Chapter 89

Two Weeks Later

"Hurry Anggi!" Excited Rashaad who was waiting for Anggi to pack.

"You're a puffer anyway? Who would change flight hours without telling me? I'll tell you that we leave at night instead of this day!". Anggi said he did not want to lose while his hand was busy closing his suitcase.

"I just think it's better we get to midnight. I have a meeting in the morning. It's really time for me to get ready if we land two hours before I meet"

"You sure you're all?" Rashaad asked.

Anggi. "I guess already. Come on!"

Rashaad grabbed Anggi's suitcase and pushed her. Both of them came out of Anggi's apartment and immediately headed to the car that was waiting from earlier. Didn't waste long on the car driving to the airport.

Upon arrival at the airport, as usual Rashaad was welcomed by two people who are pilots and co-pilots complete with 2 flight attendants who will serve Rashaad and Anggi throughout the flight.

Anggi followed Rashaad's steps towards his private jet. There is no more admiration for Anggi when riding a private jet. He was familiar and very ordinary as riding a commercial plane in general. It's just that Anggi feels it's more personal.

After sitting and waiting for takeoff, Anggi pulled out his phone from inside the bag. He raised his lips when he saw that there was no incoming notification. Anggi's face that was upset could not be separated from Rashaad's vision to make the man smile thinly.

"Basic women. Everywhere all the same. Rather than you upset yourself waiting for a phone call or message, what's wrong with calling first? It's so good to torture myself". Rashaad Cibir.

"She must be so busy that she hasn't contacted me yet"

Rashaad flicked his hand into the air. "That's it.. The man is my good business partner and the woman is my ex-fiancee. Don't you two think about how I feel, huh?"

"Rashzad... Stop kidding..." Anggi turned his face to the window of the plane.

Rashaad now looked at Anggi very seriously. "I'm surprised at you. Why are you still fortifying yourself? Call him, Anggi. Know it? This time let go of your feelings well for her. You don't have to be afraid! There's nothing blocking you two right now". Rashaad advised.

Anggi. "You're right". Anggi tapped on his phone screen until it lit up and pressed Reynald's number. There was a connecting tone but there was no answer until Anggi finally turned off the phone connection and decided to send a short message.

Rey's...Rashaad and I changed the flight hours. We will leave now and possibly until Jakarta at midnight.

Send! The message was sent and Anggi put his phone back in his small bag.

8 Hours Later

The plane carrying Anggi and Rashaad to Jakarta just landed perfectly on the runway of Soekarno Hatta airport. After Rashaad asked his private jet crew to go to rest at the hotel, Rashaad and Anggi immediately headed to the pick-up point.

"Miss Anggi!" An exclaimed a man while waving his hand.

Anggi and Rashaad looked at each other. "I think Reynald's assistant picked us up. Turns out your father's driver" Rashaad said.

Anggi raises his shoulders. "I guess so too"

Both of them threw warm smiles at the driver. "Sorry to bother you to pick us up at night, sir" Sahut Anggi politely.

"Ah no hassle, Non. It's my job. Let's get in the car.. Let me just put the suitcase in the trunk" said the driver.

"We're going straight to the hotel?" Ask the driver.

"Yes, Sir. We'll just go straight to the hotel". Replied Rashaad who was nodded by the driver.

The streets of the Capital of these nights are of course deserted. Along the way Anggi just stared worriedly at his cellphone. Since noon Reynald has not even replied to his message let alone called him. Where's that guy? Anggi Mumbles.

He opened his small bag and took out a small black box. Anggi opened it and stared at a beautiful diamond ring. Anggi pulled the ring and turned it under the dim light of a night light that peered through the window all the way through the car.

Anggi then wears the diamond ring on his ring finger. I accepted your proposal, Rey... Sahut Anggi in his heart while staring at the ring that has been coiled on his finger.

Not felt, finally the car stopped in front of a magnificent hotel lobby. Anggi and Rashaad got out of the car and immediately stepped inside the hotel. Rashaad approached the receptionist and showed him a proof of hotel reservation listed in his email.2 different hotel rooms. The receptionist immediately processed it and gave Rashaad 2 access cards.

In the elevator Rashaad gave one access card to Anggi. "Rest". Anggi nodded without answering anything because his body was tired and his heart was not because Reynald never gave news.

Without wasting any time, Anggi immediately cleaned himself before going to bed. He changed all his clothes and chose to wear a burgundy satin pajama. Anggi glimpsed back at his phone and nil. There's nothing. Finally Anggi who was exhausted was slowly falling asleep.

Anggi blinked his eyes were disturbed by the sound of pounding on the door and the bell that rang continuously. He grabbed his phone and saw the time already showing at 2 am which means he just slept less than 2 hours!

"Hurry and get your jacket. We have to go now" Rashaad said.

"Let's explain. Now we must leave immediately" Timpal Renata who seemed to understand Anggi's confusion.

