The Guardian: Legend of Leo

Ch.18 Night Full of Stars

The Hall of Elders, in a space occupied by Leo.

It had been three days since the last battle at Breatanea.

Seen 3 middle people take turns to look after and care for the young man, the three are none other than Taurus, Ariel, and Aries.

They are deeply indebted to Leo.

Taurus and Aries feel indebted to Leo, while Ariel feels indebted to Leo because the young man has saved her brother.

Without her brother there would be no one in the world to return to.

The three took turns preparing Leo's needs, starting from Taurus who routinely put a cloth moistened with warm water to the young man's head, Aries who continued to replace the water with a cleaner, cleaner one, and Ariel kept warming the water for the young man.

The three of them continued to do so without complaining and felt burdened in the slightest.

After sleeping for a long time Leo finally opened his eyes. A warm feeling flowed from his forehead as his five senses resumed functioning.

"I where?"

Leo tried to get up from his position, a wet cloth fell from his head as he sat down and hit the blanket that wrapped the young man warm.

Leo then smiled warmly, it had been quite a while since he had been treated with such sincerity.

The young man spread his gaze and found a blond girl sleeping in a sitting position and leaning half her body right beside the young man's bed.

Feeling that he had rested long enough and was able to return to walking the young man decided to get off his bed before the hand of a girl pulled the weak collar of clothes belonging to the young man.

Leo looked towards the girl who pulled her collar. The girl was still half-conscious with a sleepy expression before smiling gently towards Leo.

"Where are you going? You just woke up, you better get back to rest and continue with your intentions tomorrow."

The girl smiled gently and asked Leo to postpone her wish in a soothing tone.

"I've had enough rest, my body feels stiff. I have to move it or I'll have a hard time later, if you're still sleepy you better get back to rest. This time sleep right on that bed."

The day was still very dark when Leo woke up from his sleep, even the sound of owls and night insects still filled the silence of the night.

The girl simply stroked her eyes and shook her head,

"No, I'll come with you. I want to keep an eye on you practicing, I won't be able to sleep quietly if something happens to you."

The nature of the girl makes Leo frown, he does not know what happened to the girl when she was asleep.

Leo ignored the girl and let her follow her out of the room.

Leo stepped out of the room, quickly greeted by the cold night wind and pierced into the young man's body, but Leo had no problem with the temperature that pierced his body, instead, he was more worried about the girl who had been following him since.

"You're okay? It's so cold outside you better go back inside."

Leo asks the girl back subtly, thinking it is not good for a girl like Ariel to be hit by a very cold night breeze.

The girl shook her head slowly and continued to follow Leo wherever he went. Leo felt increasingly strange with the girl, but he did not feel disturbed in the slightest he just felt quite strange with the change in attitude of the girl who became more sticky to him when compared to the previous time.

Leo lifted a lantern on the wall of the building next to him. He quickly lit the lantern fire and made it a streetlight.

The girl nodded softly in response to the young man's request before stepping very close to Leo's side. Being near Leo made the girl not feel the slightest cold of the night wind and was replaced by a sense of warmth that calmed the girl, she quickly embraced the young man's hand.

Leo looked back at the girl's astonishment.

"It's not this close either, and you don't have to be like this you know"

Leo beckoned the girl to put some distance between them, but the gesture was not revealed at all by the girl. Leo shook his head before continuing his steps towards the Hall of Heaven to train and stretch his muscles.

In the darkness of the night Leo trained with Ariel sitting not far behind him.

Breatanea, the city famous for its tourism has now been removed from the royal map, no one expected that the city would disappear overnight due to the previous incident.

Now only the remaining soldiers were assigned to evacuate and bury the bodies of the fallen soldiers, who were there.

"Hey, do you know the rumors I heard before? Some say there's a ghost near here of an old man who was hit by a building as he was about to evacuate himself, hopefully we don't meet him."

A soldier creeped in fear as he told the thing he had heard to a colleague beside him.

"Stop that, it's midnight you know! in my home country, if you tell me something bad in the middle of the night, it could happen!"

The soldier who was the first soldier's colleague whispered loudly, he was disturbed by the story of his friend who was very not on time.

They were assigned to evacuate the victims around the ruins near the dock. From what they heard, the situation here is worse than other places because it is suspected to be the center of the battle that occurred before.

The two soldiers continued their search by dismantling the ruins around the place.

At first everything went smoothly until an enormous and long black shadow shot rapidly into the sky and made one of them go silent full of fear, his companion, who was astonished by his attitude, asked what had happened before he shakily pointed up.

An extremely large and long black shadow was seen hovering for a moment before flying darted and disappeared without leaving a trace.

The two who were already frightened then ran unsteadily as the shadow disappeared from their sight, a loud scream quickly filling the silence of the night around the ruins of the city.

The Hall of Heaven at midnight,

A young man was seen training his martial movements, each movement felt firm and strong without showing any gaps for his enemy to reply.

The young man was not alone, a sweet girl was seen accompanying him from a distance not too far away with him.

The girl appeared to be still sleepy and several times almost asleep when the young man trained his movements without paying attention to the girl.

The young man stopped his movement when he realized that the girl was already on the verge, he quickly sat down next to the girl and leaned her head on his shoulder. The sweet girl was already very exhausted and only according to when her head was leaned against the shoulder of the young man, she quickly fell asleep beside the young man.

The young man only smiled briefly at the look on the girl's face that looked calm in her sleep. Drowsiness quickly spread to the young man, before he realized he had fallen asleep with the girl under a night sky full of stars.
