Meysie and Ega (Part 2)

For Ega, the woman who was now lying weakly in front of him was always the most beautiful figure. He was the brightest star among the millions of stars scattered in the blackened sky. Even like a cup of water, he was able to quench the thirst of the musyafir.

"Thank God, Doctor. May she wake up soon from her coma" said Ega with her sweetest smile.

One Month Later

Ega fell asleep on the side of the patient's bed where Meysie was lying. His head was bowed to the mattress, while Ega's hand was never absent from holding his wife's hand.

That day I felt more comfortable than usual. How not? Throughout his sleep, he kept dreaming that his wife rubbed his head.

"Bang," Ega was like hearing Meysie call her.

"But! Ega Bang!" the voice sounded for the second time.

Inevitably, Ega also opened his eyes. A moment later, Ega rounded her eyes and her mouth saw her woman had woken up from her sleep.

"Darling, are you awake?" Ega immediately moved and hugged Meysie's body just like that. While Meysie is hugged, completely expressionless and just keeps her flat face, trying to digest what happened and wondering why the man who once betrayed her suddenly returned.

"Meysie's head is still sick, Bang," Meysie grimaced with the pain. His hand never returned Ega's embrace, and instead held his head.

"Well, we'll call the doctor to confirm your condition" said Ega, pressing a red button on the head of the bed where his wife was.

After a few minutes, the doctor came in followed by a nurse. Before long, they were busy checking Meysie's condition starting from checking her eyes, pulse, mouth, and some other parts of Meysie's body.

"Your wife's condition is quite stable, sir. After this we will remove all the tools attached," said the doctor with a happy letter that is very clear from the expression of his face.

"What did he say? Wife? Me? With Ega? I guess it was all just a dream" Meysie grumbled inwardly.

"That's natural, Sir, considering your wife just woke up from a very long sleep. For a long time, by itself the dizziness will disappear," explained the doctor was soothing.

"Thank you, Doc" said Ega with a grateful smile.

Doctors assisted the nurse finally released all the tools attached to Meysie's body. Only the infusion tube is still left and attached with sweetness in his left hand, to provide nutrients into Meysie's body, also to make it easier for doctors when they have to inject the drug he still needs.

After the doctor confirmed Meysie's condition once again, they finally left.

"Alright, congratulations, sir. Let us know if there's anything" the doctor said attentively.

As soon as the doctor came out, Meysie continued to look at Ega with a sharp glare. Noticing the gaze, Ega approached Meysie and rubbed her head slowly.

"Rest first, we'll talk later. Let me tell Mama and Hengky first," Ega picked up a cell phone and immediately gave happy news to her in-laws and sister-in-law.

"Meysie in this place how long, Bang? What the hell is going on?" scowl Meysie, holding her head which still hurts while trying to remember everything back.

"You're in a three-month coma, honey. Never mind. Don't be forced to remember everything now. You have to rest a lot" replied Ega as he continued to look at his beautiful wife.

"Then why is it that you're keeping Meysie here? Where are Mama and Hengky?" Meysie kept asking, as if wanting to know everything that happened as long as she was in a coma.

Ega was silent to the many questions Meysie asked.

"Did he really not feel it all?" the Ega in the heart.

"Don't tell me that what's in Meysie's dream is reality" Meysie's great-grandson began to unsettle.

"Alright, Honey. We'll talk again. You need a break," Ega tried to divert.

"Why, Bang? Is all Meysie's dreams really a reality?" Meysie kept demanding answers.

"What did you dream of?" Ega scrunched his forehead.

"Meysie had a dream, Brother married Meysie in this hospital" Meysie said.

"Don't you want it if it really happened?" ega raau.