Anggi then turned to his suitcase and grabbed a sweater. He quickly wears it. His mind wondered why Rashaad and Renata had invited him to leave at midnight like this. Went where? Inner Anggi.

Soon the three headed for a famous Private Hospital. Anggi who just got off the car stood frozen. His mind wandered everywhere. His heart raged unabashed. He stared at Rashaad and Renata.

"Now tell me what are we here for? Who is sick? Is Jessy?!" Cecar Anggi was impatient.

Rashaad rubbed his face which looked furious. Renata grabs Anggi's arm while looking at her teary eyes.

"Not Jessy... But Reynald..." Renata said slowly until finally the woman could no longer hold back tears.

Tub struck by lightning, Anggi's whole body felt vibrating. He looked at Renata who was crying as much as he could and turned to look at Rashaad who was looking at him with a look that I don't know...

"Rey-Reynald's chat... He was in an accident on the way back to Jakarta" Renata said in between tears.

Anggi did not answer. Tears began to bathe his eyes.

"Better we go in first" Invite Rashaad who can still control emotions.

Anggi stepped quickly towards the operating room. Seen from a distance a man still wearing a work shirt was sitting waiting. Anggi ran small until he stopped right in front of a man who was none other than Andre.

Noticing the arrival of Anggi, Renata and Rashaad, Andre immediately stood up and stared at the three.

"How's it?" Ask Rashaad.

Andre shook his head slowly. The man's face was very upset and sad. "The injury is very bad. His car was thrown until it hit the concrete barrier of the highway. The team of doctors is trying their best" said Andre.

Anggi clenched his hands to his mouth. He shook his head in disbelief at what he had just heard. Anggi then hit Andre's chest repeatedly. "You lied, right? This isn't true, is it?!"

"Say that everything you said was a lie!!! Tell me!" Anggi shouted right in front of Andre. Seeing that Renata was crying. Rashaad then pulled Anggi who was still clutching Andre's shirt.

"He didn't say anything to me. He always said that every time he left. You must have lied to Andre.." Anggi stared at the nano.

Andre shed tears and immediately wiped them away trying to be strong. "Reynald had to attend a meeting in person with a client. It's beyond the schedule it should be. He insisted on finishing everything urgent so that when you're in Jakarta, he has plenty of time for you..."

"Renata and I have asked him to wear a driver. But Reynald says he's more free to drive himself. I think he'll stay overnight and come home tomorrow morning. But suddenly he called me when he was coming home tonight to Jakarta because you changed the flight schedule. He said he wanted to pick you up at the airport but......"

Andre did not continue his words and simply stared expectantly at the door of the operating room. Anggi's knees were so limp that Rashaad had to wet them to sit down.

Two hours later at exactly 4 a.m., the door of the operating room opened. Anggi, Renata, Rashaad and Andre soon approach a doctor. "How's doc?" Rashaad and Andre asked simultaneously.

The doctor sighed softly with a disappointed face. "We can't save him". Said the doctor slowly.

Renata cried loudly while covering her face. Rashaad and Andre rubbed their faces in disbelief. Only Anggi remained silent. His body shook violently. His fingers are cold. Anggi then quickly barged into the operating room regardless of the grills of Rashaad and Andre.

The doctor who had given news outside immediately instructed his team and the nurse to come out for a moment. Things like this are natural.

Anggi stared at Reynald's body, which was stiffened only covered by a dark green cloth. Anggi opened the end of the cloth that covered Reynald's face with a trembling hand until finally he could not hold back the tears when he saw Reynald's face full of wounds.

Anggi's gaze blurred due to the swift tears that flooded his face. Anggi touched the side of Reynald's face carefully. "Rey... Wake up... You're kidding, aren't you? I'm right here... I'm already here. Next to you.. Please stop your jokes, Rey...." Said Anggi in between his sobs.

Anggi looked at Reynald expectantly but of course there was no response. Anggi then showed a beautiful circular diamond ring on his ring finger towards Reynald.

"You see? This ring is already wrapped around my finger. That means I accepted your proposal. Let's get married...You promised to make me happy...You said there would only be smiles and laughter on my face... But look now.... You're making me cry.."

"please wake... Lookatme... Keep your promise" Anggi rubbed Reynad's face gently. Tears kept coming down to wet my face.

"I'm sorry it took me so long... I'm sorry if my attitude is sometimes outrageous, I... I'm....Hiiks.." Anggi hugged Reynald's body. Her tears fell down Reynald's face.

"I love you Reynald. Ilove you.. Really am. So stop your charade. Open your eyes!"

Anggi looked into Reynald's eyes which still closed their eyes perfectly without movement. Feeling frustrated, Anggi also shook Reynald's body.

"Wake Rey! Please wakeup! You can't be like this to me! No. gabe... Please wake!!!!!!"

Brak! Anggi also fainted without the power to withstand the sadness and shock that hit him suddenly.
