Reynald the CEO

Reynald the CEO
Chapter 57

The next day at exactly 10 am Anggi was standing right in front of a building. He looked at a magnificent skyscraper that stands in the central business district of the Capital City. Anggi circulated his gaze around and stared at another building that was caught by his eyes.

The building is only two blocks from where it is now. He smiled wryly as he remembered who the owner of the building was. Anggi tidied up a bit of his clothes and stepped into the lobby and passed through the security portal.

"Morning, Ma'am." Sapa Anggi after he was at the reception.

"I've made an appointment with the CEO here. Can you take me to her room?".

The receptionist looked at Anggi.

"Whose name are you?"

"People. Anggi Wibrata's".

The receptionist gave a small nod and immediately called someone who Anggi thought might be the CEO secretary he wanted to meet.

Before long the receptionist hung up her phone and looked at Anggi.

"Let me drive upstairs". Said the receptionist.

Anggi also followed the receptionist into the elevator until they reached the floor they were headed to the 50th floor. In front of the elevator door was already seen a young woman who in the taxi Anggi may be the same age as him.

"Thank you for delivering this lady". Said the young woman to the receptionist who immediately nodded and took his leave back to the lobby.

"Hello. I'm Anita. Let me take you to the CEO's room". The woman looked at Anggi.

"I'm Anggi". The words were echoed by Anita.

Both of them immediately walked through several enclosed rooms that Anggi believed might be the room of some of the company officials he was visiting at this time.

Anita is seen knocking slowly on a door and opening it slowly.

"Sir, your guest has arrived". Anita told someone in the room.

"alright. You told me to come in."

Anita turned to Anggi and opened the door wide after being given permission by the owner of the room. Anggi stepped slowly inside.

He met with a middle-aged man who he had not heard from again for a long time after the man's last visit to his house.

"Dad...." Sapa Anggi slowly looked at the father who was sitting dashingly behind his desk that looked magnificent.

Hendra looked at Anggi for a moment and took off his glasses. The middle-aged man then stood up from his throne and walked over to Anggi.

"sit". Hendra invited Anggi to sit on the sofa at the end of the room.

"What's the matter with you calling me? Didn't I say we don't have any more contact after you graduate?".

Anggi lowered his head. Nervousness suddenly enveloped him. He took a deep breath trying to gather courage.

"I-i..."

"I need your help, Dad". Anggi finally.

Hendra looks frowned. "My help? I don't think you have the right to ask me for help after I cut off your relationship with you. Don't you remember that?".

Anggi suddenly slumped from the sofa and sat down in front of Hendra. Both hands he held in front of his chest. Anggi's attitude like that certainly makes Hendra surprised.

"I beg Dad. I need your help one last time. I promise this is the last time I'll ask for your help. I won't bother you again after this". Anggi said while looking at his father.

Hendra was silent without saying a word.

Hendra looked at Anggi with a complicated look to explain. The middle-aged man let out his breath slowly.

"What do you need my help for?". Ask Hendra.

"I want to get as far away from this town as possible Dad. No. gabe.. I mean, I want to get out of this country and start a new life somewhere".

Hendra was quite surprised to hear Anggi's words. A lot of questions just popped into his mind.

"Are you avoiding someone?". Search Hendra.

Anggi kept silent and did not answer. He then lowered his head and wiped away a drop of tears that just fell onto his cheek.

"How do you expect me to help you, if you don't explain to me". Hendra.

Anggi was silent for a moment thinking from where he should explain to the father. Was it from the beginning of his introduction to Reynald? Or where? Anggi tried to string the right word for word to convey to the father.

Anggi exhaled a rough breath and looked at the father who had been staring at him waiting for him to explain the situation he was facing.

Slowly Anggi began to tell everything from the beginning. Everything He experienced until last night, everything He told his father without anyone to cover. He has no friends who can be made a place of sighing. He also did not have parents who could be made a shelter and ask for advice. But this time his mind was very dead-end and reckless running at the ayan in the hope that the man could help himself for the last time.

Anggi sighed and squeezed his skirt firmly not daring to look at Hendra after he finished he explained everything.

Silence was created in the room. There is no sound between the two. I heard breaths coming from Hendra.

"How can you expect me to believe your story? It's like a fairy tale in the daytime". Hendra.

Anggi then took out some photos of himself with Reynald and gave them to Hendra. Suddenly, the look on Hendra's face was surprised to see a photo of his daughter's togetherness with the young CEO.

"I love him so much, Dad. He's been very nice to me. Even he takes good care of me. She protected me, she was always present when I needed help, she accompanied me when I was lonely, she made me as the queen in her heart".

"But... The reality back just blew me away. If I was selfish, I might follow in the footsteps of my mother. Being the third person in a relationship. But I don't want to be like that, Dad."

"My heart... It hurts so bad. I felt like I wanted to get angry and yell at him if this was not fair to me. But I can't be that selfish, can I? I wish he hadn't hurt me, but in the end he hurt me even though I knew he didn't mean it. But this is so painful, Dad"

Anggi looked at the father with a pushy gaze as he vented all the flavors that were enveloping his heart at this moment. He wiped away the tears that were flowing down nonstop. For the first time in his life he cried in front of his father.

"Are you in need of someone who hurt you to come to you and say 'I hurt you and I'm sorry'?." Hendra asked while raising his eyebrows to look at Anggi.

"You can't expect anything from someone who has hurt you. He who hurt you cannot heal you. You're the one who needs to heal yourself".

"Don't you expect someone who breaks you to pieces to come to you with all those pieces and say 'I'll fix it'." Hendra rubbed his face slowly still staring at Anggi who was silent.

"You can't expect him to do that. If even that can be done, why should you choose that way? Remember, someone who has the power to destroy you and He uses that power, how can you believe that he can restore your heart completely?".

Anggi then winijs sniffling. This was the longest sentence he had heard from his father in his entire life.

Hendra just silently looked at Anggi. His mind wandered for decades. He did not expect the situation faced by his dark lover, the mother of Anggi in the past, even befalling his daughter as well.

But implied a sense of relief and pride in his heart when he found out if Anggi chose a different path from his late mother. At least Hendra knew very well that if Anggi followed his feelings for Reynald, the girl would only live a lot in agony.

Hendra leaned forward toward Anggi who was still sitting in a row and sobbing. Hendra then pulled Anggi's shoulder to immediately sit back on the sofa.

The middle-aged man looked at Anggi who was trying to ease his cries.

"Say.. What kind of help do you need? I'll help you".
