Chapter 9: Sorry

After her mother left, Zara just stayed alone with Ran in the kitchen. So that makes susana lonely and awkward. Finally, Ran decided to open his voice.

"Today don't leave the house, I won't let you!" firmly the man towards Zara as he stepped out of the kitchen.

Zara was furious again with Ran's attitude like that. He does not like to be ordered but he also cannot fight Ran. His gaze was so cynical as he looked towards Ran who was already on the second floor.

'Why is that creature so annoying. What I do is always scolded by him. What am I wrong?' zara grumbled inwardly as she finished her last mouthful.

After taking care of the dishes she had used for breakfast, Zara went to the room and locked herself up. Because Ran forbids her from leaving, she decides to watch a Japanese tokusatsu film called Kamen Rider Decade.

Zara sees Tsukasa Kadoya as the main character in the film. As Tsukasa held the card to turn into Decade, Zara cried out hysterically.

"Oh My God's.. Masahiro, you're so handsome."

Zara's voice shrieked until it reached Ran's room. The man was immediately aghast at Zara's shrill voice that made her feel disturbed. Finally he stood up and walked over to Zara's room. As soon as he directly knocked on the door of the girl's room loudly.

Zara who was hysterical suddenly stopped because she heard a loud knock on the door. He knew the knock of the door from Ran and casually he ignored the knock. Ran knocks again to make Zara stop the spectacle. Zara opened the room door and put on a flat face without any sin.

"What are you doing in there, don't you realize your voice has pierced the sky?" sergeant Ran.

Instantly Zara felt pierced by a dagger. He did not want to reply to the man's words. Zara looked down with teary eyes. At this time the girl could not hear negative sentences that could cut her heart, or you could say Zara was in a sensitive period.

"Should I always tell you like a child?" added Ran.

Zara grew angry when she heard the man's words. Finally Zara got out of control, everything she wanted to get out of had gathered in her crown. And finally broke.

"Should I always be angry? Wh why? Because I'm an orphan? Don't I deserve a little bit of love? Or maybe you don't want me to be happy, huh? Is that what my father told you? If that's what you want, then fine! I'm gonna do it! I will be silent and suffer!." cried the girl as she shed tears.

Ran was back shocked. Finally, Zara closed the door to her room violently.

"Zara, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." said Ran trying to explain to Zara from behind the door but it didn't.

The sound of Zara's sobbing was heard and made Ran feel even more guilty. The man turned his back to move, then returned to his room with a feeling of guilt. Ran sat at his desk thinking about the incident. He felt that Zara's words were true.

'I'm sorry Zara, I didn't mean to hurt your heart. I also do not understand why I say that, I do not understand how to take good care of you.' he said in his heart.

Ran slowly opened the door of the girl's room which was indeed more often in an unlocked state. He looked on the bed with Zara still shedding tears.

Just as Ran sat on the edge of Zara's bed, the girl turned her face away. Ran mustered up the courage to touch Zara. Slowly his hand reached for the girl's tiny hand. When she felt touched, Zara spontaneously turned to look at Ran. Their gazes met for a moment, Ran lowered his gaze while saying.

"Zara, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have treated you like that, I realized I was too rude to hurt you." Grasping Zara's hand tightly.

Seeing that it makes Zara melt her ego, she also realizes that her attitude is wrong. He should not protest against Ran who has become the person in charge of his life.

"I don't know what to say, but I also feel like it's my fault" Zara replied.

"No Zara, it's my fault. I should have loved you as your father did. I promise to take good care of you." After saying his apology, the man slowly hugged Zara's body and closed his eyes.

Zara was jolted by Ran's attitude which suddenly became gentle and loving. He returned Ran's embrace because he felt missed on a hug. His admiration for Ran grew bigger, his irritation instantly evaporated after the apology made by the man who was his cousin.

In the depths of Ran's heart, the man acknowledged the feelings that arose when he looked at Zara's face. That feeling is attraction, which he never feels in others. He admits that he has fallen in love with a girl named Zara who is also his own cousin.

The hug was a sign of his apology and also as a sign he confessed his love for Zara. Although the girl did not know the meaning of their embrace. Shortly afterwards Zara releases her embrace followed by Ran. The atmosphere immediately felt stiff because the first hug that began with conflict. Zara wiped away the tears still left on her cheeks, Ran smiled.

"I'm sorry again. From now on I will consider you my sister. And I promise to never be angry with you again. You can call me Brother, even you can ask for all your rights as a sister. Because I promised your father to take care of you" Ran explained.

The man then got up and stroked Zara's head. After that it passed. Zara stared at Ran's departure with sparkling eyes, now she no longer complained about the man's attitude because she felt Ran had changed. His changes in a short time put a value in Zara's heart. He realized that it turns out he did put feelings on Ran.

'I don't know why, but I feel like I've fallen for her.' Zara said in her heart.

There was gratitude arising in his mind as he felt a warmth slowly seeping into the recesses of his heart. Who would have thought if he could fall in the charm of a narrow-eyed man named Ran. If possible, Zara would like to stay with the man. A smile was seen adorning the face of the 17-year-old girl, with the blink of an eye her feelings could change. The one who had been upset was now calmed down by just one word, Sorry.
