The Happy Ending Love Story

The Happy Ending Love Story
Game of Hearts #3

The knock on the door woke Seokyung up. Unconsciously he overslept. Last night he waited for Hwan but didn't come. Tired Seokyung lay there waiting but fell asleep.

The sound of knocking on the door was heard again. Seokyung got off the bed nearing the door. If it's Hwan why knock to get in. So Seokyung asked.

"Who?" His hand opened the door knob.

"Mrs you're awake?"

Foreign faces are visible. A middle-aged woman wearing a uniform and an apron on her chest asked. The woman turns out to be Hwan's maid's aunt.

"Ah yes." Answer Seokyung briefly.

"Is there anything you want to eat for breakfast?" Ask.

"No. I'll be down soon after the shower. Is Mr Kang still home?" Ask Seokyung.

The maid's aunt's face changed. Seeing that Seokyung blames her unfamiliar tongue.

"I mean my husband." Added quickly.

Seokyung's body jolted saying 'husband'. Heart slashed. Hwan is the husband of his brother. Because of their agreement she had to replace Sora's role as Hwan's wife.

"Master has already left for the Madam's office. Maybe he left before Madam woke up. Madam speak casually to me. No need to use formal language."

"Ah sorry."

Seokyung grimaces. He felt like Hwan was avoiding him. Last night he did not come and did not go into the room. This morning he also went to the office when it was not yet noon.

"alright. I'll be right down after the shower."

He closed the door again and stared blankly at the quiet room. Nothing changed from last night, it means Hwan didn't come. I don't know why Seokyung is feeling sad. Hwan himself said they had to succeed. But he avoided it.

Seokyung got off after taking a shower and changed clothes. He enjoyed every step of the way to the kitchen. Hwan's house is huge. Two-story house and three rooms. At least that's what Seokyung saw upstairs. He only counted the doors, not daring to peek at the contents. The room he occupied was the one at the end. The other two rooms face each other. In the middle there is a hallway with a wooden floor and if it continues straight will reach the stairs. Before the stairs there was an empty room containing a sofa and several bookshelves.

Seokyung went down to the first floor. The first floor of the house was divided into three parts. The left side has a kitchen, then in the middle there is a living room. Seokyung was there last night but she didn't get to see the house. Walking straight to the right there was an open room separated by a large glass. Seokyung kept walking and there was a hidden room. Seokyung's steps stopped. He had been presumptuous to explore Hwan's house without consent. Aware of his mistake, Seokyung immediately returned to the kitchen.

"Good morning bi." Sapa Seokyung to the maid's aunt.

"Good morning, Madam. You want breakfast?"

Seokyung nodded. His eyes scanned the kitchen. Very large and the equipment is complete. There is a round dining table made of wood and the top is glass. One side of the kitchen is attached to a large and tall glass window. From there can be seen the garden in the yard. It was already dark when Seokyung arrived. He also did not have time to pay attention.

"I'll make it myself. You can break bi."

"Good Mistress. Call me if you need anything."

Seokyung nodded with a smile on her lips. After the death of the maid's aunt, Seokyung opened the refrigerator. His eyes were almost out of sight of the refrigerator being fully loaded. Seokyung saw it like a treasure. Eyes sparkling. She loves to cook, she also loves flowers, and Hwan's house supports her likes.

Seokyung's smile soon dimmed in light of the bitter reality. He's not here for fun. She's here to work, to give birth to a child. Time to stay at least one and a half years. That was if he succeeded, otherwise he would have to return the money that Sora had given him. Seokyung's appetite suddenly goes away. He closed the refrigerator and took a seat in the dining chair.

"Well!" Seokyung. How could he have succeeded if Hwan had just avoided it. This is only one day. Seokyung tries to think positively.

It was getting dark and Seokyung had done nothing all day. He's lazing. I watch television upstairs. He was surprised when someone called him. It turned out to be the maid's aunt who came home. Practically alone at home. It's eight in the night Hwan hasn't come home yet. Seokyung also doesn't have Hwan's mobile number. So he couldn't reach her.

Seokyung returned to the room with heavy steps. He took a shower and changed his clothes. He should always be ready when Hwan comes. Tonight Hwan could have come and slept with her. Just thinking about it Seokyung's heart was pounding.

Seokyung goes down to the first floor waiting for Hwan in the living room. Until ten there was no sign of Hwan coming. Seokyung returned to the room because she was tired. All day he did not do any activity but strangely his body was tired.

Ask who? Seokyung does not know people who are close to Hwan. It had been a week since he got home. During that time Seokyung only met Hwan once on the day he first came. The other six days Hwan did not see the trunk of his nose.

Seokyung ventured to ask the maid's aunt. They're familiar now. Seokyung often accompanies the cooking aunt in the kitchen. Most of the time is spent watching television or reading books. Seokyung doesn't use her phone very often because no one will contact her.

"Is my husband always this busy?"

The aunty nodded.

"Sometimes sir wasn't home for nearly a month, Madam. He also travels abroad a lot." Answer aunty.

"Oh..." Seokyung nodded in understanding. He must be a busy man.

Seokyung saw their wedding on television. Kang Inhwan is reported to be a present-day conglomerate in Korea. He is a young businessman who has a business empire in almost many countries. Of course Seokyung understands who her brother's husband is.

"Didn't you call the madam or text her?"

Actually Seokyung bumbling with the name of Madam. For the sake of perfecting their play Seokyung did not protest. As a result she was always surprised when the aunt called her Madam.

Seokyung shook his head quickly. He doesn't even have Hwan's cell phone number.

"Master is like that, madam. Please understand."

Seokyung nodded with a smile on her lips. His life is not always easy. Seokyung was used to the difficulties. Waiting for someone is nothing to him.

Seokyung wakes up in the middle of the night. He felt the table beside the bed to turn on the lights. Throat's dry. He got off the bed and went to the kitchen. Seokyung took the water available on the dining table. His gaze glanced far out of the kitchen window.

The sound of the door opening blew away Seokyung's daydream. Someone entered her thought. The sound of footsteps drew closer and at a glance he saw a shadow emerge from the dark living room.

Pyars. The glass in Seokyung's hand fell to the floor.

"Who's there.. Who's there?" Seokyung's body shook.

The shadow came closer and the lights on the entire first floor lit up. Includes kitchen lights and other places that are initially dark.

"It's me." Hwan's low voice sounded. "Sorry to surprise you." Added.

"You, you just got home?" Asked Seokyung who was not sad to walk closer and his bare feet stepped on the glass. "Aah!" He looked at his bleeding foot from a glass.

"Are you okay?" Hwan took wide steps then knelt down. "Your foot is bleeding, it must be treated immediately." Hwan lifts Seokyung's body and takes her upstairs.

"I'm fine." Hwan did not care about Seokyung's words.

"You just came. You must be tired, let me treat it myself."

"Let me help."

Seokyung looked at Hwan who was cleaning his wound with a grievous heart. Does he always come home late to avoid it? At least that's what Seokyung wants to ask.

But he closed his mouth shut. That's not his right to interfere. Their deal was crazy. Seokyung is also crazy for being willing to accept it. The deal hurt them. No husband in the world would sleep with his sister-in-law to have a child.

From the beginning everything was wrong.
