My Lovely Cousin's

My Lovely Cousin's
Chapter 35: The Wasurenaide

The morning was so bright, the sun shone on the earth with its warm rays. The birds sing melodiously, the sky looks so charming with clouds. It is different with Zara. The morning was bright but his heart was in a state of turmoil due to Ran's departure a few hours ago.

The girl sat pensively in her campus garden which looked deserted. He stared blankly at the fountain in front of him. After receiving her first degree, the girl decided to be alone. There was nothing he thought of except Ran. Well, his cousin and lover had left Indonesia a few hours ago and returned to his homeland in Tokyo. Zara recalls her last encounter with the slender-eyed man moments before he completely disappeared from her sight.

The flash back on..

"I know it's hard, but I have to do it.." Ran paused for a moment to look at the look on his cousin's face.

It was obvious that the smile on Zara's face faded away, either because she knew the direction of Ran's conversation or just because Ran was about to leave her.

"We end our relationship here." continued Ran.

Degs.. Zara swallowed her saliva which tasted so bitter. The words were waiting to hit his heart. Instantly his tears trickled down, his entire body trembled weakly. Is this really what he heard? It feels like an impossibsle.

"Ta.. But.. Why sis?" ask her with a trembling voice.

"I'm leaving, and I don't know when I'll be back" Ran said followed by a bitter smile.

Actually Ran does not want their relationship to run aground, but there is nothing he can do but end it. For leaving Zara in a relationship is the same as torturing the girl. And Ran doesn't want to make the girl tormented withhold a longing for her who doesn't know when to come back. Ran will return to Japan and he does not know when he will definitely return to Indonesia.

"But.. But why end it?" asked Zara who was still trembling trying to hold back her sobs.

Ran approached and grabbed the girl's body in his arms. Ran stroked Zara's head and kissed her briefly.

"Because you don't know when you're coming back. It could be that brother will never come back."

The statement that just came out of Ran's mouth really created a sense of tightness in Zara's chest. It was painful and hard for him to breathe. Finally the girl gasps in Ran's embrace. Her crying broke and grew louder.

"Then.. If you go.. Who will take care of me? I don't have anyone else brother." said Zara amid the stuffing.

"Don't worry, Surya will take care of you. Later he will often come to the apartment." said Ran tried to calm down. Actually he could not leave Zara but what could be done.

Zara released her body link, then wiped away the tears that flooded her cheeks.

"alright. I'll try to accept this situation, because you've taught me to give up my mother and now I'm going to give you my love, too, but I have one request.." Zara stopped her words.

Ran frowned. "What's that?"

"Wasurenaide.(don't forget me)" said Zara with a bitter smile adorning her face.

Ran again grabbed the girl and now she is shedding tears.

"Sure." replied Ran.

Flsah back off..

A man called out the name of Zara. Instantly, the girl's daydream was broken. Zara turned to the source of the voice. Satria. The figure caught by the pupils of his eyes. Zara smiled briefly and let Satria sit by her side.

"Am I interrupting?" Satria. The man was actually just a fad through the park and then saw the figure of Zara sitting alone in the park and finally he decided to approach his best friend.

"Of course not." replied the girl in a weak voice.

Satria had just noticed Zara's pale-looking face. In his mind, maybe this girl is sick. Satria then asked.

"Are you okay?" Zara nodded slowly.

Satria stared into Zara's eyeballs. The man couldn't believe his best friend was okay. Because anyone who sees that pale face of pity will surely ask the same thing he asked.

"Why are you always so strong, huh? Come on tell your best friend this, are you sick?" Satria tries to make Zara admit it.

"Satria.. I'm fine, really." replied Zara slowly.

Satria sharpened her gaze at Zara, really demanding that the girl admit that she was doing nothing. Zara lowered her head, knowing the intent of Satria's sharp gaze.

"I'm sorry, but I'm actually fine. It's just that I want to be alone."

Hearing Zara's words made Satria seem to realize her position. If his best friend wants to be alone, why should he bother? Satria then withdrew his gaze from Zara and got up.

"Sorry Zara, I didn't mean to disturb your calm. All right, I'm gonna go. Oh yes, prepare yourself. Three more days Aura will be married."

Zara looked up, "Sure."

"Then I go first. If you need help, don't hesitate to meet me." said Satria then passed.

Zara returned to her starting position, sat face to face the garden fountain and then quietly fantasized.

'I just haven't been able to forget Ran, and I still hope that the man I love will come back again. Because he promised Dad to take care of me and I'm sure Ran won't break that promise. I'm sure Zara's inner self was then overtaken by a single tear.
