The Happy Ending Love Story

The Happy Ending Love Story
More Than Love, This Is Destiny #4

Theia dreaming. A very long dream.

Morning as usual, Theia started her morning activities. Today he is going to the forest to look for firewood and if lucky he can get mushrooms to sell to the market. He's got makeshift gear. Theia started her steps lightly. The path he took was different from his usual. Somehow Theia wants to go to a place she doesn't normally use to find firewood.

To Theia the forest is her best friend. Since childhood he has been friends with the forest from both his parents. After the departure of her parents due to severe illness, Theia began to explore the forest itself and now she poults every corner.

There was something strange about the path Theia took. The forest was usually quiet like never before. Here and there are scratches on the tree trunk, not deliberately made. The scratching is randomly there. Like getting hit by a sharp object. Then the ground and leaves around it were also scattered. Theia continued to trace the awkwardness until she reached the bottom edge of a ravine. Heads up. If you go up and walk straight there is a road that can be used to get to Cashlax, the capital of the northern region.

Theia was silent for a moment, she crouched down and her hand picked up a strange-looking leaf. There's a blood patch. Theia looked around again. There was a lot of blood around him. He got up and followed the blood. They form a special path. Theia became wary, it could be that it was a ferocious beast. He immediately took out something he could use for self-protection.

"Geez!" Theia let out a small cry as she looked at the body covered in blood.

It was a human not a beast. Seemed very badly injured from the amount of blood around him. Theia immediately approached him and checked his pulse. Still feeling but very weak. Theia tried to pat her cheek.

"Hey, can you hear me?" There's no answer.

Theia painstakingly lifted the body up and leaned it against the chopping rod. He picked up the water bottle he was carrying then moistened his lips slightly. Still no reaction. Theia decided to take him home and save him. That was the meeting Theia had with her, the Arei she knew, but in fact she was Ares, Duke Ares Osbern. Owners of a vast land called the northern region of Osbernus.

The train continues to move south and then turns to the middle. There were two men in it and one woman on the lap of one of them. Silent car. Only the sound of wheels and horse legs was heard. One of them did not escape looking at the unconscious woman.

"How long are we gonna be?" Ares asked in a cold voice.

"Before the sun sets Your Majesty." Answer Duke Osbern's chivalric chief, Rolex Herba.

Ares nodded. If he used a horse it would be faster than a carriage however there was someone he had to take with him and using a horse was not a good idea. He could have been hurt. Ares could only accept this situation. Impatiently Ares clenched his hands tightly. If only he had come sooner.

A large house was seen in the darkness. The black iron gate with the bear symbol imprinted there looked sturdy. When the watchman in the tower saw a car troupe with the same symbol imprinted on his uniform immediately he sounded the sign.

Boongg!

Gate is open. The group rushed in and the dark house instantly became light. All the lights are on. It beats the morning. The butler and a few servants lined up neatly in front waiting for the carriage to come.

As the train approached and stopped right at the entrance, the anticipated person exited from inside the carriage. Everyone lowered their heads, greeting their master.

"You have come, Your Majesty." Said the butler.

"Doctor?"

"They're waiting inside." Answer the butler back down.

The line of servants immediately split to give their master access in. The servants and some knights followed Ares. No one asked who his master had brought and why his master had come home all of a sudden. His master who had been staying in the Imperial Capital had surprisingly sent out a message that he would come before night and give the order to gather the doctors in his territory.

The door to the room is open. Some people in white clothes stood up.

"Greetings to His Majesty Duke Osbern." Say them in unison.

Ares doesn't care about their greetings. He continued walking then laid Theia's body.

"There's something you have to do." Ares directed his gaze at Theia who was still fainting.

One of the docents approached. Before touching Theia, the doctor asked for permission first and Ares nodded.

"May I know what happened to this lady Your Majesty?" Ask the doctor while touching Theia's hand, looking for her pulse and feeling it.

"It's weak, I think he fainted from shock." The doctor stood up. "Help me to check on this lady." Talk to the doctor to his other partner.

Ares retreats to give Theia doctors access. The door of the room was left open, there were servants and knights lined up ready to wait for Ares' command.

Ares is not alone in the room, there is also a Rolex who is also his adjutant. He was as agitated as Ares. He could not imagine what would happen if the woman being examined by the doctor was in trouble. His life and the knights will definitely be in trouble as well. But there was little relief from hearing the doctor's explanation.

"Is he okay?" Ask Ares.

"Yes, Your Majesty, the lady just fainted from shock." Obviously the doctor again.

"But he's been unconscious all day."

"One's body is different, Your Majesty. There are special bodies that need a longer recovery."

Ares nodded. "I hope he's okay."

The doctor nodded then gave orders to other doctors and nurses especially the female ones to reach out to Theia's body. The blanket that wrapped around his body was opened and taken away.

"Oh my God!" There was a scream from one of the nurses. She was the nurse who took the blanket from Theia's body. His hands trembled until he dropped the blanket.

Bloods. There was blood on Theia's blanket and dress. Not just a little but a lot of blood.

"What's going on?" Ask Ares.

No one answered. All the doctors and nurses approached Theia's body. They looked agitated and panicked. One doctor soon approached Ares and Rolex.

"Your Majesty please wait outside." They led Ares and Rolex to the door.

"What's going on?"

No one answered anymore.

"I need to know what's going on!" Ares' voice rumbled and everyone shuddered in horror.

"Something's happened." Answer the doctor with a trembling body.

Ares frowned. He should know what's going on. His body does not budge.

"Quick get a towel and water, warm water." One of the doctors gave the order. A few nurses rushed out and asked the butler at the door. The butler gave orders to several people to help the nurses.

"Your Majesty, there is no more time, please wait outside." Call doctor. But Ares remained silent. Not moving. His eyes looked at the doctor. Noiseless everyone knows what Ares wants.

"Something happened to miss." The doctor said, hesitatingly continuing. After a short silence, the doctor opened his mouth.

"It looks like the lady is pregnant and there's bleeding." Even though the doctor's voice was shrill everyone there could hear it. There were shocked faces everywhere, including the people outside the door.

"We're still checking on him, Your Majesty. Please wait outside."

The Osbern mansion was hit by a storm.
