The Guardian: Legend of Leo

The Guardian: Legend of Leo
Ch.64 The Actual Battle II

"I'm sorry I thought I heard something wrong, did I really not hear wrong?" The soldier tried to confirm the last thing he heard from Leo.

"Yes, you're not wrong. I'm not a noble, I'm just a passer-by."

The soldier tried to open his mouth but no words came out.

Leo sighed, the news of him being a noble might have already spread among the soldiers, there was nothing he could do about it.

"Then, what can I do for you now? Is there anything I can do to repay your kindness?"

Leo nodded, he expressed his wish without hiding anything.

"I need help finding your leader, where are your Generals and Commanders? I have something to discuss with them."

The soldier then rose from his position, occasionally looking towards Leo he showed the way to where the leaders of the army were and rested.

"Greet the leaders, I brought a guest here. I hope my stupidity this time can be forgiven." The soldier bowed his head to the Generals and Commanders there.

One of the Commanders there seemed to dislike him and sneered at him, "Don't you know this is irreverence? How can you stay calm like that after being disrespectful to your boss?".

"You're right, how could this lowly warrior bring this unknown and shabby man here? What was your courage to bring him here?".

The Generals and Commanders there became boisterous, almost everyone sneered then insulted Leo and the soldier who took him. Almost all.

"Wait, haven't we met before, sir? It's a shock that this soldier brought you here."

The sound came from the back of the General and the Commander who were there. The light, smooth and soft voice was familiar to Leo's ears.

"What brings you here, Mr. Guardians?"

After blurting out the sentence, the appearance of the person saying the words was finally seen.

A young Noble with a thin smile and a friendly gaze was calling out bad memories for Leo.

A cunning nobleman who is greedy for everything and puts a mask on his face, baron Luise.

"For so long as I don't see each other, I think you'll be in a comfortable place and away from the battle, I seem to underestimate you a little bit." Leo answered cynically, while the nobles who had sneered at him became silent and mute.

"You're too honest for a Guardians, don't they always look as friendly and kind as they are ... Oho! I remember, Hero?" said baron Luise with her widening smile.

Leo squinted his eyes while the soldier who had accompanied him felt uneasy upon seeing the baron.

Thanks to his words, the baron's friendly expression slowly began to darken. He began to show his real skin.

"Only a Guardians but already this arrogant? What if you are a duke or descendant of the King? I'm sure you won't have manners" the baron squinted his eyes.

Leo was about to give him a little warning before something unexpected happened.

Bumm!

A huge explosion occurred in the middle of the army tent, the pending war began calling for a wave of both.

***

The Guardians had rested for a moment after the battle, they had spent almost half of their aura in the battle before.

Taurus and Scorpio are one of the worst.

Their aura was not even more than a quarter and they were also physically exhausted.

"Drink, you need to rest right now. Don't worry about us, we can take care of ourselves." said Aries when visiting his best friend.

He handed over a bag of water but Taurus refused it no matter how much he gave his best friend.

Aries sighed, the war this time was quite heavy and different from usual. Their opponents this time were no ordinary people. Among them Taurus is the one who carries the heaviest burden, so he feels a little sorry for his best friend.

"Taurus, you need to rest. We tida—"

Bumm!

The second round of the war is already ringing!
