Chapter 10: Peace

Zara closed her laptop which had opened earlier then moved towards Ran's room with a feeling that was a little calm. The narrow-eyed man opened the door and let Zara into his room after she expressed her desire to talk to him.

Zara sat on the sofa with Ran side by side but stared at each other. Zara was about to speak but she felt nervous for the first time she invited the man to speak in an already peaceful situation. But he dismissed his nervous feelings and then ventured to begin.

"I'm sorry for what I said earlier, I think it's very disrespectful" Zara said, bowing her head.

"No problem, I'm sure you're like that because of my attitude." Ran replied and smiled.

"I don't want to bother you, so I was thinking what if you told me what it was my duty to help each other" Zara said.

"Your only duty is to obey all my commands because I am in charge of you."

"Alright, I will try to obey all your orders" Zara said. But something came to his head that made him sound again.

"Can I ask for your help?"

"Sure, why not." Ran raises his shoulder.

"You know I'm going to take the final exam some time, so I'm asking you to help me study at night after you get home from work." Zara expressed her request.

"It doesn't matter." replied Ran accepted.

"Didn't that trouble you?" ask Zara to make sure.

"No Zara. That is my duty, and when else can I share time with you if not then. You also have the right to ask me for time, especially when it comes to your education" Ran assured Zara.

Zara nodded her head when she understood, and then the situation was suddenly silent. He was relieved by the current situation, his frustration at Ran now turned into trust and affection. He hopes Ran can be a good person in charge of his life.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" tanya Ran broke the silence.

Zara weighed for a moment Ran's invitation, actually there are some things that she has to do today one of which is to watch her favorite movie, which is her favorite movie, but he also thought that this was the first time he went with Ran and also this was a very rare moment. Finally he decided to heed Ran's invitation even though he had to sacrifice his time not to watch.

"Well sure." replied Zara briefly while showing a smile decorated with dimples on both sides of her cheeks.

"Go get ready, we'll leave soon" Ran said.

"alright. Wait for me in five minutes." said Zara as she got up and went to her room.

Five minutes later they were on the terrace, Ran walked to his car while Zara was sitting in a chair wearing her shoes. After finishing putting the shoes he got up and locked the door of the house then entered the car with Ran who was already sitting behind the wheel.

They darted towards a famous shopping mall in the city. Slowly Ran walked into the shopping mall with Zara behind him. It was strange to see Zara walking behind him that Ran immediately pulled the girl's hand to walk parallel to her.

"Ah Hey, what's.." said Zara was cut off because she understood after they walked in parallel.

"I just don't want you to walk in the back, you know that feels really weird to me." Ran explained the reason that made Zara more understanding.

Ran looked straight ahead while walking holding Zara's hand. While Zara released her gaze around because she wanted to look around. After arriving at the second floor Ran directly directed his steps to the cinema, Zara who realized it suddenly shouted in excitement in her heart.

'Haaa O God, He wants to watch a movie.' Zara said in her heart.

Ran then stops at the ticketing place, Zara looks at the ticket that Ran bought and turns out the man bought a ticket to watch the latest Japanese drama. Once again Zara cried out in excitement in her heart.

Then Ran invited him to sit for a moment on one side of the shopping center because the film they would watch in half an hour would just be aired. They waited while touching the snacks that Ran had bought. Zara stared with a sparkling gaze towards the ticket she was holding.

'I didn't expect to see this movie, I've been looking forward to it since it was announced. Gladlyaaa..' He murmured in his heart.

After thirty minutes they were in the cinema seat precisely in the left-most middle row seat and stuck by the wall. Ran told Zara to sit on the side of the wall. But Zara protested.

"Do you want the man next to me to touch you? It's Zara's cinema, people usually come just to do evil." Ran explained.

Finally Zara understood and accepted Ran's decision, she sat down with a calm feeling because Ran protected her from danger. The movie began shortly, Zara began to tense because this was the first time she watched a Japanese movie in the cinema because usually she watched on a laptop after being downloaded from the internet that she could watch the movie after two years from time exits.

In the middle of the film, there is an adult scene that according to Ran Zara has not been able to see. Ran quickly closed Zara's eyes with his hand, Zara gasped. Then Ran whispered.

"Don't look, it's not good."

"Aren't I a big man?" zara asked, feeling she deserved it.

"No Zara. I won't let you see it before the time comes." replied Ran who kept closing Zara's eyes.

"What about you?" ask Zara again who tried to make Ran guilty.

"Didn't you feel my breath hitting your forehead?" Ran asked back because of Zara's unconsciousness of their position.

"Ah what?"

At first Zara did not understand the purpose of Ran's question but finally she realized when she felt the breath of Ran caressing her forehead.

'Is he being.. Oh no, what kind of position is this. I think my heart wants to fall out. Come on Ran stop doing this.' Say it in the heart.

After the adult scene finished Ran restored his sitting position while releasing his hand from Zara's eyes. Zara looked back at the screen, trying to refocus on the film.

But Ran's hand that overstretched his hand on the chair made his heart unable to stop beating fast. Instantly he felt a dilemma, actually he wanted to pull his hand but he did not feel good to Ran. But if it is not pulled, the pounding of his heart will not stop because he feels comfortable.

Ran certainly felt Zara's hand was under his hand but because he also felt comfortable when in contact with Zara then he did not want to get rid of his hand from Zara. In a short time, the hands that were just pecking are now intertwined.

I don't know who started it, they are both unconscious because they have drowned in the fun of watching a movie in front of them. Soon Zara who is still in unconscious mode immediately rests her head on Ran's shoulder because she sees a romantic and sad scene on the cinema screen. Ran noticed it but let it go.

Half an hour later, the movie was finally finished. One by one the spectators left the seats, but not with Ran and Zara. Ran chooses to stay where he is waiting for everything to come out so that their path is not blocked. While waiting, Zara leaned back in her chair as she was already feeling exhausted.

After about three minutes, the cinema was empty, only the rest of the two of them and a cinema employee who was checking the room. Ran takes Zara out of the room to go home.

On the way none of them spoke, Zara chose to be quiet because she felt embarrassed after remembering the incident at the cinema when the adult scene appeared. He was inexhaustible with Ran's style turning towards him. But his mind was scattered by the voice asked Ran.

"What's wrong with you?"

"Ah no. How do I look?" Zara asked back.

"Are you less happy?" Ran also asked back.

"Ah I'm sorry I made you feel like I wasn't happy. But I'm actually really happy." Zara answered that felt unreasonable. Ran however understood. Finally, he did not continue the conversation because they had reached home.

Zara hastily came down because she was still feeling shy, Ran realized Zara's attitude and made her smile.

'I like her smile and her behavior, it seems like I really like that girl.' she muttered inwardly as she shook her head.
