Ashura, Ancient Creatures that appear mysteriously and have forms that resemble predatory animals such as wolves, bears, tigers, lions, and other predators.
Ashura has a much larger size and high intelligence compared to animals in general.
With great strength with him Ashura brought destruction to what was around him.
Centuries of Ashura brought destruction to mankind and caused prolonged misery, with countless casualties, making the name Ashura feared by many.
Until finally came the people who could fight them and maintain peace in the region where they exist to defend the region.
These people were later called Guardians guardians of mankind, the epitome of the peace and courage of mankind. The last hope of mankind against its extinction.
~•~
In a forbidden forest on the outskirts of Sodcha, a pair of young men ran as fast as they could with hunting breath.
Seen a girl with long black hair, was running with a young man who had a pretty handsome face.
With slightly more striking brown hair, light green eyes, and slightly dark gazes, the two of them seemed to be in a hurry to avoid something behind them.
The girl's breathing was heard starting to falter, "Leo wait .. "the girl said as she tried to keep running with the young man in front of her.
His breathing was already irregular and his body was too tired after running with all his might nonstop.
He could not stop because his hands were held tightly by the young man, and there was another reason why they had to run as fast as possible behind him.
"Leo!" The girl's breathing grew stifling, "I'm not strong anymore..." The girl let go of her hand.
"Come Rose! They're close. All right then get on my shoulders quick!" Said Leo before turning his face towards Rose.
They were Rose and Leo, lovers who happened to be training in the forest.
Both of them were disciples of a former General of the Royal Army, both of whom also had their own unique talents in battle martial arts.
"Yes... Alright!" Rose rushed up to Leo's back as the young man lowered his body.
Rose could see that Leo was exhausted but she kept covering him with a light smile on her face.
"Alright then hold on tight! We're going to take a long road!"
"Yes, hurry up Leo they're close!"
Leo ran with all his might, away from the creatures that were getting closer to them. His breathing is hunting, his condition is not much different from Rose who is currently on his back.
"My vision is starting to fade! I can't fall here, at least until Rose is safe" Leo turned his eyes toward Rose.
A few moments later, Leo's body was unable to comply with his wishes, they fell just a few hundred meters away from the creature that was chasing them.
"Rose, are you okay?! Looks like we can't go anywhere anymore. We're surrounded."
Rose only looks at Leo with a guilty look, if he doesn't slow Leo down maybe their situation won't be what it is now, at least for Leo.
"Rose? Hey answer! We can't just shut up."
Rose shed her tears, she had not expected that their supposedly harmless training would become what it is now, supposedly the edge of the Forbidden Forest was not inhabited by many Ashura-type Beasts, she had not expected, but for some reason now they were even chased by dozens of Ashura.
The dozens of Ashura quickly surrounded them, giving them no escape.
Leo pulled out his sword preparing to attack Ashura who was about to attack them.
The Ashura-type Beast they were fighting resembled a wolf, with large fangs and fiery red eyes, the Ashuras appear to be preparing to lash out at Leo and Rose who are exhausted and not in top shape to fight.
One Ashura starts the movement by leaping at Leo, quickly Leo swings his sword towards that Ashura.
"Damn it, feel it!" The whirlpool of flames whirled like a crescent moon after Leo slashed at the Ashura with his sword.
With just one strike Ashura's head was already separated from his body and slowly burned to ashes.
Seeing his partner killed in one attack, Ashura the other tried to attack with numbers to weaken Leo's power which was already almost at its limit.
One by one Ashura lunges at Leo, forcing Leo to slash at them with various attacks that look like fiery and smoldering dances.
One by one Ashura's corpses fell, but there was no sign of the creatures giving up.
After more than twenty Ashura lashed at Leo, the young man lost his balance and used his sword to support his body which was no longer able to stand.
Without wasting this opportunity, the Ashuras quickly tried to hit Leo from various directions.
Seeing this Rose stood up and used her remaining energy to help Leo, Rose had already predicted this so she decided to save and replenish her power, he said,
So that when Leo is completely exhausted, he can protect Leo with the rest of his strength.
"You guys tried to hurt him? Get past my sword!" Rose slashed her sword, though,
Rose's slash produced an extremely thin sharp wind energy, in contrast to Leo whose movements were sharp and firm, every movement of Rose was extremely smooth and gentle, in contrast to Leo's, so it looks like someone who is dancing surrounded by beautiful roses.
The Ashura did not stop attacking Rose until the girl finally began to lose her balance because the energy in her body was almost exhausted.
Seeing that Rose had almost exhausted all his strength, Leo stood up again and swung his sword.
