The Guardian: Legend of Leo
Ch.36 Calm Before Storm

Bargh town, city trade area.

It is the warmest place in the city. This is because the place is indeed a 12-storey building that was deliberately built very widely and has ventilation that is adjusted to the outside temperature, so that the temperature inside the trading area is not affected by the temperature outside the building.

Inside the building itself, there were many people trading and shopping. They knew it was impossible to conduct any trade outside the building because the temperature and weather in the city were very unpredictable, coupled with bandits and robbers who often roamed near the city, making them reluctant to risk their lives just to shop and trade.

Among the crowd of people passing by, there was an old grandfather who was walking around looking for something.

He continued to search and tour the trading area before something caught his eye.

He stepped closer, it was nothing but a warm cup of coffee located on a table and was in one of the stalls in the trading area. With her clothes and appearance disheveled everyone who saw her would definitely think that she was a beggar who was looking for a place to beg.

As soon as the stall owner saw it, a cup made of ceramic floated into the grandfather's head,

"Hey! You are! Get away from there! You're just gonna disgust my buyers with that look of yours! Go quickly!" The owner of the stall called out loudly in a high tone to the grandfather.

The grandfather only looked at the owner of the stall with his displeased gaze, he realized that with his clothes like that everyone would immediately consider him a beggar, he was aware, or at the highest he will only be considered a vagrant.

The grandfather let out a sigh, he realized there was no point in getting angry at that person, after all before doing this, he had also prepared his mentality.

"There's no point getting angry now, I still have a task to do" the grandfather muttered softly before finally stepping away from the stall.

He went back around the trading area for a moment, before finally stepping out from there.

The cold immediately entered his body after a long time in the warm place.

As if unperturbed, he returned to his feet, there was nothing else on his mind but to leave there as soon as possible.

But, not having time to go too far, a young man came closer to him.

A cynical smile was engraved on the young man's face, the young man's intentions were clearly not good.

He got closer to the grandfather, while the grandfather just kept quiet and looked coldly at the young man.

Immediately he took out a small knife behind his back and pointed his knife at the grandfather.

The grandfather ignored him and resumed his steps, but once again the young man stopped his steps.

"Grandfather, stop first let's talk for a while I know you must be getting good stuff in there"

The young man's gaze and smile were clearly shown to demean the grandfather.

The grandfather again showed his cold gaze to the young man, but the young man even demeaned him more.

"Oh, what is this? Do you think I'm afraid of your gaze? You're too demeaning to me" said the young man, mocking the grandfather.

"What do you want, if you try to blackmail me it's better to leave, or you'll never get that chance again"

The grandfather had started to run out of patience, so without realizing it, he said the sentence with a cold gaze and voice.

"Oh yeah? Let's see what you can do with that skinny body of yours!"

Quickly, the young man waved his knife at the grandfather.

The grandfather simply kept silent while giving the young man one more chance.

"I can still be patient with you if you stop your attack right now, otherwise, don't blame me if I'm not being kind to you" The grandfather took three steps back from where he stood before, and looked coldly at the young man.

A cold chill soon overflowed from the grandfather, but the young man seemed to not care and went back to pursue the grandfather.

Running out of patience, the grandfather disappeared from the young man's sight and immediately moved behind him.

The young man could not see the movements of the grandfather, and in a split second, blood flowed from his neck and immediately flowed profusely a moment later.

The grandfather looked back at the young man's body, and he quickly moved it to a place that many could not see.

The traces of blood that had previously been created were then immediately covered back by the swiftness of the falling snow.

In a short time, the scene there returned to normal as if nothing had changed before.

Meanwhile, in the tent which was slightly to the north of the city, the situation did not go so well.

One of the men ordered to inspect the interior of the city was found lifeless.

This made the man in the wolf fur clothing become angry and ran out of patience.

"What the hell with this job! You know that, if we fail to carry out this task, we won't even be able to survive the old man's rampage! But look at your work?" The man said in a loud voice, even his voice was heard up to several meters away from the tent he was in.

His subordinates just bowed and listened to the man's tantrum, they realized, what the man said was not wrong.

Perhaps if the man went berserk, there would still be some people who escaped his rampage, but if the old geezer that man mentioned went berserk then not a single person could escape from it.

"Argh! I don't know anymore! We don't have much time left, immediately gather the troops and prepare to attack the city! We should bet on this occasion, hoping that we get lucky this time!" The man shouted loudly giving orders to his men.

Shortly after his men dispersed and obeyed his orders, he dropped his body onto the bed that was inside the tent.

The intense throbbing pain in the man's head, doubtful and agitated, he tried to close his eyes and rest before facing the battle that was already before his eyes.

Once again, he did not realize that the dragon that had previously been watching him, had still not left him and was hiding not far from the man.
