Chapter 13

One Week Later

Reynald stood in the window of the office room staring out with a view of the tall buildings around him. It has been exactly one week since Clara's search for Lombok and this time she has really convinced herself that she has to throw away everything about Clara in her life.

It's not her fault, is it? Clara who suddenly left without any news on her. He has tried his best to find the woman for 5 months and ignored the protests of many people around him because he tends to ignore his responsibilities in the company.

Reynald let out a rough sigh. Honestly, forgetting is not easy. Clara's a good woman and not much of a whim. Clara never asked for expensive items on her even though the woman was a famous artist who definitely had a glamorous life.

Reynald walked up to his desk and pressed a button on the phone that was directly connected to Renata's desk.

"More.. Come to my room". Reynald said briefly.

It didn't take long for Renata to enter Reynald's room because they were both on the same floor on the top floor.

"What's wrong?". Ask Renata.

"What's my schedule today?". Reynald asked, sipping a cup of cappucino.

"There's not much of an agenda for you today. Only 1 meeting you have to attend with Maverick Company at 9 then after that you have to be a mentor for your student". Renata.

Reynald frowned. "My student?". Ask Reynald.

"Pig". Renata.

"I guess who! The mention of 'my student' can be a lot of negative meaning you know!". Reynald.

"You're the one who thinks negatively. I wasn't. It's true that she's a student and you're her mentor. It's only natural that I call her your student because you're being her impromptu lecturer hahahaha". Renata laughed out loud.

"Yes.. Yep.. Laugh as much as you! Now get out of my room!". Get Reynald upset.

Renata then walked out of Reynald's room still with a satisfied laugh.

"Thank you Mr. Reynald for his opportunity at my company. It is a great pride to join this great project with your company". Maverick Company CEO Hendra Wibrata.

"Either. Hope this project goes well without much hindrance". Reynald shakes hands with Hendra.

"By the way, do you have any free time tonight? I'd like to invite you to dinner at my house". Hendra looked on with hope.

Reynald thought for a moment and smiled faintly. "Sorry Mr. Hendra, I have an appointment with a friend. Maybe at another time". Reject Reynald smooth.

"Gee.. A pity... I want to introduce you to my daughter". Hendra could not cover the disappointed look on his face.

Reynald only smiled faintly and nodded his farewell. He and Renata leave the CEO of Maverick Company and his secretary.

"Huh old bastard! Apparently he's still trying to get close to the rich guys to get married to his daughter!". Gerrutu Reynald while walking.

"Why don't you come? Don't you have no schedule tonight? I heard the Maverick Company CEO's daughter is beautiful, Rey". Said Renata who was walking beside her.

"Beautiful or not, I don't care" Reynald replied curtly and strode quickly away from Renata towards his room upstairs.

"Hey! You don't forget your student is coming in 30 minutes to your room!". Shouted Renata.

Reynald simply passed by without looking back and into the elevator.

30 Minutes later

Reynald's door opened without hearing any reply from the owner of the room. Renata enters carrying Anggi who is tailing behind him. The girl actually arrived on time. He sought discipline and kept a good image in front of Reynald. Because he believes a CEO definitely does not like to waste time and work with people who are not disciplined.

"Rey, Anggi's here". Renata interrupted Reynald who was recording something in a file.

"Sit down first". Reynald said without looking at the two.

Renata turned towards Anggi. "Come on. Sit on the couch". Renata stepped onto the sofa and sat himself on the soft and comfortable brown chair.

Anggi then followed Renata and sat himself on the sofa facing him.

Shortly thereafter Reynald closed the file he had taken note of and put it in a safe.

"Why are you still here?". Reynald asked looking at Renata.

"I'm waiting for you to ask me about the lunch menu for today". Said Renata while checking the fake nails in his wear.

"What do you want to eat?". Reynald turned to look at Anggi.

Anggi who suddenly asked suddenly nervous.

Renata smiled a little. "Don't be nervous like that. He won't bite you". Renata told Anggi.

Anggi just looked embarrassed.

"You ordered a steak at the restaurant I used to order". Reynald's word to Renata.

"You like steak, right?". Reynald turned to asking Anggi.

"I.. Ja.. I like it, Sir". Anggi answered nervously

"Hey! How many times have I told you I'm not your father! Stop calling me with 'Sir!'." Gerrutu Reynald's upset.

Renata who heard that then laughed with satisfaction to hear Reynald grumbling.

"You!". Reynald stared intently at Renata who was laughing at himself.

"Haha Rey.. You deserve to be Father!". Renata was still laughing.

Anggi dulled. "Sorry Sir.. Uh..I mean.. Ouch.. What should I call you..." Anggi scratched his neck which was not itchy at all.

"Call me my name. You can call me Reynald.. Rey's.. Whatever the origin is not with sir! You're not my employee who should call me with frills sir". Reynald.

Anggi raises his head. "But it's not polite". Her speech.

"Your age is 23, right? Only 6 years with me. Clara's 4 years different from me calling Rey. What else is this brash cousin of mine. She was 3 years different from me, and I kept yelling at me and cursing at me under my own name". Appoint Reynald to Renata.

Renata who heard Reynald's words was silent for a moment. The mood became quiet. Reynald was stunned to realize what he had just said.

"I mean... Hmmm". Reynald did not continue his speech.

"Yes.. Yep! You can call him by name only. No need to be so stiff!". Renata melts the atmosphere.

"All right! Please start your guidance. I'll order steak for lunch". Renata continued while getting up from the sofa and passed leaving the two who were still silent.