"Hmmm!" Leo snorted as he swung his sword. After resting for a moment, his strength filled up slightly and made him able to swing his sword once more.
While continuing to attack his opponents quickly, Leo finally took the horses ready.
"Actually I don't want to do this, but what's okay, you're forcing me." A huge fireball was created at the tip of Leo's sword, The fireball grew to resemble a hot, burning sun, burning everything in its attack area.
"Let me help!" Rose also took a similar position and gathered some sort of light at the tip of her sword.
The light slowly turned into a whirlwind that helped spread Leo's fireball attack, after the two were united, the wind vortex Rose absorbed the fire from the fireball belonging to Leo who was in the middle of the vortex so as to burn whatever was passed by the fire.
In an instant, there were no more wolves in sight.
"It looks like today is our lucky day" Leo dropped his sword due to exhaustion.
Rose also lost her balance and almost fell if no Leo held her back at the time, smiling with relief, the two then fell together.
They both chose to rest before returning to the city of Sodcha.
However, just as Leo was about to sit down, suddenly an Ashura that was much larger than the one they had faced before appeared and immediately jumped towards Leo.
His attack was so fast, that Leo tried to restrain him with his sword.
Ashura's claws met with Leo's sword, causing cracking sounds and light airwaves around it.
Ashura jumps back, while Leo loses his balance and falls back. Leo saw the sword he was holding, saw that the sword had been destroyed, leaving only the handle.
Seeing Leo already unable to resist his attack, Ashura jumped back, Leo who had no time to react then could only be silent.
Time stopped, Leo felt it was time. Smiling on his arrogant face, maybe this was really his last time, at least he hoped Rose could save himself thanks to his sacrifice.
But that's just his hope. In that frozen time, Rose had already advanced before Leo.
"Bress... " Blood flowed from Rose's chest, her face turned pale in no time, her body falling down after receiving a fairly fatal attack on the chest.
Leo hurriedly caught Rose's body. His breathing was weak as if it could disappear at any moment, Leo looked at his lover's face.
Rose became increasingly pale, her breathing also getting weaker over time, while looking at Leo's face, Rose smiled warmly at her lover.
"Leo .." said Rose in a weak voice, "Don't forget our promise..."
Moments later, the atmosphere became silent, no more breath sounds were heard from Rose, Hugging Rose's body, Leo evaporated his emotions.
Tears flowed from Leo's cheeks, he regretted not leaving immediately when he managed to finish off the smaller Ashura along with Rose. Now the Rose he loved had left him along with their expectations.
The sound of the young man's cry was heard echoing accompanied by rain that began to pour down on the earth.
Without the young man realizing it, a golden-coloured aura slowly shone from his body. This aura is also known as the "Aura of Resurrection" because this Aura symbolizes the election of someone to become a Guardians.
With Rose in his arms Leo felt again filled with strength that even far exceeded his previous strength
~•~
Ashura who killed Rose did not immediately jump when she saw the golden light pillar that suddenly appeared from the young man.
After the light faded, the young man's figure was finally seen returning.
His face looked gloomy, with empty eyes as if devoid of a soul. Only, there was something else that made Ashura's fur stand up.
"Rose, you've always said we'll awaken the Aura of Resurrection together, but it seems that it's already impossible for now..."
The flames slowly emerged from Leo's body, as if opposing the flames it was burning as the rain was pouring more and more down to earth.
Leo looked towards that Ashura with a cold and murderous gaze that felt thick.
Instantly the temperature around them rose hotter even though the rain was pouring relentlessly.
"It's all because of you." Leo looked at the Ashura coldly.
"Haa. this sucks." Leo then raised his hand.
A small fireball appeared in his hand, the heat produced by the fireball was not playful even able to evaporate the falling rain water instantly.
feeling himself in danger, Ashura, who had been watching Leo, tried to escape.
"After everything is new now you want to go? Oi, oi, how could that be."
Leo threw the fireball towards Ashura who ran as fast as he could away from him.
Within a few seconds, the fireball pierced through Ashura's stomach, and enlarged it until it finally produced a huge explosion.
The explosion grew bigger, even destroying the forest around them.
Smoke billowed and flames lit up everywhere, only a young man sat there staring at the body of the girl.
"Ah.. Rose, I think I'll catch up with you." A smile of regret was seen on his face. Her tears dripped along with the rain that never stopped.
The golden light on his body disappeared completely, along with the dimness of the light, the sound of cracks was heard out of nowhere in the young man's body.
Leo simply smiled before falling down and losing consciousness.
