Until noon Jim showed me how the integrated company's financial system applications worked. Very hard lesson, I don't really understand the details. My head's dizzy. I think this system is too complicated.
Several times I asked Jim to repeat the review until I really understood what the functions and weaknesses of the system modules described. Jim then gave me 2 books. One titled practical financial management and the other guidelines for the use of financial applications.
"Read this first for a foundation of thought." Jim patted the picture book of buildings with the big dollar logo in front of him.
"After understanding just read this, our financial system application guidelines" he continued while handing over a thick book that if made nimpuk dog must have fainted so thick.
I grimaced, "Great weight, brother Jim. Is there nothing simpler?"
"Ngana tara needs to understand everything at once. Just slow. Learning something is working. Can't be instant. Can be understood while walking in conjunction with experience. No theory is perfect."
Today's lesson is too hard. Maybe my brain is already short because there are too many information flows and problems that whack.
"Today my brain is smoky, brother Jim. Dingy. Tomorrow after reading the book, I can ask you again."
"certain. Do not forget to enter the association of plantation entrepreneurs. Ngana can share experience and knowledge also with colleagues."
"Important to enter the association?"
"That's important. Sometimes we need to learn from the experiences of others who are engaged in the same field of endeavor. Every business has its own unique set of constraints. The handling may need something special and there may be no theory. By joining the association we can share common problems and find a way out together. Sometimes we can learn valuable lessons from other people's experiences without having to experience the problem ourselves."
I lay down on the back of the chair while scratching my head. Jim's right. I agree to join the association. Based on the experience of participating in the bird-loving community, I get many benefits and new knowledge from the experience of other community members. I think the atmosphere and function of the eleven twelve entrepreneur association with the hobby community.
Rather than having to study the complex financial systems and management of mining companies as Jim explains, it is better to share practical knowledge with people who are struggling in the same endeavor. It could be that plantations do not need a complicated financial system like mine companies. I have come to a valuable conclusion today, namely the recommendation to join the association of plantation entrepreneurs, especially pepper and cocoa commodities.
"Sa was suddenly forced to become a businessman. It is better to be a pandan mat craftsman or look for resin in the forest than to take care of a business that involves the fate of many people." I complained.
Jim smiled. Maybe Jim remembers my take on entrepreneurs whose brains only contain mums, geeks and geeks. Now I'm getting the stone. Being an entrepreneur is hard. There's a lot to think about. Efforts to increase production, marketing, finance to employee welfare are a problem that rolls around every time. Not all entrepreneurs are as cunning as I previously thought.
"Where are you going to eat this lunch, Fifa?"
"Sa wants to go home. Lunch with my mom at home. Su misses mama's cooking."
"Wait until Bray comes back from the meeting. Doi brought ngana here and will return to ngana have mama."
"Sa can go home alone to. It's not an inanimate thing that needs to be transported back to its place."
Jim grabbed my shoulder as soon as he saw me angry and stood about to leave. Both of his hands were clutching my shoulders. Both his eyes and his downward-moving head ordered me to sit back.
"Sorry! No offense, Fifa! Tara so I have a purpose. Let's talk for a second. I still miss you having a story. Don't you miss this handsome Jim?" talk to him in a soft and friendly voice.
"Today talking to Jim's brother makes me dizzy."
"Then we gossip. Tara is dizzy to think that the financial system may not necessarily be suitable for plantation businesses. Forgetit! The wind is God who set it to."
I nodded confirming his words. No matter how good the plan we make, God's destiny determines the outcome. Today I need to relax a little. My brain has been so tired of the many problems I've been having lately.
"Sa miss Aga." I said spontaneously. Today my mood is bad. Learning the system does not understand. Be patient waiting even feel unable. I want to go home soon so I can chat with my beloved bird.
"Is that the name of that clever red-headed parrot?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"What's he smart now?"
"Either. Ten days without meeting. Wonder what he's been able to do for 10 days."
Instead of answering Jim's question, I wondered what my new smart bird might be.
Ohhh, I miss the hoarse voice Aga greeted me every morning, "Assalamu'alaikum, beautiful."
For a long time I didn't hear that voice. The memory of his funny chatter and his fondness of perched on my arm made the longing even more so. I deliberately put a bright look so that Jim pityed and was allowed to go home without waiting for his boss to come. He is a sentimental man. Who knows if it will let me go home out of pity.
I twisted the end of my shirt. Still with a compassionate look begging for mercy.
"Pass. Mas Bray also has plans to see the aviary today."
This secretary explained her boss's agenda which was matched with my activities. Surely he's trying to keep me here until Bray has another decision that disallowed the plan. It's free for me to weld and twist the contents of the conversation. If it's the boss's orders there's no way Jim can be negotiated. Even with crying.
"So, you have to wait until what time?"
"If there is no obstacle 30 minutes the meeting is over."
Alright. I'm like a prisoner here. Have no choice. The clockwork is moving too slowly for me who wants to run away from here immediately.
"Ngana has not told how 10 days in Makassar. Pleased? Have you been anywhere?"
"Where are we busy working. Tarada time streets. There is a task and this problem. That's a lot."
"Pity. Should take time to heal, Fifa."
"Healing what?"
"Where less slang apparently. That term is trending on social media."
"Sa tara tau. The tara community never spoke healing."
"Healing means healing the soul, feelings, mind and mind that are distorted by many life problems. How to do something fun such as walking, eating, taking up hobbies and other things that can restore our psychology to be healthy again."
Oh. The bird community never talks healing. For them healing means taking care of and playing with their pet birds. If the definition is so meaningful my healing is to meet Aga, walk in the forest or see the behavior of birds in nature.
"Sa now just wants to see Aga. That's probably the most potent healing way. Only Aga can make me happy."
Jim looks confused. Running out of words to persuade me who can no longer wait.
Tick tick tick. I watched the clockwork moment by second. His slow movements felt tormenting me who was forced to wait.
"Why should I wait for Bray?" I was so upset that the words finally came out of my mouth.
"For ngana is special. Cook ngana not aware that ngana is privileged mas Bray."
"What is it?"
Jim answered with a smile. His hands were busy arranging the documents lying on his desk. He's still hiding something and I don't dare force him to reveal what he's hiding from me.
I'm special? What's special? Why would Bray privilege me? What does he want from a Fifa?
Azan dzuhur has passed. I don't want to wait anymore. I picked up the backpack and carried it on my back. "It's been an hour of waiting. Go home first, brother. If Bray wants to stop by the house can follow later."
Brak, the door opened as I was just standing from the director's couch. My mouth suddenly locked. My eyes immediately turned to Bray who entered with a slightly tangled face.
The man opened the suit, attached it to the back of his chair and rolled his shirt to the elbow.
"Please check again for documents that have not been resolved, Jim. Last check list sent to my email. Tomorrow the assessor will come out of lunch."
"Well, Bray."
"Follow me, Fifa! I'm taking you home now."
I said goodbye to Jim who showed off his warm smile towards us.
Is this one of the specialties of a Fifa? A company official took the time to drive home without being asked.
