The Happy Ending Love Story

The Happy Ending Love Story
More Than Love, This Is Destiny #5

The storm was kicked into Duke Osbern's mansion. A cold wind blew like a tornado. Everyone froze, not knowing what to do. The house was not occupied for a long time. There are not many servants. Most servants were men because their masters were unmarried, practically no mistress should be served. Therefore when their master brought the woman home and things like this, everything was difficult.

The door was closed and only women were allowed to enter. Even the doctor who had examined Theia was now outside the same room as the Duke and his subordinates, staring blankly at the door of the room. Watching the servants and nurses come in and out carrying water and towels full of blood.

No head was raised except for the Duke, Ares. Everyone prayed for the safety of the lady who was inside. They also prayed for their own safety. Not knowing who the lady is for sure if she is in danger they are also in danger.

Ares is still not moving. Not even a sound. His eyes stared coldly at the activity in front of him that was busy. His brain was trying to understand what was happening. His affliction hasn't even subsided. Now he was brought into a new mess. Seeing his blood stiffen. He thought of Theia, her face hardened. His hands are clenched strong.

No one dared to make a sound, be it the butler Gion or the Rolex chief knight. They were the ones who had frequent interactions with the Duke. Like knowing what their master felt, Ares' subordinates tightly closed their mouths with their heads lowered.

Ares closed his eyes and opened them again. His breathing is rough. The dawn was about to dawn but the chaos before his eyes did not subside. The atmosphere grew even more tense as Ares opened his voice.

"Why is it like this? Didn't you just faint from surprise?" Ares asked openly. His voice was cold and sharp. Her killer's Eve's out. The people around him kissed.

The Rolex that felt responsible immediately came forward. His feet were bent and then lowered. "Please forgive us for our mistake, Your Majesty." A chorus of other soldiers followed Rolex.

Ares's face hardened. He himself was experiencing inner upheaval. He wants to know what happened. He wants Theia to be okay. Theia and the baby in her womb. Her curiosity gets even greater if imagining Theia conceiving, Ares wants years to belong to who the baby belongs to. If it was his Ares couldn't imagine it. She's afraid. He's daunted. He fell in bitter truth and darkness.

"This isn't the answer I want to hear." Ares. His hand rubbed his face rough. She wants to cry. Heart hurts.

The sun timidly emerged from his place of contention. The chaos in front of Ares subsided a little. The commotion in front of the entrance had lessened. The servants, knights, as well as the pale-faced doctor. They stood without sleep. Even the knights remained in their positions curled respectfully in front of Ares. Still no moving. They were afraid that even the slightest movement could take their lives.

The door opened and a doctor came out.

"Your Majesty." The doctor saluted. "Blooding has been successfully overcome but the condition of the lady is still critical. Miss has to be sober first to make sure she's okay." Obviously doctor.

"Then the baby?" Ares asked in a stifled voice.

Everyone quietly breathed a sigh of relief. They are like being released from the death penalty.

"His pulse still feels His Majesty. I hope the lady wakes up soon so we can check on her further."

Ares nodded. There was a lot he wanted to ask but he kept his mouth shut. He wants to see Theia.

"May I see how things are?"

The frail body and pale face of Theia were immediately visible. Ares was eager to hold her but there was no way she could have hurt Theia. Ares sat on the bedside. Her hand grabbed Theia's hand then held it to her lips and kissed her gently.

Ares could not hold back his tears. As long as he lived, from childhood to adulthood now Ares never cried. No matter how difficult his life Ares who was educated hard to be the successor to the family never shed tears. He is good at hiding emotions. But today in front of the helpless Theia, Ares cried. Acknowledging his heart's weakness.

The people who saw gasp. A great Duke, an imperial hero, that war general was sobbing before someone. This is something new. His image is very inappropriate. Ares Osbern's grief has bad rumors circulating among the top. The cold-hearted sorrow, the cruel Duke, to the heartless Duke, that is the nickname of Ares. But who would have thought today that nickname evaporated just like that. The duke who was crying with the woman's hands on his lips as well as his bowed back looked like an ordinary human. A gentle and loving hearted man.

Suddenly the mood became haru. The subordinates who were touched by his heart, especially the women, cried. Today the residence of Duke Osbern is shrouded in deep sorrow.

Ares wiped away the tears that fell from the corner of Theia's eyes. He stopped crying, cleaned himself and changed his clothes. The subordinates who were waiting outside had also been disbanded because of Gion and Rolex. The doctors and nurses have been discharged, with only a few remaining women.

"Are you having a bad dream? Am I your dream?" Ares said. Her hands were carefully wiping Theia's cheeks wet with tears.

"Wake up, I'm waiting for you." This time Ares whispered in Theia's ear.

Everyone in the room was watching silently. They did not dare to pay attention directly. They pray in their hearts that last night's events will not happen again.

"I'm sorry. It's all my fault. Wake up Theia, accept my apologies directly and if necessary punish me. Don't be like this. Don't punish me like this. Get up and talk to me." Ares took Theia's hand and kissed her.

So heartbreaking. Ares' low voice made everyone fall into grief. The ever-talking Duke who was firm and cold became a gentle and affectionate person. The servants who had never seen their master like that were shocked. But they are good at hiding it.

The door opened and someone entered. He's Rolex's deputy, Derrick. In his hand was a letter with the seal of the Bylona Empire.

"Captain, there's a letter that just came from the palace." Derrick wrote, handing over the letter.

Rolex's brows furrowed then took the letter and immediately opened it. His face hardened as he read the contents of the letter line by line. Rolex got up and walked over to Ares.

"Your Majesty there's a letter coming urgently from the palace."

"What's that?"
