At dawn Alex was leaving. Today is the last day of the Duke and Duchess Hexalios. Jordan's face flashed quickly in Alex's mind. Every year Jordan would lock himself up on memorial day. Therefore, the Hexalios mansion never performed the offering ceremony.

Alex always comes to cheer Jordan up. They were like brothers and sisters raised by the Duchess Hexalios.

Once there Alex doesn't find Jordan. He heard the butler's explanation in silence.

"His Highness the Duke exited the mansion before sunrise. He just took Sir White and came out riding a horse."

There's no way Jordan's going to his parents' graves. Because it was something he never did. Alex's forehead is wrinkled. This was the first time Jordan had been able to get out of the room on the day of his parents' death.

"Where did Jordan go? Is there a place he recently visited."

"For that I do not know His Majesty. Maybe Alfons can tell you. Because Alfons and Sir White are close to His Highness the Duke."

"Call him."

Alex tries to solve the puzzle of Jordan's existence. How hard he thought, there wasn't a single answer Alex got.

"You call me Your Majesty?"

"Yes. Maybe you know where Alex is?"

"No, Your Majesty. His Highness the Duke hasn't left me any messages since yesterday."

"Then where is he? Maybe someone visited a lot recently?"

Alfons.

"If there is. His Highness the Duke once every two or three days would pay a visit to the palace. Maybe Your Majesty already knows."

"Stana? Last time I met Jordan was after the party. And that was a long time ago. One month ago."

"Maybe His Highness the Duke did not meet you. Duke must have visited Lady Sofia."

"Yes?"

"I always have orders to keep an eye on Lady Sofia. I'm waiting for Lady Sofia at the back door of the palace to deliver the Duke's message or bring something."

Alex's takedown was choked. Sofia's residence palace was the place she had neglected the most.

"Your Majesty the Duke must be there."

"How close is their relationship?"

Alfonso hesitated to answer.

"You can tell me. There's no secret between me and Jordan."

Alfons nodded then opened his voice.

As the story of Alfons flows. Alex scrunched his eyebrows a few times. Alfons' story closes with Jordan interested in Sofia.

Alex got up after hearing Alfons' story.

"A fascinating story."

He just left. Alex knows where Jordan is. He rushed back to the palace. The goal was not to return to his place but Alex headed straight for the back palace.

Alex meets an aide Jordan who is standing guard next to his master's horse.

"Greet His Majesty Emperor Elderbar."

"Where's Jordan?"

"Your Majesty the Duke is riding."

"I'll catch up with him."

Alex unbinds the horse and immediately rides.

"But Your Majesty."

The gallant black horse instantly shot up after its reins were pulled. Alex's first destination is a hunting forest and a lake. Because around the back palace there's just that. Jordan will not go far because the palace area is not all can be used for horse riding.

There is no hunting forest. Alex spurred his speed into the lake. As soon as the grass and puddles were visible, Alex slowed down. His eyes scanned around.

Under the shady tree and in the breeze, two humans were sitting leisurely laughing. Their voices broke in the air.

Very harmonious. Two people who are like they are mixing love. The woman smiled shyly. While the man continued to tease and his eyes were filled with honey of affection.

As the two drown in their own happiness, Alex is stunned in disbelief. The two people not far away from him were very different from the ones he usually saw.

That woman is Sofia. Alex met him several times. The woman he married had a cold look. Emotionless. But right now Sofia is showing millions of emotions that are foreign to her.

Jordan, the man sitting next to Sofia no less surprised Alex. Her attitude was very gentle as if appreciating Sofia with all her heart.

Suddenly Jordan's head falls into Sofia's lap. They whispered to each other. Alex wants to know what they whisper to each other.

Alex's chest is struck when Sofia caresses Jordan's face and hair. Full of care and consideration.

Alex turned his face away. He turned the reins then came back. Like peeping into something you shouldn't.

For some reason, Alex's feelings are complicated to see the intimacy of Jordan and Sofia. Little envious. Because Sofia never saw him like Sofia saw Jordan.

Sofia always gave off an aura of hostility to him. Alex's mind was empty.

Can someone change so quickly? or this is what real Sofia is.

She married. They made a promise to each other in front of the God Elderbar. Their bond is sacred. But why did Sofia even smile at the other man.

Shouldn't that person be him?

Alex's thoughts were spinning. Sofia should be closer to him than Jordan.

Sofia is his wife. Shouldn't she have kept her honor as a wife?

Jordan couldn't possibly be affected with Sofia, right? Shouldn't have.

The word 'should' repeatedly Alex spoke in his heart.

Those complicated thoughts soon Alex enlivened. He doesn't care. Sofia is just a tool. However he would not be able to leave the palace without his permission. They are legal partners in front of everyone.

As long as Alex doesn't divorce her, Jordan won't be able to do anything. He couldn't possibly defy Emperor Elderbar's orders.

Alex comes to the conclusion that their relationship is not important to him. Jordan has a new toy. So if he gets bored, Jordan will just leave Sofia.

Eventually Sofia will return to being an exiled woman in the back palace.

Meaningless and alone. Back to where it came from, just a tool.

A grin appeared on Alex's lips. His calm has returned.

The main focus is Janetta.

Janetta must soon give birth to the prince so she can get rid of Sofia immediately. The lowly woman of the village nobility. Sold by his family to be an emperor's tool.

The woman who was not even worthy of being the wife of the emperor recalled her birth history. Alex knows.

Sofia has half noble blood. He's just Baron Barell's bastard son with a commoner.

Alex is covering up this reality. Sofia has to be a real noble for Janetta's sake. From the beginning that was his job. Be a stepping stone for Janetta.

Alex's plan is at the halfway point. This plan must work. She only wants Janetta as her queen. The woman he loves should sit next to him. If the absolute laws of the empire could not, Alex would make his own possibilities. In his own way.

Although in a way to hurt a lot of people, Alex doesn't care.

The empress' crown will be dedicated only to Janetta.
