Chapter 37: Another Cousin

Aizuko and Faykah congratulate Bryan and Aura. Not to forget they took a photo together as a memory, considering Bryan and Aizuko are good friends. After taking a picture, Faykah told Aura that he was Zara's old friend.

"really? Wow, what a coincidence." replied Aura with a graceful smile.

"Haha, is that kid still acting like a kid?" ask Faykah in jest.

"You could have, haha. Since we were at the University I have never seen him as a child, he even looks more mature than me and Satria." replied Aura.

They seem to adapt quickly, no matter what. They had a lot of small talk as well as Bryan and Aizuko.

"really? Do you know, back when in High School he was always angry indistinctly if anyone bullied him. I also remember, he had been to school while grumbling indistinctly. After I asked him the cause, you know what he said? (As soon as Faykah paused her speech, then Aura nodded) She did not like her cuckoo and angry cousin, hahaha."

"Hahaha, it turns out that Zara is the only child. Well, I don't believe it. But honestly he was very kind and loyal. I liked him as a friend, and I knew he was dating his cousin. Mmm, what's his name? Ran yeah, it's Ran. Aren't we?" Aura.

Faykah. A boyfriend? As far as Faykah doesn't even like her cousin, how could they be dating? But indeed, he had seen Zara picked up by Ran on their last day of school.

"I don't know for sure either. But I heard from Satria that Zara has a lover and she is Zara's cousin. I also know his name from Satria." explained Aura.

"Hmm like that." Faykah nodded slowly.

Completely unexpected Faykah, it turns out Zara keeps a big secret from him. But he also realized that his position was now no longer Zara's best friend, they were just old friends who returned together. But Faykah felt disturbed, why his best friend never told him, so closed Zara now. Even Aura knows that Zara has someone else's lover?

"Yes, if so, I and Aizuko excuse me first" Faykah told the two brides.

"Alright, enjoy" said Bryan and Aura together.

Aizuko and Faykah took a slow look and passed away leaving both of them.

As they sat at a table eating the food they had taken, Faykah looked at her husband like he wanted to ask a question. Aizuko returned her gaze.

"What's the matter, baby?" ask Aizuko.

"Mmm, do you know? Zara and Ran have a relationship as lovers?" ask Faykah.

In order to kill the curiosity that gnawed her mind Faykah was forced to ask her husband, well even though he knew that her husband could not possibly know it.

"Well I know." replied Aizuko casually.

Faykah choked on hearing her husband's statement.

"Hey baby, slow down. Drink up!" said Aizuko while giving a glass of juice to Faykah.

Faykah downed the juice her husband gave her and then set her breath for a moment.

"really? Are they really dating?" ask Faykah who is still curious.

"Well, that's how. I asked Ran this myself. Why why?"

"I just found out." replied Faykah flatly.

"What's the problem then?" ask Aizuko.

"No. Nothing." replied Faykah as he gulped back his juice.

Early in the morning on campus, Zara walked to class with a smile on her face. Today he looks different, unlike in previous days. Zara decided to forget her momentary sadness in order to focus more on education. He recalled that when he was sad at Aura's wedding, Satria calmed him down in an embrace.

"At least, you should be happy. If it's not for Ran, then be happy for yourself. Trust me, happiness doesn't just come from someone we love but sometimes happiness comes from ourselves" Satria said.

"Have you ever felt it?" asked Zara while staring at Satria's legume.

"Now I'm feeling it." replied Satria in a serious tone.

Zara was stunned, she could not believe it. How can Satria do this only for the happiness of her who is no one.

"But why are you doing this?" ask Zara.

"Because in this way, I want to see you happy. And if you're happy I'll be happy too." said Satria.

Hearing Satria's words that there was no doubt in it made Zara moved. There are only two men who want to see her happy besides her father, Ran and Satria.

"Thank you, Satria. But, I don't know how I can repay your kindness." Zara stroked the back of Satria's hand.

"Enough with a smile, then I take it as your thanks." replied Satria with confidence.

However, the man loves Zara and wants to keep seeing the girl he loves happy.

Zara immediately hugged her best friend, moved by her words. He promised himself that from that night there would be no more sad Zara. He will rise up to make himself happy for the future.

Satria nodded.

After arriving at the front of the class, Zara stopped her steps for a moment. In front of him, stood the figure of a man with an indigenous face. He knew this man who had once been his little friend.

"Saga." said Zara.

The man curled his lips and called out Zara's name. "Zara's."

They approached each other then with a blink of an eye, Zara and Saga hugged each other.

"How are you?" asked Zara in Saga's arms.

"Fine, what about you?" ask Saga.

"Of course it's good." replied Zara.

They sat in a chair and talked.

"When did you come back here?" ask Zara to Saga.

The man is still the same as 6 years ago where they became friends. Saga was the eldest son of Aunt Yumna, who on the day of Zara's death he was absent because he was still abroad completing his education.

"Two days ago" he answered.

"Why didn't you tell me, huh?" Zara hit the small shoulder field of the man.

"Supa surprise. I know you're still in mourning, so I wanted to surprise you for a little happiness and as an apology because I didn't come when aunt was buried." replied Saga.

"Hm.. You're evil. Fortunately, Ran was by my side. If it's not what I am now." Zara pressed her lips, pouting.

"Huhah, I'm sorry. Then where is Ran now?" saga asked, after a small laugh.

"He.. It's back to Japan." replied Zara lethargic.

"Why?" ask Saga wonder.

"Uncle Akira is dying." replied Zara growing listless.

"Huh, banarkah? Why didn't Mom tell me that? Then why are you still here? Why not just go see my uncle?" saga said in a hurry.

His face was so anxious, because no matter how Ran, he and Zara kissed. His mother, Zara's father and Ran's father were brothers. And you could say their bond is so close. Ran was born in Japan because Uncle Akira married a Japanese woman.

"Said Kak Ran, I have to go to college properly. He didn't let me leave for a long time. That's why he just went alone." replied Zara.

Saga catches something from Zara's speech, he feels Ran and Zara are so close as long as he does not see them again. And when he mentioned Ran's name, there were two expressions that Zara exuded. Enthusiasm and bitterness.

"Are you close to that narrow-eyed guy?" ask Saga by putting on a relaxed look like nothing.

"It's not just close, we're even dating" Zara replied honestly. There was nothing else he could cover from his cousin's saga.

"What's? Since when?" Saga dumbfounded.

"Since Ran stayed with me and took care of me." replied Zara.

"Hmm okay, so you guys play behind me yeah." Saga looks seductive to Zara.

"Hey, who's playing behind you? You're too busy in a country of people to forget to tell me and Ran." Zara pinched the man's stomach.

"Adede, for Zara's sake." Saga grimaced with a seductive tone. Zara stopped the pinch.

"You, this has never changed. Still pinching. Look out for you, yeah." Saga retorted to pinch Zara's nose.

"Don't you, Brother Ran, I just pinch." said Zara while grinning.

"Ahahaha, my God you are." Saga shook his head.

"Yes, I have a need. We'll meet again after this. How's it?" Saga looked at Zara.

"Mm ofcourse, in the amendment Ran. 4 O'clock in the afternoon. I wait." replied Zara.

"alright. Wow, Ran is very good to you. Until the apartment is yours." Saga is back to tease Zara.

"Hey you, stop teasing me. Just come!" reply Zara with a kettle.

"Yes, yeah. I'll come later. Jaanee." Saga waved her hand.

"Jane." Zara returned the man's hand.
