The Guardian: Legend of Leo

Ch.48 City Burgeyns

Burgeyns was a trading town located quite far east of Bargh.

Unlike the city of Bargh which is always covered with snow, the city is always covered with warm sunlight and almost no other season than summer.

With buildings made of stone and wood, and many trading activities in it, this city is also more often called the City of Heaven.

This is because among the many cities that are safe from Ashura attacks, this city is the least recorded attack in history.

Legend has it that Ashura could even live peacefully with humans here, until at some point, something turned them into the beast they are today.

A few miles away from the town of Burgeyns, Leo and Ariel are on their way to the town.

While looking at the scenery around and Ariel who was asleep with Lily, Leo asked something that he had been holding back from the beginning to the Beast.

"Lion, do you mind answering my question?"

The lion moved his eyes towards the young man, before finally nodding softly in response to Leo's question.

"What do you want to ask?" the Lion replied with a heavy voice.

Leo immediately conveyed his question while compiling what he would ask afterwards.

"Before, when I started to lose control, what happened to you? And what about the villagers?" leo said as he lowered his head, he knew the great damage done in the village must be related to him.

The lion breathed heavily, knowing that this young man would ask about this one day, he told him what he knew before losing consciousness while still in the village.

"All I know is, we fight and I lose. I never thought you'd have that power before."

Leo lowered his head, "Then what happened to the villagers?"

Hearing this, Leo felt more and more guilty about what he did. But anyway he can't do anything.

What has happened cannot be repeated, the dead cannot be turned on.

"Okay, last question. Why are you in Bargh town? What brings you there?"

The lion beast went silent after hearing Leo's question, he had enough trouble explaining how he could end up in the city.

"I was brought in by an old friend, I didn't think he was here either. And just a warning to you, I have a hunch that not only are we here, you better speed up your training and become stronger as soon as possible. One of us was very happy to disturb the balance."

Leo was speechless to hear this, according to him the Lion before him was no weaker than a Legend in his world, perhaps even surpassing the Legends.

Hearing that something could upset the balance of the world, he felt he had to strengthen himself as soon as possible.

Moments later, they finally arrived near the city gate. Not wanting to look for a commotion, Leo asked the Beast to change form.

"Before that, let's wake them up. After that we just got in."
