jess still sick?" Tanya Juna examined each core of Jessy's body.
Jessy shakes.
"There's no mas. I'm healed. When are we going back to Jakarta?" Ask Jessy.
"After you've healed."
"I'm healed."
"But you still seem weak Jess."
"Mas Juna can carry me. I want to go home quickly. I don't like it here." Jessy said spontaneously.
Kent's like a transparent human there. His presence is ignored by Jessy.
"Yes wait a moment. You need to prepare first."
"It's true Jess. For bringing a sick person, it cannot be at will. Besides, Bali's distance to Jakarta is not close." Kent Timpal.
Again Kent was ignored, not even Jessy saw him at all.
"Can't go back to Jakarta now?" Whine Jessy on Juna.
"It can, but it takes time. We'll be back in the afternoon."
Jessy nodded.
"OK on papa. But I don't want to be here. Take me out mas. I don't like it." Jessy pulled Juna's hand. Begging with teary eyes.
"Yes, I'm gonna take Jessy out. Where's jessy going? Your body is still weak Jess."
"Wherever you're from isn't here."
Kent stood stiffly looking at Jessy who begged Juna to take her away. Kent's heart sank. He is confused by his own feelings. Kent doesn't like to see Jessy that way.
