Munding - Legend of the Wolf Fighter
Chapter 127 - Daily

"Mas, rest first," Nurul shouted towards a man who was weeding the grass on a rice field.

Munding smiled to see his wife who brought a bushel containing his lunch to the rice field. He straightened up and breathed in the fresh air of the countryside that had accompanied him for several years.

Munding then brought the hoe and sickle that he had used to work and down the rice field to the hut where Nurul waited with a cheerful smile.

Munding sat in the bamboo bale in the hut after putting his tools next to the hut. He approached his wife and tried to smell the cooking of the food in front of them.

"Dek Nurul cook what?" ask Munding.

"Mas Favorites. Urap, tempe mendoan, salted fish with boiled eggs," replied Nurul mesra while pouring warm tea from a small thermos that he brought.

Munding immediately smiled brightly. It's simple. It's not fancy. But this is the life he dreamed of. Munding is willing to do anything for the sake of the simple life he lives with his wife now.

Munding lunch accompanied by the smile of his wife and the breeze of his rice field. Sawah, which used to be a place for Munding, accompanied his father every time he returned to school.

Yep.

Munding and Nurul now live in Sukorejo. They did choose to stay here after officially getting married and registered their marriage to KUA. At first Munding hesitated, because he had bad memories here, but Pak Yai advised him to forget the past. Munding now has Nurul accompanying him.

Munding obeyed Pak Yai. He and Nurul now live in Sukorejo, but Munding is not like his father. He made a simple house comfortable for both of them. Of course with modern furniture that can indeed make them comfortable and ease the household work of his wife.

Munding drank a warm tea and leaned his back against the bamboo hut pole behind him.

"Enak Mas?" ask Nurul.

"No" replied Munding.

"Seriously Mas?" ask Nurul.

"Yes not," replied Munding with a laugh, "even if it's really not good, I'll still say good," continued Munding in his heart.

"Jail is really this Mas," Nurul said as she inched closer to her husband.

"Hug ya Mas?" nurul whisik.

"Dec Drying Bag," declined Munding.

"Nurul was used to the same sweat Mas from long ago," said Nurul while still making nyender to her husband's chest.

Munding surrender. The two of them hugged in the hut in the middle of their rice fields while smiling and enjoying the breeze of the afternoon. Both.

"Ustazah Nurul, Bambang naughty," shouted a little girl as she ran around on the terrace of the mosque.

"Bambang, don't be naughty," Nurul shouted as he glanced at the boy named Bambang.

Two hijab-wearing girls were seen busy organizing the little children who were running around and playing in the mosque next to the Munding house.

They are Nurul and Asma.

In addition to making a simple house, Munding and Nurul also built a mosque next to their house. Sukorejo is an abangan village, one of the goals Pak Yai told Munding to return and settle here is because Pak Yai wants to change Sukorejo for the better.

The first step they do is to build this mushola.

Munding and Nurul are a young couple. They cannot come to Sukorejo and lecture the older generation or the generation of their age who have been acting in order for them to repent. They can't do that.

The way they choose is to change the next generation in this village. Educate them from childhood and teach them something they did not get from their parents.

Asma was excited when Munding and Nurul planned to make their TPA. Without hesitation, Asma immediately volunteered to help Nurul teach there.

This afternoon, is the umpteenth afternoon since the first day they offered their neighbors children to teach.

Munding looked at the two girls from beside the mushola. He's done what he's been doing since SD and it's probably his habit.

Filling water for ablution tub in Mushola.

Why not install a pump? The pump is there and already installed, but Munding chose to do it by hand. Toh itung-itung consider as fitness all nemenin his wife teaches teaching.

Late afternoon. The sun began to set in the western horizon. Nurul and Asma ended their teaching because Maghrib's time was almost here.

"Mas, adzan first," Nurul said.

Soon after, Munding also collaborated with Nurul and Asma in the mosque. Some of the children also prayed with them.

"We first Munding, Nurul, Asma. Thank you for today" said a young woman who was picking up her son and saying goodbye in front of the mosque.

"Sama-sama, tomorrow comes again huh?" nurul replied with a smile.

The little boy with his mother nodded his head at Nurul and walked home. Some other children also experienced something similar, picked up by his father or mother after the Maghrib prayer. Munding and Nurul never mentioned even once why they did not all pray even though they still occasionally invite them.

"Mother Asma's dinner all right?" nurul asked while holding Asthma's hand.

"Yes," Asma nodded her head and the two of them left Munding alone in the mosque to clean up the tables scattered there.

Nurul knew long ago that Asma was saving her husband's taste. But, she fully believes in Munding that only she is in her husband's heart.

Therefore, it was not the feeling of worry or fear that he felt every time Nurul saw Asthma. Nurul felt sorry for the girl. The girl who harbored unrequited feelings for many years.

Other than Asthma, there was another girl who made Nurul sympathize. A girl named Amel. The city girl Nurul knew also fell in love with her husband. Just like Asthma, Amel's feelings are unrequited but it's too deep to be erased.

Every time Nurul saw Amel, Nurul always gave thanks because He met Nurul with Munding first, so that Munding could be his. Had Amel met Munding first, Nurul was sure that there was no chance for him besides Munding.

Nurul was always amazed when she saw Amel. City girls who are independent, smart, confident and rich, in addition to having extraordinary beauty of course. She was the ideal figure of all the village girls like Nurul.

But, Nurul remained happy and never felt envious, as she could clearly see the envious look in Amel's eyes every time the girl looked at Nurul. And Nurul knows the answer, Munding.

"Mas, hopefully, eat first" Nurul called to Munding who was still in the mosque.

"In a moment, less this," replied Munding who still set the tables after being used to teach earlier.

"Just let's go, Asma's mother has been waiting for that," Nurul said.

Munding let go of a deep breath and walked over to his house. Nurul took his hand and invited Munding to the dining table, where Asma was waiting.

Munding glanced at Asma, "the more the day, the more fat," said Munding jokingly, trying to melt the atmosphere.

"really right? You're not lying, are you?" asthma looks panicked.

I don't know since when the Asma ngikutin the Nurul call Munding 'Mas'. Munding has been rejected, they are the same age, but still Asthma does not want to change.

Nurul just laughs, "Mbak Asma, you know that Mas Munding likes jail. Seriously, too," he said.

And the three of them had dinner together while laughing.
