Munding still watched the wolf pack with increasing curiosity. He realized that there was some kind of rule used in the herd. They are orderly and orderly. There was something that made them descend the valley in a certain order. There was a wolf in control in their herd.
In addition to the leader, there were some wolves who also looked stronger and ferocious than other wolves in the herd, but they still followed the orders of the leader of the herd.
When the pack reached the valley where Munding was standing, the two wolves that looked weakest in the herd and in front looked confused and did not know where to go, suddenly there was the sound of howling from behind the herd coming from the wolf who was walking alone and was at the very back.
The two wolves in front of the line looked frightened and immediately walked back but one of them took a different direction from the other. Suddenly a wolf behind them jumped and pounced on the wolf.
The weak wolf who became the most secure victim of the wolf behind him looked frightened and put his tail between his back legs. Quickly, he immediately laid his body on his back as a signal that he recognized the dominance of the wolf that had just attacked him.
The wolf then returned to the herd and they all walked back in a straight line through the thick snow in this valley.
The wind was still jostling loudly and carrying snowflakes drifting here and there.
Munding was stunned when he witnessed all that. Now he realized what made the herd so orderly.
Hierarchies.
There was a clear hierarchy within the wolf herd. There is Alpha the leader of the herd, there is Beta, the wolves who become soldiers in the herd and one level below the Alpha and there are ordinary wolves in the herd.
But in addition to those three, there are also Omega wolves who are victims of bully-an members of the herd and are ready to be sacrificed at any time. They are also targeted by other members of the herd to defuse possible conflicts, such as two wolves in front of the pack.
That means, even though they are basically all wolves, but there is a hierarchy for the wolves in the herd. Not every wolf is a leader in his flock. There are also soldiers, there are ordinary wolves and they even have wolves that become scapegoats in the herd.
So, not all wolves can and are able to follow their own desires. Not all wolves will always follow their instincts. Not all wolves are Alpha. There will be wolves that become Beta, Omega or just ordinary wolves in every flock.
There will be wolves who can only follow the Alpha's orders. He was still a wolf, but he had to ignore his instincts and follow the wishes of the leader of his herd.
And so are fighting wolves like Munding and Afza. Munding is now aware that the initiation process of Afza and possibly the rest of the Red and White team makes them into a fighting wolf that will probably only be Beta instead of Alpha. There was a fundamental mistake the military had with their understanding of the concept of the fighting wolves they were carrying out.
But Munding also began to suspect, is it possible that all this was deliberate by their own leadership? They felt afraid to create a fighting wolf that would become an Alpha because they would not be as easily controlled and would probably not heed the military command anymore from its leader?
Until finally, they decided to create the concept of fighting wolf training which from the beginning was only intended to print warrior wolves? Not the leaders of the herd?
Munding was still deep in thought as the Alpha Wolf walked slowly down the valley and finally stood in front of Munding. The Alpha suddenly stared intently at Munding and seemed to know that Munding was there and was standing where he was.
Munding. He had not experienced this before. The Alpha was still staring intently at Munding as if he knew Munding was there. Munding knew that the Alpha only relied on his sensitive instincts to realize the existence of the figure 'himself' in this place.
The Alpha wolf then growled softly and looked as if it was bowing its head towards Munding as a sign of saluting. Respect is not because it recognizes itself under Munding, but rather toward respect to fellow Alpha who have the same status. Munding knew it with his instincts.
Munding smiled and nodded his head in return.
Munding suddenly felt himself drifting quickly from that place and when he reopened his eyes he was already back on top of the hill cross-legged in front of Afza.
Munding's face looked calm and not confused like before. Afza could clearly see the change in Munding's countenance from the beginning and when he saw Munding's calm face, something suddenly appeared in his chest.
Afza felt that he was in front of someone who he did not mind at all to follow his orders. A man she was willing to put everything together and follow. Like a Beta wolf to the Alpha.
Afza had never felt this way before towards a man and when she realized her own feelings, a tinge of red appeared on her face and Afza reflexively lowered her face.
Munding felt strange with the change in attitude Afza that looked different from earlier.
"Why you?" ask Munding in astonishment.
"That's why" Afza quickly argued, raising his face for a moment and quickly turning his face away.
"Ish," decak Munding while shaking his head.
"I can now guess why your intentions look innocent and without determination" Munding said.
"Yes?" ask Afza.
"First, you guys spar too often and never do a real duel. Second, you are soldiers. Without a leader, your abilities will not be able to come out completely" Munding replied.
Afza was seen thinking about Munding's words while bowing his head. But he could not concentrate at all, all the contents of his mind were now filled with the shadow of the man who was still sitting in front of him.
"Whatever. I'll think about it later" Afza replied, which made Munding frown.
But Munding is not so dizzy with Afza's slightly strange attitude. This morning, Munding gained a very valuable experience for himself and made him much more understanding of his long journey as a fighting wolf. And he should thank Afza for that.
"Thank you" said Munding towards Afza as he stood up.
"For what?" afza answered with confusion.
"For everything you do. You made me realize the other side of the fighting wolf that I didn't understand all along" Munding replied.
"Humphs. Then you owe me. I'll charge him later" Afza replied as he stood following Munding even though he didn't quite understand the man's intentions.
The two men then walked down to the headquarters by walking down the path between the trees on the hill.
