"Jody, I've been waiting for you."

Jordan's forehead creased as he watched Alex sitting leisurely on his study couch.

"When did you get to Lux?"

"Since sunrise."

It was almost late in the afternoon and the sun was already sinking. Jordan is aware of the fact that Alex has been waiting for him for a long time.

"You came without notice."

"I come every year, in today's Jody."

Jordan's forehead is wrinkled.

"You keep yourself locked up in your room every year. But today is different as before."

Jordan loosened his tie then on the sofa.

"What do you want to say Lux. You can say it clearly." Jordan folded his arms around his chest then leaned against the sofa.

"Where have you been?"

"It's not your business to know where I'm going."

Alex's face hardened hearing Jordan's reply.

"I've heard the story about Sofia."

Silence broke between the two.

"You shouldn't be showing me how you feel, Jody."

Alex changed his seat. His back is erect with a hardened jaw.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't you want something that isn't yours?" Alex threw a sharp look.

Although Alex's face darkened and his voice pierced. Jordan is not shaky. He's not afraid. Trained with the rigors of a battlefield that was ready to die even though it made him not afraid of anything.

Unlike Alex who is always intimidating with his power, for Jordan, Alex is like a lion cub who is roaring. It has a ring but no power.

Jordan laughed with his head tilted. A grin appeared at the corner of his lips.

"What do you really want to say Lux? Just go ahead, don't go around in circles."

"Sofia Barell's. Stay away from her."

Alex deflected a hostile look at Jordan. Jordan who was used to this gaze straightened his back then opened his voice.

"I don't know who Sofia Barell is, who I know is Sofia Margaret."

Alex scatters his own spit. His eyes are perfectly round.

"Well whoever Sofia's last name is, stop approaching the woman you just met at the forest hunting lake."

Jordan gasps.

"You spied on me Lux?"

Alex's face hardened. He needs to assert a limit that Jordan cannot cross.

"Jody, you see.the woman is a tool to legitimize Janetta's position. If rumors come out you're close to him, things will get complicated. So please stay away from her. If the task is done, you are free to do anything with it. For now please hold your wish."

"I refuse."

"Jody." Jody."

"Don't sentug Sofia. I warned you. I don't care about your plans Lux. Janetta has entered the palace, I think Sofia's job is done."

"No. It's not like that."

"Yes? You mean what? If Janetta fails to give birth to a prince you will use Sofia to give birth to a prince?"

Alex was stunned not to answer.

"Then the child will be a prince born of Janetta. Then this will be the basis for Janetta sitting in the empress' chair?"

"From the beginning it was his duty."

"Did Sofia know? or have you never talked to Lux? Have you ever thought about her feelings?"

Jordan's anger soared to see Alex's residence. It was as if she was asserting Jordan's assumption.

Imagining Sofia connecting with Alex to give birth to her child, enough to make her crazy. If it becomes real, Jordan could go completely insane.

Alex can't touch Sofia's hair.

"I think we've had enough of our conversation. I hope you can think clearly Jordan. Don't want something that isn't yours."

"Sofia's not an item, she's a human being with feelings."

"I don't care."

Alex got up and walked away.

"If you touch Sofia just a little, you have to pay for every inch of Lux. I'm serious."

Brakes.

The sound of the door slamming sounded loud.

Jordan broke his hair rough. Sofia should be his soon. Either way, easy or hard Jordan doesn't care. He is ready to face obstacles to get Sofia.

Instead of returning to the study room with documents piled up to be completed, Alex went to the back palace once he reached the palace.

His eyes scanned the old building that was still standing solidly. Silent and pathetic. His neglected condition was pitiful in Alex's eyes.

His eyes filled with annoyance and overflowing emotions, Alex opened the door without knocking first.

The sky light dimmed even more as Sofia drowned in her pleasure. Until he did not realize, Alex stood to see him without blinking.

As Sofia's head looked up with her hands warmed up the ornate white paper, her gaze met with Alex.

"Geez!" Sofia screamed in shock. The paper in his hand just got thrown away.

"Yes, Your Majesty." With a stuttering voice Sofia got up and immediately bowed.

"I think I'm bothering you." Alex's voice broke the silence.

"No, Your Majesty. Please speak comfortably." Sofia straightened her back with a faint smile.

Alex's face hardened. His brightly colored eyeballs were now darkening. The change in her emotions occurred due to seeing Sofia who was stiff when faced with her.

Where did the woman who sparkled with a smile go. With a face reddened with embarrassment. Laughing and free. Like only the happiness he had.

Alex's blood is boiling.

"Is it because I'm treating you so badly that you're like this to me?"

"I'm sorry? What are you talking about, Your Majesty?"

"Ah done. My mind's fucked up so I'm like this." Alex turned around with a blackened heart.

"Your Majesty, what exactly are you trying to say? You came all the way here didn't mean to mess up, did you? This is the first time you have ever entered the palace. Please speak comfortably." Sofia's voice was sharpened and cold.

Alex looked over with a frown. Sofia's voice was always hostile when it reached her ears. Betraying what he saw with Jordan. They whispered to each other softly.

"Yes, at least I should satisfy my curiosity. Like you said, I've come all the way here."

"Please speak comfortably." Sofia linked her hands together on her dress.

"There's one thing I want to say." Sejanak. "Stay away from Duke Hexalios."

Sofia. His voice was stuck in his throat.

"You know what your job is here. If rumors spread, everything will be difficult. Janetta has just debuted in social circles as the emperor's concubine. The path would be obstructed if something like that were to spread."

Of course Sofia knows what her job is, somehow when hearing it directly from Alex feels painful. Sofia thought it wasn't going to hurt, it was very painful. Sofia wants to hit her tight chest.

"We are only friends with His Majesty. You don't have to worry."

"Jordan, I mean Duke Hexalios is the only family of emperors and has a high power second only to the emperor. So stop your meeting. After all, you're different levels."

Sofia nodded. He certainly knows how low he is in front of Alex. But Sofia is tired of being bullied. He didn't do anything wrong.

"You promised to help Janetta."

"Yes and you also promised to set me free."

Sofia snatched away as fast as lightning.

"Don't do silly things that could ruin our deal. I'll set you free once Janetta becomes an empress."

"When that?"

"When a prince is born."

"If a daughter is born?"

"You're the one who's gonna replace Janetta, give birth to the prince."

Like being struck by lightning without rain, Sofia's body stiffened upon hearing Alex's words. Something he had never heard in his dreams. As the emperor's wife, she was required to bear children. Especially a prince.

There are variables like this as well. Sofia remembers that Janetta will also give birth to the prince, after Felix was born. But the sequence is a little chaotic. Janetta should have been the queen when she gave birth to the prince.
