Ch.21 Chicken Noodles

The atmosphere of the village looks quite calm, with the expanse of rice fields that are already green and look ready to be harvested.

In the crowd of the village Leo was looking for food accompanied by Ariel who always followed him wherever the young man went.

He has been around for a long time but has not found a food seller or restaurant.

Leo continued to surround the village with Ariel and walked deeper into the village that is quite spacious.

After a long walk, Leo and Ariel find a food vendor in the village. They quickly entered and sat down at the table in the middle of the room.

"Ariel, which one do you want?"

Leo asked after looking at the available menu, he did not know the taste of the girl so he asked her.

"I want something like yours"

Leo closed the menu before ordering two equal meals.

"I want two large portions of chicken noodles. Oh can you add a little soy sauce in it?"

"All right, sir."

Ariel looked at the young man's astonishment, he didn't expect from all the menus, the young man would choose Chicken noodles.

"Why do you see me like that? Chicken noodles are delicious, I like them a lot."

The young man looked impatiently waiting for his order and waited enthusiastically.

Ariel laughed at the young man. Before, he had never once seen an expression like this on Leo's face.

After a while, their dishes finally arrived.

"Two large portions of chicken noodles, with additional soy sauce in them are ready! Please enjoy" The waiter who delivered Leo's order smiled cutely at Leo's child-like attitude.

Leo looked more enthusiastic and immediately ate the dish.

Ariel smiled amusedly, holding back her laughter. He never expected the young man who was always calm and quiet in front of him would lose his composure in front of a serving of chicken noodles.

Intrigued by the look on Leo's face that seemed to enjoy the food, Ariel tried to taste her chicken noodles.

The instant gratification felt on the girl's tongue, she never expected that the large portion of Chicken Noodles plus a little soy sauce could taste as good as this.

"Hows it? Delicious right? I always eat it like that, I feel the amount of soy sauce given before is always less, so I more often add soy sauce to taste more delicious"

Ariel only smiled warmly before continuing to eat her dish, she never expected that the young man before her would become a little more familiar with her through a serving of Chicken Noodles.

Leo and Ariel step out of the dining room.

Seen a satisfied expression on the young man's face, while Ariel only smiled funny looking at the young man's face.

"Ah, it's getting dark"

Leo looked around, it was getting dark because they were wasting more time looking for food vendors than enjoying the dishes.

"Are you satisfied with the food?"

"Yes, but I'm more satisfied when I see your funny expression"

Ariel just laughed amusedly afterwards. And Leo only paid attention to the girl.

I don't know when the two have been so close.

Leo smiled gently as he looked at the sky.

"Rose, how are you there?"

Leo closed his eyes before walking back home to the inn they had rented previously.

It was already night time when Leo and Ariel were already halfway back to the inn.

Unlike the main area of the village, the place they passed by now felt very quiet and was still surrounded by forest.

Leo felt a dangerous air in him, but he did not care about the presence.

"Ariel don't stay away from me"

Leo pulled the girl's hand and brought her closer to the girl.

Ariel felt a little confused by Leo's attitude and simply obeyed the young man's request.

"What's Leo?"

Ariel looked at the change in Leo's expression, and saw that the young man was already in a state of alert now.

Not far from Leo's location, two young girls were walking home.

It is seen that they are very familiar with each other and can be guessed the relationship of the two is brother and sister.

They initially joked with laughter while passing through the village plantation forest.

They just kept laughing and walking without realizing that there was danger lurking around them.

"Ara, do you really want to be asked to date this guy? though you know how bad he's been here"

One girl laughed at the curses of the other girl who was called with Ara.

"I just didn't know he was the guy you were talking about. His name is a little different from what you told me."

The girl called Ara showed a sad expression of being embarrassed by her choice of accepting the invitation of the young man she had just met before.

"Arlina! Stop your laughter, it's not funny you know!"

Ara looked sad to hear Arlina who did not stop laughing beside her.

Amidst Arlina's laughter, Ara saw a black shadow moving at high speed.

"Ofri!"

Ara pointed in the direction where she saw the shadow.

"What?"

Arlina just stared at her confused sister.

"That's where I saw something! I'm not lying! I really saw something there!"

Arlina looked back at the girl's astonishment before uttering that she might have been wrongly looking.

"No! I really saw something there, I'm serious!"

Arlina frowned, though,

"Here we go, we better keep going. I'm afraid we'll meet some bad guys later"

Ara agreed to her brother's words and sped up her movements while looking at the place where she saw the black shadow.

As Ara looked towards the spot the black shadow was again visible, not just one, this time the shadow was seen more and was seen approaching towards them.

"Arlina! It!"

Ara panicked when she saw the shadow now blatantly hunting them both.

"Run! Ara run!"

Panicking, they ran away from the shadow.

The shadow was also seen moving after them at high speed.

The two could only run desperately as the shadow chased after them, the distance between them also thinning over time.

"Ara, run! Quickly ask Mr Capricorn for help!"

Arlina desperately told her sister to keep running, while her legs were already very heavy and her breathing felt very heavy and began to falter.

Ara obeyed the orders of her brother without thinking anymore, now she just wants to continue to live longer with her brother.

"Ofrienne..."

Ara was silent to see her brother now surrounded by dozens of black shadows.

Arlina was finally able to clearly see the original form of the black shadow, the shadow was none other than Ashura who had a tiger-like form, with very sharp short fangs and flaming purple eyes.

Arlina fell to her knees as the dozens of Ashura were now surrounding her and glancing towards her sister.

With a desperate smile on her face, Arlina closed her eyes and resignedly accepted the attack from the dozens of Ashura.

Just before the claw of one of Ashura hit the girl's body, a sword covered in flames slashed down quickly on the claw and separated it from Ashura's front leg.

Arlina opened her eyes again and saw a young man standing straight in front of her with a sword and a girl in his arms.
