Reynald the CEO

Reynald the CEO
Chapter 66

"Sorry I'm late".

A sound from the door suddenly grabbed the attention of everyone in the room except Gavin who looked down at his phone.

Anggi who realized who the man who had just come joined made his body unmoved. The look of a surprised face was inevitable from him at this moment. He combed through the look of the man he had not seen for 5 years.

Neat hair with pomade, firm jaw and sharp eyes. Anggi felt a slightly different aura from the man. A more mature and masculine aura. Of course, that man was already a father. A little bit will definitely undergo a change.

"This is my best friend and business partner, Reynald of Vankoch Company". Gavin suddenly breaks the awkwardness between Reynald and Anggi.

Rashaad stood up and shook hands with Reynald, throwing a smile.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Reynald" Rashaad said.

Reynald nodded his head with a faint smile.

"Vankoch Company's.... Is the owner Dave Zaynvankoch from Germany?". Ask Rashaad.

"Yes. I'm son".

"Wow! It was a shocking night! I met two very bona fide successors of the company". Sahut Rashaad's.

"Ah Yes.. This is Anggi, my fiance". Rashaad.

Reynald looked at Anggi with a difficult look. Longing, surprised and happy to blend in his heart.

Reynald reached out to Anggi. Gavin who had noticed the interaction of the three people nearby could only wipe his face while exhaling softly.

Anggi received Reynald's hand and commented a smile on his lips.

"People" he said.

Reynald nodded his head thinly but his mouth was tightly clenched.

"Come on.. Come.. Hurry sitting. Let's just start dinner". Gavin breaks the awkwardness.

Rashaad, Anggi and Reynald were seated in their respective places. Gavin who was sitting next to Reynald slightly nudged the man's hand.

"Bro.. I didn't know Anggi was coming! You don't be mad at me". Gavin's Brisks.

Reynald glanced at Gavin. "It's okay". Reynald said briefly.

Two waitresses entered the room while pushing a trolley containing the food they ordered.

One by one the food was served on the table with the drink. Rashaad deftly took the fettucini menu and placed the food in front of Anggi.

"I don't want to eat fettucini". Anggi said slowly.

"Do you want a salad? I'll order it". Sahut Rashaad turned to Anggi.

"No need, Rashaad. I'll just drink". He said while taking a glass of orange juice.

"You haven't eaten, baby". Buujuk Rashaad's.

Anggi sighed slowly. Actually he was hungry, but suddenly the hunger he felt just disappeared when he saw Reynald. Not because he did not want to see the man, but the feeling that was difficult he described made him so excited.

"You look very attentive to your fiancee" said Reynald, who saw the interaction between the two.

Rashaad turned his head and commented a smile. "Yes of course. She's my fiancee. Isn't it weird that I don't care about my fiancee?" Sahut Rashaad chuckled softly.

Reynald looked at Anggi who threw his gaze in any direction.

"How long have you two been engaged?"

"One year" Rashaad said.

"Wow that's long enough for an engagement! Are you planning on getting married soon?". Gavin Timpal.

But a second later Gavin brushed his own mouth when he saw the cold look on Reynald's face.

Rashaad looked at Anggi with a loving gaze and turned to Reynald and Gavin. "We will get married soon" said Rashaad, holding the hand of Anggi who was silent.

"By the way, are you two still alone?"

"You mean single? Don't have a partner?" Gavin Sahut.

Rashaad nodded. "Yes I mean are you two married or maybe engaged?".

Rashaad looked at Reynald with a look of disbelief. "really?"

Reynald nodded. "Yes. I'm married". Reynald.

"Do you have any children?"

"I have 1 daughter who is 5 years old at the moment" Reynald answered Rashaad's question but his eyes locked on Anggi who was staring at him anyway.

"You're very lucky. Hopefully I can follow your steps soon" Sahut Rashaad.

Reynald nodded without answering anything.

Dinner was passed peacefully. Anggi finally want to not have to enjoy the food that has been served. The private-room conversations were dominated by business chats between Reynald, Rashaad and Gavin.

The three exchanged thoughts and useful information in the business world. Anggi secretly glanced at Reynald who was cool with his fiancee. There was no awkwardness from the man's body gesture. Anggi sighed.

What did you expect? Anggi monologues in the heart.

Does he expect Reynald to put on a jealous face? Pissed off? Getting angry? In reality, the man looked relaxed at the moment. At the beginning of the meeting, it may feel cold. But now the man could even laugh softly while chatting with Rashaad.

Unknowingly, time is getting late. One by one the visitors of the restaurant have returned home. Anggi glanced at the circular watch in his right hand and saw the time already showing at 10 p.m.

"I think I should go back to my room first". Anggi looked at Rashaad who was still chatting.

Rashaad shifted his focus to Anggi and combed the look on the woman's face.

"Gosh, I forgot, you must be tired"

"I'm sorry I had to step down first.. My fiance....."

"You.here only. Enjoy your time chatting with them". Anggi cut off Rashaad's words to Reynald and Gavin while holding the man's hand.

Rashaad looked carefully at Anggi's face.

"Seriously it's okay?".

Anggi smiled sweetly. "Yes.. You stay here or go anywhere tonight. You should enjoy your evening while in Jakata".

"Yes, I delivered you first to the room" Rashaad said, standing up.

But Anggi quickly held Rashaad to his feet. "I can do it myself" he said.

Anggi then moved from his seat and looked at Reynald and Gavin alternately.

"Thank you for the dinner. I really enjoyed it. Then I permit to resign first" Anggi said, bowing his head slightly.

Reynald just silently looked at Anggi not telling Gavin to elbow Reynald's arm slowly and turned to look at Anggi with a clumsy face.

"Ah.. Yep.. Yep.. Thank you for taking the time to attend". Gavin.

Anggi also commented on the thin smile on his lips and nodded slowly. Soon the woman stepped out of the room.

Anggi walked slowly to an elevator that would take him to the floor where his hotel room was located.

Until soon the elevator door was open where Anggi was standing. He immediately entered and his finger froze in the air as he was about to squeeze the row of numbers that he had to press. A little thought Anggi then pressed the top floor of the hotel. The goal is rooftop.

Ting!

The elevator doors opened and Anggi walked out of the elevator. He pushed an unlocked iron door. The night wind without excuse just hit his face. Anggi stepped towards the corner of the rooftop and stared at the glitter of lights from the buildings around the hotel.

He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. A tear fell down just like that on his cheek. He quickly wiped it. His lips put a smile on themselves.

"Why should I cry anyway.." Anggi said monologue.

"Him and I have their own lives. But why does my chest taste......." Anggi hangs his words. He squeezed his clothes firmly withstanding the torment that used to exist now exuded back to greet him.

Anggi cupped his hands to the wall and lowered his head. He sobbed out a foreign taste that weighed so heavily on him tonight.

"You promised me you'd always smile. But what am I looking at now?"

The deg! A voice suddenly sounded from behind his body. Anggi quickly wiped her tears and turned her back to look at a man who was the cause of her current cries.

"Rey...."
